Wondered why I had picked this up from the Library. However, great to read a historical read of early Australia and the arrival of the Europeans and the conflicts with the Aborigines as the new settlers scramble for land claims.

Thoroughly enjoyed this easy read …. Wonderful comments …” the emu and kangaroo never move backwards”. What a great way to look at your life as we age gracefully… backwards is great for old endearing memories, but forward is life.
Give the book a try … a slight saga but it’s written in such a way that the pages keep turning!

Enjoyed it just as much as the other 2 in the trilogy. An epic drama set in Queensland in the early, hand often lawless and sometimes dangerous times.

3 stars is probably a bit much since it's melodramatic, ridiculously eye-rolling even, and pure triviality but it was such a welcome diversion from all the stress around me that I really enjoyed this fluff and nonsense... :D
