My name is Jake Provance and I’ve really enjoyed a wonderful life with God.

I’m 27 and live in Tulsa Oklahoma where I’m Married to a beautiful, godly, woman named Leah. She makes life exciting in the most mundane of settings. I graduated from Domata Bible school in Tulsa Oklahoma and feel called to love on people, and help connect people to God, through writing and pastoral ministry.

I love reading, and have a passion for loving on people through the printed page. I have written five books and have plans to write several more. My first book "Keep Calm and Trust God" has sold more than 700,000 copies, and I thank God every day for allowing me to reach so many people through the ministry of writing.

This is a short book loaded with practical advice and prayers. In these trying times, the authors give sound, godly advice which can help with overcoming anxiety, fear, worry, frustration, etc. I read this in one sitting, and I'm so glad I did. I was greatly encouraged after reading this book. I plan to use this as a reference whenever I am struggling with negative emotions or stressful circumstances.

Are you discouraged? Overwhelmed by busy-ness? Just having a hard time right now? Then this little book is for you! I don't know how the authors could have stuffed any more encouraging comments, pertinent prayers, appropriate Scripture verses, or inspiring quotations into this short (76 pages) volume. The chapter titles are: Anxiety, Worry, Fear, Depression, Pressure, Regret, Stress, Frustration, Self-Criticism, Seeking The Approval Of Others, Fear Of The Future, and Unexpected Setbacks. If you are having, or are trying to get over having, any of the above difficulties, this book will help you immensely to Keep Calm and Trust God! Needless to say, Highly Recommended.
Two sample quotes:
"Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time." - Thomas Edison
"The sea is dangerous and its storms are terrible, but these obstacles have never been sufficient reason to remain ashore. Unlike the mediocre, intrepid spirits seek victory over those things that seem impossible. It is with an iron will that they embark on the most daring of all endeavors, to meet the shadowy future without fear and conquer the unknown." - Ferdinand Magellan

I found this booklet in a box in our garage and I don’t recall if it belonged to my wife or I, but don’t at all think it’s a coincidence that I stumbled across it. There’s so much spot on encouragement—not just positive talk, but affirmation of things I already knew to be true and just needed to hear coming from someone else.

The verses, quotes from accomplished people, and everything else were great and very easy to digest and apply. Good things come in small packages!

A neat little devotional book that I stumbled upon right at a time in my life when I really needed it. The only reasons I don’t rate it higher are because it’s a little bit “name it and claim it” for me when it comes to depression and anxiety (as in: you can stop if you really want to and if you just trust God), and some parts were a bit repetitive. Overall I found it a neat quick read.

Favorite line: “God is not in heaven criticizing you; He is at the head of a great crowd of witnesses cheering you on!”

Saw this book on a shelf near checkout in CVS pharmacy. Read this small little book when i was 17 and homeless. Oh how i clutched that little book and took it everywhere with me. It gave me hope in a dark time, and for that i will always be thankful. It’s only 70 pages and more so a pamphlet in it’s own right. But i read it over many many times until the pages became bent and browned from overuse. It’s like God directed me to read this book. I’m 20 now and doing much better, and I’m thankful for the light God showed me in those dark times, and the valuable lessons i learned because of them. “Keep calm and trust in God.” It might just very well take you places if you do.
