This is a wake up-to-bedtime story. We follow a girl through her day and see all of the friendly playthings, foods, scenery, and activities that surround her. The high point is the style of illustration: with objects and paint, each scene has a three dimensional look.

I thought this book was pretty cool. It was a really good story but what I thought was the coolest part were the pictures. THey weren't normal illustrations but instead were photographs of dolls and teddy bears in order present the story visually.

The illustrations on this book are pretty impressive for the effort it took to create and pose all of the separate pieces and the narrative has a lyrical quality to it.

I love this book! I used to read it to my preschoolers every fall. The story is about one child playing on a fall day with the child's imaginary friends. The big draw here would definitely be the illustrations, which are done in a 3D style with adorable details for the sharp-eyed reader.
