I always thought of myself as a decent writer, and then a trip down memory lane through my ninth grade book of poetry confirmed it. I realize that I have always had a romantic side and a way with words. With support from my husband and kids (and an unspoken agreement to leave me alone for a few hours every night), I embarked on this incredible writing journey.
I’m originally from sunny Southern California and spent my summers in South Florida. I attended college at FSU and received my Masters in New Mexico. I finally settled in the Washington, DC area. My happy place has always been anywhere near the water.
When I’m not writing, I help run a business with my husband, watch an inordinate amount of sports (my kids play something 365 days a year), indulge my competitive spirit on the tennis court, and spend time with my awesome family and friends.
I am an avid reader, but find my characters feel neglected when I hang out with other author’s characters for too long. When I do read, historical fiction is my favorite genre. I love traveling and experiencing different cultures, places, and times.
I feel so blessed that my love of books inspired me to finally do something that I forgot I had always dreamed about doing.

I am stunned at the ending of this book. I feel like I have been on an emotional roller coaster since the beginning of the story. Alexa is a broken and tormented woman that hides behind the pretense of having everything together. A good job, good friends, an obsession with shoes and that is still not enough to hide the guilt that she lives with over the death of her ex-boyfriend. After a chance meeting with Julian, Alexa is ready to take back her life. She tries to be in a relationship but refuses to allow Julian to see the real her. Julian has a reputation of being a serial dater going from one woman to another but he is committed to building a real relationship with Alexa if only she’d let him in. Alexa tries to balance her life with Julian and her friendship with Luke. She refuses to see that Luke is in love with her too and he will use every opportunity to sabotage Julian. When things become too personal, Alexa runs until one night she cannot hide from the truth about the death of her ex-boyfriend. With her world spiraling out of control how hard is it for Alexa to ask Julian to stay? This book started out a little slow but suddenly the story took flight and became so much more than expected. I hope there is more to this story to be told.

Carnal; relating to physical, especially sexual, needs and activities.
Alexa Reed is a 25 year old woman who has had one hell of a year, through it all she has had her friends Marissa, Shannon, Krista and Luke her best friend. Tonight she is going out with them to meet up at Stellar night club located within Hotel Del Marco to celebrate his birthday. Luke is a bartender at Orion which is the rooftop bar. Upon arrival everyone proceeds to get their drinks in hand and head to the dance floor downstairs. As Alexa is descending the steps she keeps her head down to navigate the stairs when she runs into one of the hottest guys in this city Julian Bauer.
Julian Bauer is the owner of Hotel Del Marco young, rich and gorgeous. He is coming up the stairs and that's when she walks right into him spilling her drink all down the front of his shirt. He introduces himself to her and shakes her hand electricity shoots through her hand. Alexa can't believe who she just walked into of all the people in the world to walk into it had to be Julian Bauer. They both feel that immediate attraction. He flirts with her and she flirts right back at him.
This is a roller coaster! I was happy, sad, I was up and down. I love..... LOVE..... this story line between these two characters, the back and forth, the flirting and the carnal sexual desire that they have for each other is so overwhelming for Alexa. (and me the reader!!) Her friends encourage her to move on from Brady. They feel what she has with Julian could be good for her. But Alexa can't forgive herself. She must! If this is to work between Julian she needs to learn to trust him, to tell him everything and open to him. He is being so patient with her but he is getting frustrated with her as well. Luke is her best friend but it seems Luke may want more from Alexa and she seems to not even notice what his true feelings are although everyone else around her does even Julian sees Luke's true feelings for her.
I do not speak Spanish at all, except for what Dora taught my daughter LOL. But you made it so that when he speaks Spanish to her she repeats it in a way that I get what he is saying to her. LOVE IT! I am so happy that you did that because otherwise I would have had to stop and look it up lol so thank you! That was clever! (for me anyway)
Will Alexa open to Julian and finally tell him her deep dark secret that she never told anyone, not even her therapist? Will Julian STAY? Will he continue to love this woman after she tells him? This is her biggest fear. What will he think of her once she admits it’s her fault? Will Luke tell Alexa his true feelings finally? Will she feel the same way?
This is going on the top of my list as one of my favorites! I love this couple I really am rooting for them.
I started this book and could not put it down; my heart was racing for her and at times breaking as well. The sexual energy between these two HOLY HELL HOT!!! WOW!!! Keep this up Hilary!!! Great book!!

Wow...what an intense and steamy read! A story that will pull your emotions in all different directions. Definitely a story that you will love!
I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know all the characters. My fav being Julian. He is sweet, passionate and REALLY knows the right thing to say and do. The sexual chemistry between him and Alexa is mind blowing. I simple could not get enough of it. He also showed his vulnerable side which made me love him even more. And don't even get me started on the spanish he was speaking to Alexa...WOW! Sexy doesn't even begin to describe it. Wynne did a fantastic job on how she made the reader understand what he was saying through Alexa. She would repeat what he said in a way that flowed naturally and was never obnoxious.
Alexa has been through a lot and has a hard time trusting anyone. Due to the talented writing skills of Wynne, I was able to really feel what she was going through. How her many insecurities caused her to always want to run away. If she runs from what is hurting her then she won't hurt anymore, right?? But with Julian, she slowly starts to realize that running is clearly not the best answer.
Luke is Alexa's best friend and has been in love with her for as long as he has known her. There were times I didn't like him very much but love can make you do some things you aren't proud of...so I forgave him, lol. But will Luke finally admit to Alexa what his true feelings are?
In order for Alexa and Julian to truly be happy, they both need to open up and tell their truths. What happens when they do is something I will leave you all to read and find out ;)

I couldn't put this book down and read it in two and a half days. It was exciting, romantic and at times intense. I did not want the story of Alexa and Julian to end and I can't wait for the next book to be out already! Being a former student at FSU I loved the references to some of the popular bars that I remember going to in college too! As I was reading the book it took me right back to being in my mid-twenties and the feelings of really being in love and finding that one special person that you completely connect with! Thank you Hilary for sharing this story!

blogging the romance ... a new trend?
Written in the first person, this modern romance is like reading a blog with the comments turned off. At the end of the novel I feel as conflicted and overwhelmed as Alexa and, surprisingly, as glad to be serially unattached as Julian. It's rare to read a romance and not sigh just a bit for what you don't have at the end of the story. Stay is the only exception to that experience in my ferocious reading history.
The first seventeen chapters interested and amused me; made me roll my eyes and piqued my curiosity, oh and the sex was not only hot it was well written. This is extremely difficult to do in the first person. By chapter nineteen, I was struggling to hang on to empathy for *any* of the characters. By chapter twenty-three, I was frustrated; by twenty-seven I jumped to the end of the book to get to the Big Sekrit. There are forty chapters and I couldn't take it anymore!
It is chapter thirty-seven before you get to that by the way and it's viciously shoveled out there in a heated moment. Like Alexa, you want to run because you realize you've been manipulated as thoroughly as she has been. The characters barely get to react, never mind cope, before the book is over. Rather than being pieces of a puzzle put together so the bigger picture allows perspective to bring closure, your left with ragged, torn images and sorrow and anger and a bucket of doubt that even a baby step forward is genuinely being made. Just like that annoying real life you might be trying to escape for the space of a good book.
I went back to chapter twenty-seven and read to the end, hoping it wouldn't feel the same. Frankly, I closed the book despising Alexa's so-called friends, wanting to slap her parents and siblings, ready to file charges against the best buddy and a formal complaint with the American Psychological what-evah against the shrink! I also wanted to ask our hero if Alexa was a 5 instead of an 8 on that 10 point scale of perfection and was mediocre in banter, would he bother? Most of all I wanted to sit down with a cup of tea and Alexa and promise her it would be perfectly OK to tell her friends and the hottie new boyfriend to bug off and allow time for herself to actually deal and heal before rejoining the so-called "real world, the one where I socialize and date and enjoy my life."
But then, there wouldn't be a romance would there?
And yet ... I read every word, some of them repeatedly. I rooted for Alexa to keep trying and to have at least as much enthusiasm for her own life as she did her fashionable clothes and shoe collection. I wanted Julian to win her trust, despite the fact he's described in terms so similar to her best buddy I had to go back in several places and re-read to be sure whether it was Julian or Luke that Alexa was talking about. They were even the same height!
See, I was paying attention and in my humble opinion, that's the mark of a good writer. I read this book in spite of the lush locale, plot and twenty-something stereotypical angst because the author kept me interested. She fed my frustration, eye rolling and impatience like I was a monkey and she cornered the market on peanuts. The intimate scenes and emotional electricity were used in the story exactly as they are in life, to keep the characters connected even when everything else is going to hell in a hand basket. Ms. Wynne makes you want to believe with chemistry that good the rest of it just has to work out. It will be epic, any minute now, we're sure of that.
But be warned, this book leaves you hanging, clinging to hope but just not sure. Personally, I don't like being toyed with in that way. I want my story complete, not ending with a cliff hanger and promises of the rest of the story in Book 2. However - I think many folks will like Stay precisely because of that.

Major applause goes out to Hilary Wynne for writing what I have to say is one of the best novels of 2014. The story about Alexa (or Lexie) as she is known to her friends and the intense relationship between her Julian, will leave you wanting more. Wynne touches the hearts of her readers and digs deep into the soul with her writing and brings out only the best in her beautifully written novel Stay.
There were many of times she had me near tears with the words she wrote, so poetically written and so very dream worthy. The love between Julian and Alexa is so well written and seems so real, like they were two people who you had known all your lives. I felt so drawn to Lexie and I wanted to understand her better and what drove her to do the things she did. The way Wynne writes about Alexa and Julian's relationship is so real and so passionate, it never once felt like it was made-up. The passion and the fire between the two characters were brought to life in the strong words that Wynne wrote about. At times it felt like it was magic - and that the story was being acted out write in front of me.
The playful banter between the Alexa and Julian would lighten up the mood of the story, where at times it could be dark and moody. Stay never shied away from making relationships look fluffy and wonderful, because we know in real life they aren't always that way. Wynne used comedy as a way to break the ice and to lighten the mood between the characters and to allow the readers to laugh out loud. Wynne did an amazing job of writing a story that will stay with you and leave you wanting more.
Julian is the man that your mother always wanted you to marry, the one you always dreamed about and the one you never thought you could have. His words and his sincerity will leave you breathless and thinking you picked up a fairytale. One of my favorite quotes from the novel, "He's looking at me with tenderness in his eyes. "I've been waiting for you for a very, very long time. I'm just glad your finally here." Oh my God."
Let's not forget the intense and super hot sex scenes that Wynne can definitely play with words to leave you hot and desperately in need of a good, well you know .... The love scenes between the two are nothing shy of super erotic, deeply emotional and highly intense. Proceed with caution.
I can't tell you how excited I was at the end of the novel, to realize that it wasn't the end of the story between Alexa and Julian but only the beginning. With two more books out, Hilary Wynne has become my new favorite author. Hands down, definitely five stars. I urge everyone to pickup this book, download it on your e-reader or listen it to on your way to work .... because Wynne has written a best seller!

What an explosive emotion ride this book will take you on. I am like WOW. The chemistry between Alexa and Julian is almost like another character in itself. The supporting characters were great too. Their dialogue and interaction throughout the story make it all work perfectly.
Alex Reed is a very independent individual who seems to be dealing with a tragic event in her life her way. She sees a therapist once a week but still holds the secrets close to her. She is unable to trust anyone easily. She has her own way of coping when emotions and life get to be too much for her. As her life seems to be a schedule; when she literally falls upon Julian little does she realize that his is going to turn her almost steady life upside down.
Julian sexy business and hotel owner has been getting along just fine with his one night stands. He enjoys those. He knows what the ladies want and there is no emotional attachment. He needs to be control of all aspects of his life. But the beauty Alexa might be more than he can handle.
The emotional pull between the Alexa and Julian is seen from the first time they encounter each other. They are draw together and once they give into this pull things heat up quickly. Of course if it was just sex, they might both be able to survive but when their hearts start to feel something things get sticky.
As they decide a relationship is what they both want, it seems that every time they take a step in the right direction to make it work, they are taking two steps back. They are both to blame for this. Their relationship is a roller coaster. Alexa and Julian seem to be happy together but Alexa is barely holding on. The dark secrets that she has seem to be weighing her down. If she does not tell Julian soon, it may end things between them. And I am not sure if either of them will survive that.
When Luke decides to set in and show his true colors, he leaves a path of hurt for Alexa. Now she no choice but to tell Julian her secrets, ones that she thought no one would ever know about. Now she thinks Julian is showing pity on her. She can not deal with that. She needs to go dark and needs him to leave. But he has no plans of going anywhere. Alexa is the first person in years that has Julian wanting more out of life than just work.
I am looking forward to the next book in this series. What an emotion read that will capture you. You do feel for Alexa and all that she has been through but then how can your heart not break for Julian knowing that Alexa may end of breaking his heart. Ohhhhh until the next book then. Absolutely new fan of author Hilary Wynne.

Julian sexy business and hotel owner has been getting along just fine with his one night stands. He enjoys those. He knows what the ladies want and there is no emotional attachment. He needs to be control of all aspects of his life. But the beauty Alexa might be more than he can handle.
The emotional pull between the Alexa and Julian is seen from the first time they encounter each other. They are draw together and once they give into this pull things heat up quickly. Of course if it was just sex, they might both be able to survive but when their hearts start to feel something things get sticky.
As they decide a relationship is what they both want, it seems that every time they take a step in the right direction to make it work, they are taking two steps back. They are both to blame for this. Their relationship is a roller coaster. Alexa and Julian seem to be happy together but Alexa is barely holding on. The dark secrets that she has seem to be weighing her down. If she does not tell Julian soon, it may end things between them. And I am not sure if either of them will survive that.
When Luke decides to set in and show his true colors, he leaves a path of hurt for Alexa. Now she no choice but to tell Julian her secrets, ones that she thought no one would ever know about. Now she thinks Julian is showing pity on her. She can not deal with that. She needs to go dark and needs him to leave. But he has no plans of going anywhere. Alexa is the first person in years that has Julian wanting more out of life than just work.
I am looking forward to the next book in this series. What an emotion read that will capture you. You do feel for Alexa and all that she has been through but then how can your heart not break for Julian knowing that Alexa may end of breaking his heart. Ohhhhh until the next book then. Absolutely new fan of author Hilary Wynne.

This book had me hooked from the first page. It is the first thing I've read from this author and won't be the last. Her writing style had me furiously turning the page and staying up til 2 am to finish the story. The book had the right mix of sweetness, steam and angst. I also enjoyed all of her references to music because I am a firm believer that music has the power to heal.
It follows the story of Alexa who is struggling to move on from a tragic event that happened a year ago. She is a strong, but messed up character. At times I wanted to jump in the pages and slap some sense into her. Eventually, you find out why she is the way she is and it makes more sense. One night, she goes out, with much persuasion from her friends, and runs into Julian. Oh, sweet, sweet Julian. He is a dream come true; patient, kind, generous, rich and sexy as all get out (hotbutteredyum). He wants her, she wants him but she can't let go of her past and it causes all kinds of issues for them. The story continues with their relationship and how it progresses and then slides back and then forward and back again.
There is a great cast of secondary characters in this book as well. We hear about Julian's family and meet his brother Danny. Alexa's roommates and best friend Luke also play a big role in the book. I really wanted to like Luke, but I just couldn't. And when he does the unthinkable towards the end I don't feel bad for my earlier reaction to him.
Overall, this is a fantastic read. I can't wait to read part two of the story (Hold On) to see how everything plays out between Alexa & Julian.

Alexa is not just a beautiful woman but also independent. She is a strong woman who reminds me of the girl next-door type. She loves shoe shopping when she is upset to the point her closet if full to the brim. She hides from her past not willing to discuss it with anyone other than her therapist but even then does not get the whole story. She continually blames herself for her past.
Julian is the owner of Hotel del Marco. He is fascinated with Alexa and can’t get enough of her. He is a hot and sexy man who is also rich. Alexa is not interested in his money and had a hard time understanding why he is attracted to her. Julian struggles to prove her wrong and make the relationship with Alexa work.
The chemistry between Julian and Alexa is blistering. The sex scenes were hot and steamy. Julian has to battle the rumors Alexa’s best friend Luke spreads that Alexa is totally unaware of. He also has to battle Alexa’s poor self-image as well.

I didn't know much about this book when i started reading it. All i knew was that we would have a love triangle.
OMG: the story is absolutely overwhelming!!
The characters are so real that you can actually see them, feel them and the story is so beautifull and sexy at the same time.
We have a beautiful young woman, Alexa, that has some secrets from the past. Luke is her best friend from a long time ago and he is hot. Then she meets Julian, Luke's boss and her life changes. I felt completely in love with Julian because he is different; he's not the usual Alpha - male. He's hot, sweet, tender but has his moments of domination and self - pride. Julian is so beautiful inside and out. He fights for her.
The soundtrack and the steamy weather of South Florida makes the story even hotter.
Will he be able to make her stay? Read the book and you won't regret it. Yes, it's a cliffhanger but it's a very beautiful cliffhanger! So don't waste more time: buy it and read it. I promise you won't be able to stop any time soon. When you start reading it, you get really connected with the characters.
I give it five stars because it really deserves a five star rating. Not what i was expecting in the best possible way. And Hilary Wynne? Well, she deserves everything. Go for it!

First off, let me tell you, this book is a huge emotional roller coaster! There is so much drama and heartbreak in this story, that you may feel the need to cry. There will be other times in which you will want to celebrate or just throw your hands up in the air and scream in frustration. I felt all these emotions and more because of this book.
The main character, Alexa, has a troubled past in which causes her to become guarded in everything she does. But when she (literally) runs into wealthy bachelor, Julian, her whole world turns upside down. Throughout the whole book, Alexa tries to run away from Julian, no matter how much he shows her he loves her or how much she wants to return his feelings. Julian tries to get her to open up to him about her past, but she refuses to let him in. Everyone around her tells her that her best friend, Luke, was in love with her, but she doesn’t believe it until she decides to confront her problems head on.
Overall, I believe Author Hilary Wynne did an excellent job writing this book. I will admit that when I first started reading I thought, "Oh No, I know what is going to happen with Luke". Then I started reading and thought, who the heck cares. The chemistry between the characters and the plot had me hooked from the beginning. Oh and the ending, not what I was expecting.
Julian.... Julian... Julian... holy friggen hot tamale! This man just oozes sexy, at all times. Just something as simple as leaning against the wall and putting his arm above Lexie.... HOT!!! Plus, he always says the absolutely most swoon worthy things, but not in the corny way that makes you want to roll your eyes when you read it. And the sex!! Oh. My. Goodness! Seriously?!?! So friggen hot!
Then Alexa.... UGH!!! At times I wanted to scream at her "WHAT ARE YOU DOING????". She's been through a lot, but you don't find out just how much until the very end. She's been hurt and keeps walls up around her heart. But even she can't deny the attraction between herself and Julian.
Can Alexa and Julian get on the same page and make the relationship work? You'll have to read to see what happens (and you definitely want to read this book).

I like Alexa's character, she is so smart,witty,insecure and fragile as well. I like how she valued her friendship with Luke. Julian is a typical male alpha who really showed his love to Alexa. He really tried to understand Alexa's attitude because he love her so much. Alexa was so scared to trust anybody she tried to hold back her feelings to Julian which I find annoying sometimes.
I felt sad and happy every time they had a fight, after they fight Julian will do his best to win back Alexa and to patch up everything. At first I like Luke too but on the middle of the story he became possessive of Alexa and he tried to ruin Alexa and Julian's relationship.
This book came so much than I expected. The plot was bit different and the characters are amazing. I found the story,characters and relationship very realistic.
I'm so excited for the Book 2.

Lexie is a strong woman but has had a damaging past. She has a major secret that makes her feel incapable of loving and living her life. She meets Julian, and has secrets from his past too. He feels as if he can't love anyone. They are both strong people, but keep their past and hearts guarded. Both feel if the other learns their secrets they won't be willing to stick around. They have a hot chemistry together and both have a passion for their jobs and shoes. Lexie avoids the emotional part of their relationship but embraces the physical side. Julian wants both from her, physical and emotional. Will he be able to be strong enough for both them to make it work or will be fail and end up losing her?
An amazing roller coaster of feelings, lies and secrets. This was an amazing love story, I really loved this book. The characters are awesome and very well written. I think I may be a little in love with Julian myself. Great debut novel for this author.

Alexa definitely has some intimacy and trust issues, but all with good reason due to her previous boyfriend. We see early on that she has these and is working on it with the help of a therapist. Her friends talk her into going to a club and she comes face to face with Julian. There is an instant connection and they are combustible together.
Julian is one spicy Spanish speaking naughty talker. He is also the more open one in the relationship and spends most of the time not sure where he stands with Alexa due to her issues and inability to share about why she has them. I felt bad for him and there were a few times I wanted to shake some sense into Alexa. I loved that he was patient and talked things through with her trying to understand. Stay by Hilary Wynne is a steamy, sexy, can't put it down, modern day fairy tale. The characters are so engaging and relatable that I had to stay up until 1:00 a.m. just to see what happens to Julia and Alexa! The chemistry between the main characters is extremely hot, like the South Miami Beach setting, but at the same time realistic. As soon as I finished the book I wanted more Julian and Alexa in my life. I am looking forwar to the next book!!

I was approached by Hilary Wynne to read and review her debut novel, Stay. Stay is the first in this series and after reading this, I am hooked.
Alexa Reed has been just barely getting through life, ever since her ex-boyfriend and her broke up, almost a year ago. When her friends finally convince her to go out, Alexa literally runs into a man that will change her life.
Julian Bauer is the owner of Hotel Del Marco, which houses a club, bar, and restaurant. He’s sexy, confident, and wealthy. Every woman’s dream, right? Alexa feels an instant connection to Julian, but her best friend Luke is warning her away. She doesn’t listen.
Alexa and Julian fall into a relationship, one that is rocky but oh so amazing. They’re good together in bed, they have wonderful conversations, but Alexa is scared. I cannot praise Hilary enough for this novel.
The story line flowed really well. The plot was terrific! It had those WTF moments, those parts where you look at the book and literally say “WHAT?! NO!!!” It was one of those, and I love those types of books. I fell in love with the characters too. I felt close to them, like I knew them. Alexa, though, man, she’s one of those characters that I want to knock upside the head. This girl has problems, yes, but come on, Alexa. You’re blind! You have two people that are in love with you, and you can’t tell with either of them! Stop self-sabotaging yourself. Look at me, I felt so connected with Alexa, I’m literally talking to her, OVER A REVIEW. I need psychiatric help.
Anyways, like I said, there aren’t enough words for this book. It was incredible, sexy, steamy, and romantic. All the things I look for in a book. Hilary Wynne can write some pretty hot scenes, if you know what I mean.

I was contacted by the author Hilary Wynne to do a honest review for her book Stay. When I first started to read the first couple of pages I wasn't sure how the title Stay was incorporated in this book. Well as you read the book you will come to understand that Stay was the perfect title for this book.
The book's main characters are Alexa Reed who is 25, single, living in South Florida, has a great job, has great friends basically has it all. Well she really doesn't, what you find out as the book gets deeper is that Alexa is dealing with the loss of her boyfriend Brady a year ago after he died of a drug and alchol overdose. Alexa suffers from post tramatic symptoms of Brady's death.
One night while out clubing with her girlfriends she runs into the owner of the club Julian Bauer I mean really runs into him almost falls into him like tripping into him because she can't walk in her $300.00 shoes that she has on...That's the funny part of the book.
Julian is everything that you could imagine you would want if he was your dream man. Let's see he is Hot, Latin, Rich, Hot, Good Looking, Hot, Chick Magnet, Hot, Sexy, Hot....But what the reader doesn't know until you start to get more into the book is that Julian is not Alpha....He is so sweet and caring that at times I just wanted to scream at Alexa for not realizing Julian's worth he is an amazing man. I fell in love with Julian and the way he stays with Alexa with her drama dealing with all the emotions that she goes through. Alexa and Julian have an amazing chemistry together and sometimes all it takes is one look and you know that you have found home.
Yes, that is why the book is called Stay. It is about realizing that when you feel for someone and no matter how bad it can be you stay with the person through good and bad. Julian is that person in my opinion and then there is Luke.... Luke is Alexa's best friend who works for Julian and is Alexa's protector of all evil. There is tension with Luke and Julian at times as to who is better taking care of Alexa when she goes through her dark periods but you will have read for yourself who you think it is.
I loved this book and the way the author finishes the book and I say finishes the book not the story it is not a usually ending. There is not a cliffhanger but she leaves the story with more to come which I really liked because I am not a big fan of cliffhangers. I believe that Hilary is in the process of finishing up the second book which I am really looking forward to reading.
The book's main characters are Alexa Reed who is 25, single, living in South Florida, has a great job, has great friends basically has it all. Well she really doesn't, what you find out as the book gets deeper is that Alexa is dealing with the loss of her boyfriend Brady a year ago after he died of a drug and alchol overdose. Alexa suffers from post tramatic symptoms of Brady's death.
One night while out clubing with her girlfriends she runs into the owner of the club Julian Bauer I mean really runs into him almost falls into him like tripping into him because she can't walk in her $300.00 shoes that she has on...That's the funny part of the book.
Julian is everything that you could imagine you would want if he was your dream man. Let's see he is Hot, Latin, Rich, Hot, Good Looking, Hot, Chick Magnet, Hot, Sexy, Hot....But what the reader doesn't know until you start to get more into the book is that Julian is not Alpha....He is so sweet and caring that at times I just wanted to scream at Alexa for not realizing Julian's worth he is an amazing man. I fell in love with Julian and the way he stays with Alexa with her drama dealing with all the emotions that she goes through. Alexa and Julian have an amazing chemistry together and sometimes all it takes is one look and you know that you have found home.
Yes, that is why the book is called Stay. It is about realizing that when you feel for someone and no matter how bad it can be you stay with the person through good and bad. Julian is that person in my opinion and then there is Luke.... Luke is Alexa's best friend who works for Julian and is Alexa's protector of all evil. Oh where to start…I loved this book. In Stay you meet Alexa or Lexie and her close group of friends. First thing you notice about Lexie is she is hiding a very traumatic event. One that will rock your world when she finally reveals it. This book took me on an emotional roller coaster that I did not want to end.
There is two sides to Lexie, pre and post Brady. Brady is a boyfriend that sets her on a painful two year path, that comes crashing down around her. Her best friend Logan reveals that he knew all along about her secret with Brody. Logan has his own agenda with Lexie.
Alexa meets the sexy as sin Julian Bauer, and things in her life will never be the same again. These two have chemistry that is off the charts. But there is one person has a huge issue with Lexie and Julian, and that's Logan. He tries his hardest to keep them apart.
This book is full of swoon. Lots and lots of hot sex. At one point I thought my Ipad might catch on fire from the hotness. “I’d rather take this woman to bed than the one with the ponytail. I can picture you straddling me, and I can see your beautiful hair floating across my chest as you make your way slowly down my naked body.” OH MY HOTNESS! <3
As Julian and Lexie grow together, its not going to be an easy path. Her past will come crashing at her feet and Julian has to fight to Stay in her life. I can’t wait to read the second book.

Yet another debut author that now has me stalking her Facebook page!
Meet Alexa. She's the everyday girl next door with a shoe fetish and deep dark past she's been trying to run away from, and boy does this girl run! Literally and figuratively. She blames herself for the past, when her boyfriend deceived her in more ways than one. She's smart and she's even getting professional help. The only problem with that is she won't tell anyone the truth about what really happened to her.
She meets Julian at Hotel del Marco. He owns the hotel and they meet in stairwell of club Orion, inside the hotel. Well, let's say she slams into him and they combusted...but she thinks he'll never go for a girl like her. He's tall, dark, sexy as hell, and rich. She believes herself to be average, but boy does Julian prove her wrong. He's out to make Alexa his. They will go through disheartening struggles, a deranged best friend trying to break them apart, and Alexa's past meeting with her future.
So, this book completely kicked ass! This is like a 400+page book that has you riveted from the very beginning. Yes - this book has a cliffhanger, but you all know me. I stalked her Facebook page and she's been writing book two non-stop!

I don't read books like these, but this was the popular book club choice for the month after we discovered that one of our members is related to an author of erotic fiction, and that one particular protagonist in the author's collection may or may not be based on our book club friend.
This reads kind of like fan fiction. Absolutely perfect protagonist, other than her clumsiness and inability to completely open up to any of the many rich, attractive, cool men who are falling all over her. Love triangle in which she must choose between a filthy rich, incredibly attractive man and the guy-next-door type of incredibly attractive man, both of whom obsess over her despite having their pick from legions of women who are falling all over them. Excessive descriptions of the protagonist's makeup, hair, and shoe choices ("I slip into a black-and-white tie-waist dress, BCBG black wedges, and head into the kitchen." / "I'm wearing brand new Michael Kors black, caged, leather ankle booties with four-and-a-half inch heels... I add a skinny, silver tube necklace and slip on my signature silver hoop earrings. I have blown out my wavy, dirty blonde hair and pulled it into a messy, poufy ponytail.")

Stay is a good read. It's an emotional roller coaster of a read. Alexa is a great character but she is all over the place with her feelings. In the beginning of the book Alexa is seeing a therapist to help with the lost of her ex Brady. She has divided her "adult life into three phases: pre-Brady, during Brady, and post-Brady." Just from reading that I know Alexa was going to have an emotional story to tell.
Luke is one of Alexa's best friends. He is very protective of Alexa. He is also a very good bartender. Julian is Luke's boss. Alexa meets Julian when at the bar. Julian is a sexy Latin man. He has a reputation of begin a ladies man. Luke tries to keep Alexa from falling fro Julian. Alexa likes Julian but her issues in the past prevent her from fully giving everything to Julian.

I hate leaving bad reviews but with all of the really high ratings I felt I had to in order to show a differing opinion. The beginning of this book was okay. I liked Julian from the start and had hope that Alexa would get her act together and grow up a little bit. Unfortunately that never happened, in fact through the course of the book her maturity level seemed to go from a 16 year old to a 12 year old. This is not an attractive feature in a heroine. I get that something bad happened to her but quite frankly I don't know anything that would be bad enough to warrant her behavior. And how many times was she going to run away, shut her phone off, or get defensive when she didn't get her way or felt uncomfortable because some really gorgeous, filthy rich, super nice and attentive guy actually wanted to open up and have a relationship with her? Yeah, that's realistic. And please don't get me started on her "best friend" Luke. She was blind and he was a total jerk. Needless to say I will not be continuing this series.

This book made me feel a lot of emotions. It's an amazing book with great story and amazing characters.
This is one of the best for me so far. I love Hilary Wynne's style of writing. I didn't have a hard time getting in the book, however I had a hard time putting it down. It was just so good that you'll just want to finish everything before putting it down.

What a great story! I fell for the characters right away! Loved there chemistry together! Couldn't put it down, and wanted more. I love a story that can make me laugh! I can't wait to find out what is next from Hilary Wynne! Loved her writing style!

Love this book and author Hilary Wynne. You will fall in love with Julian Bauer, he exudes power and sex appeal. In walks Alexa Reed and his life is turned inside out! You will be hooked from the beginning and have to know their story!a must read!

Julian is young, handsome, and rich. He has everything he wants and nothing that he doesn't. At least that was the case until Alexa literally stumbled into his life. Women come and go in his life and that's exactly how he likes it. Alexa has changed that. He wants her for more than a night and he has no problem with this big change in his life. He is ready to explore his feelings, move forward, and make Alexa his. Unfortunately, he has met his match. Alexa is determined to be their biggest obstacle.
Alexa Reed has suffered a great loss and it has marked her forever. Losing her ex-boyfriend in a horrific way has made it so that nothing in her life is right. Talked into finally going back out on the town Alexa runs into the infamous Julian Bauer. Little did she know, her life was about to get even more challenging.
There were times that Alexa drove me crazy. I got annoyed with her for being her own worst enemy, but by the time I got to the end I understood the demons that were driving her to act the way she did. I loved Julian! I loved that even though he had his own demons once he met Alexa and recognized her as the one for him he jumped in with both feet and held on tight.
Alexa and Julian's story was hot in all the right places. Actually, it had a really good balance, in general. There was playful banter, hot anticipation, drama, and sizzling love scenes. If I had to pick out one major annoyance it would be that there were times the story was redundant or dragged on a bit. It wasn't enough to ruin the story for me and I am on the edge of my seat for the next one.

This story takes you up to your highest and down to your lowest. I was captured by all of the main characters right off, and slowly with all the rest. The story line is so believable with that of two damaged and seemingly broken people who have instant chemistry. Julian and Lexie have a fast paced romance with steamy erotic scenes that captivate and titillate you almost from the start. With other characters trying to break them apart at every turn, it makes you not want to put it down. I absolutely love Hilary Wynne's style of writing, it has all the perfect factors that make up an awesome novel. Wonderfully edited, easy read. I'm anxious for the next in the series "Hold On". I wholeheartedly recommend this series to all mature readers.

dnf at 27%. It's told in the first person narrative through the heroine, which didn't read smoothly to me. I called it quits when I lost track of how many times she said or thought 'totally'. It was just one of a few things that really wasn't working for me.
