ARBA, (2009). Introducing issues with opposing viewpoints review.
College is just one title of a series called Introducing Issues with Opposing Viewpoints. This book addresses a number of ideas relating to college such as who needs college, how to chose a college, and how to pay for higher education. While this book does, as its title suggests, offer two different perspectives on these subjects, it may leave young adult readers with as many questions as answers. This may be the author's intent, to stimulate questions and discussions. For the student looking for specific assistance or answers they will not find them here. College is a book that would be useful to parents and high school juniors or seniors to read and discuss the many issues they may not have considered. It will help parents broach subjects that are difficult and open communication. It is not likely to be a book that teens will pick up on their own. Recommended.
