A 21st-Century Edition of a Great Checkmate Collection!

This is about the Russell Edition...........

Mistakes in the solutions for decades were finally corrected but some were introduced in the diagrams like 104 and 128 the White King in both of them is missing but they aren't in the original book! Very minor proofing issues like that can be found here and there I just looked in the older book where they should be and penciled them in the new book whenever I found them.

The binding is improved I had 4 copies of this book from when I was a kid and no matter how careful I was they would fall apart that is a welcome improvement.

The newer book was updated to algebraic notation overall good job.

Great collection featuring problems with all different kinds of tactical themes and ranging in difficulty. Can never work on pattern recognition too much.

The more you practice, the better you get, and a couple trips through this puppy should be good for at least a 300 pt ratings boost...perhaps higher if you're currently below 1000!

Commit to working 12 of these exercised a day and you knock the entire 1000 out in under three months. Do it.
