I found this novel different from what i am reading. Different as style and type of story. It is captivating and complex. Covers a lot of details that sometimes we're hard to read but in the end, the general feeling that I am left with is pleased with the end. The last 6 chapters made me hate myself that I can not read faster. Beautiful work!
I held this book a long time before reading it - and wish I had known it would be so enjoyable. The author has taken some twists and turns in the book, so it's hard to know who the bad guys actually are until close to the end of the book. There is also a good storyline about filming a show, while the 'whodunnit' is happening around it. Enjoyable and recommendable.
Thoroughly enjoyed that from the betraying best friend, to the marvellous Avril and her exhibitionist tendancies we get to Carla finally getting her mojo back even in the face of the awful Rosa!
I didn't find this novel as gripping as some of Susan's other titles (eg, Obsession, Chasing Dreams, Dance While You Can) but Ifound it an easy read with many twists and turns and a very suprising ending (as always) and maybe even a tad insightful into what it is like to endure and move on from insurmountable grief and dispair and even the most unexpected betrayal. My heart was heavy throughout following the main characters dilemmas. I would recommend this book if you are happy with a less exciting and dramatic book from Susan Lewis that is instead an emotional journey about getting over the worst in your life and moving on.
