Benyamin (born 1971, Benny Daniel) is an Indian novelist and short story writer in Malayalam language from Nhettur, Kulanada, Pattanamtitta district of the south Indian state of Kerala. He is residing in the Kingdom of Bahrain since 1992, from the age of twenty, and his works appear regularly on Malayalam publications in Kerala.

Benyamin is the author who surprised literally every Malayali with his masterpiece, Aatujeevitham. This is another book by him which is a collection of his stories. Though it doesn’t reach the level of Aatujeevitham, it still will be a great choice to read, particularly if you love to read a short story collection.

Poorly Crafted !

37 short stories of Benyamin ! Unfortunately it is not upto the mark of his novel Narrations. Some of the stories are just happy-fying. But other than that a worthless read. Ok to go stuff. That's it

37 കഥകളുടെ സമാഹാരം. യൂത്തനേസിയ, പെൺമാറാട്ടം, ഇ എം എസും പെൺകുട്ടിയും എന്നീ പുസ്തകങ്ങളിലെ കഥകളും ഇതിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു. പീഡിതമായ മനുഷ്യജീവിതങ്ങളും വൈകാരികമായ മുഹൂർത്തങ്ങൾ ഉള്ള കഥകളും ഇതിലുണ്ട്. എന്നാൽ ചില കഥകൾ തീരെ പ്രതീക്ഷയ്ക്കൊത്ത് ഉയരുന്നുമില്ല.

Benyamante Kadhakal…

When you intend to read collection of stories, need to accept a fact that it may contain both satisfying and dissatisfying one.
In this, there are lot of good stories in which successfully portraits human pain, joys and struggle. But when try to use sexuality, fell flat and ended up as a mere adult story without any novelty.
Nevertheless he is an author to read out, with a power to engage you with his writings.
