The book should be read with sufficient background on Lukacs' philosophy and also other works, which I personally did not have. The manuscript mainly intends to show that Lukacs' thinking remained integrated through his life although it might not seem stable. There is also other articles in the book other than the main article. One is going through his whole life and highlights his intellectual activities and the related vicissitudes.
