I loved reading this devotional daily. I found it easy to keep up with and easy to understand. Jennifer Smith was able to articulate seemingly hard concepts in a simple, non-confusing way. Needless to say, I learned a lot! She combined scripture reading, devotional reading, prayer, active challenges and journal writing, all-together, into an encouraging interactive experience. I highly recommend this for Christian wives who want encouragement and knowledge in their ministry role of being a wife.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this devotional. I also love the author as a person even though I've never met her. I learned so much through this devotional to become a better wife and also to have a closer personal relationship with God. I'm a young wife. 22 years old and I'll be married to my husband for 2 years in october. I don't have role models around. Every relationship i've seen has failed. When I married, I promised to be the best wife I can be. This book has helped me in so many ways that I cannot explain. You'll heave to read it for yourself to experience the extraordinary. I noticed how more at peace I am, How my relationship with my husband and God has chaged for the better and how much closer I am to the both of them. It's such and amazing read. I encourage all wives to read Wife After God.

This is an excellent resource for Christian wives. It's very well-written - offering kindness, encouragement and challenge to the wife who wants to walk closer with her God and with her husband. Each chapter is relatively short, but packed with a solid teaching, including a lovely prayer and good questions to consider.

This is the first devotional that I've actually finished. I bought this book thinking that I could get some tips about being a better wife in my relationship but I got so much more out of it than that. I credit this book with helping me get on track with my relationship with God and my husband. I cannot recommend this book enough. Day 13 was the one that really hit home with me. ( I struggle with pride ) I will definitely re-read and study this book again in the near future because it is so relevant to all wives out there. Read the bible, and read this book with it and if you take the words to heart, you will be changed. I have no doubts.

This is a great devotional, especially for new wives! I thought it would be helpful to list "pros & cons" based on my experience.
Pros:
1. I liked that each day was short and sweet. The author referenced Scripture and then went right into application.
2. It was an easy read, not requiring too much deep theological thinking. Very practical.
3. The format was good; I liked the prayer, challenges, and questions.
Cons:
1. I think I would have appreciated it more if she had started with one or two Scripture references and then added "for further study" or something like that. Sometimes there might be four or five passages to read. GOOD that she based the study on Scripture, but I thought it would have been more effective to focus on one or two.
2. This is probably being picky, but I found several typos throughout the book.

Overall, I would recommend this book. It is not for you if you are looking for in depth theology, but it is great if you want general encouragement about being a Godly wife. I really love the author's blog and think she is doing a great ministry!

Practical and easy to read, but not super in-depth (I think I was expecting more). It is set up devotional style, with a topic, Scripture to read, short devotional, questions to consider, and a prayer.

There were a few editing issues in the book and I have to admit I was annoyed by the status update at the end of each chapter. To me that sort of negated the fact that you are praying and journaling over your marriage, but quick - update your status. A bit of a mood breaker, if you will.

This book really challenges you as a wife. It asks to you rethink those things that you have built up and to tear them down. It asks you to be authentic, not just with your husband but with God. I have not only through this study reflected on my marriage, but with my relationship with God.

Very thankful for this book. It has become a staple in my life that I know I will continue to use (likely for a lifetime). Married ladies, do yourself a favor and get yourself a copy. If you have a friend getting married, it beats all other gifts... get her a copy.

Really great daily devotional especially for those who are growing within their Christianity and wanting to pursue a more biblical marriage. After 12 years of marriage some of the points were already known, however I was able to reflect on past instances and grow from each devotion.

Following the advice of Jennifer Smith, the author, I wrote down the focus verse of the day, what God is teaching me, prayer and answers to questions. Some days have challenges included in them. There are times I feel the questions were too many, usually three, and too difficult. Maybe I feel like I’m taking an exam, or maybe these questions dig into issues I have trouble facing. It’s good to have my heart examined, right? Maybe it’s just me, hehe!

These are the things I like about Wife After God:

-It is based on the Bible. The messages and thoughts were written according to the focus verses. This is very important because God’s Word is the truth. This devotional aids in the practical application of Scripture.

-It assures me of God’s love for me. He is faithful even if I make mistakes and hurt my husband, intentionally or unintentionally. God forgives me and in turn, I model this forgiveness to my family.

EXCELLENT devotional for women with insightful and thought provoking questions to apply to our lives and marriage. Helped me with staying focused with a 30 day plan on praying for my husband and asking for God to help me see Him thru HIS eyes...it worked! VERY good and highly recommended 30 day devotional. I truly believe that if anyone experiencing a "rocky" marriage would read this book before shutting the door and separating from your spouse.......there would be a lot less divorce and much less guilt and heart-ache as a result of those decisions. God's plan is for restoration IF we are willing to humble ourselves, submit to God's Word and walk in faith AND PRAY for our husbands instead of trying to fix and change them all the time! Can I get an AMEN????

I first came across Unveiled Wife and her new book, Wife After God through Simply Clarke. I knew I right away that I wanted to look into this devotional that came from this genuine little blog. It’s obvious that Jennifer (the author) is truly experiencing the power of Christ, and desires to share with everyone around her the beauty of marriage that is centered on Him. So I set off to Starbucks to start my journey of drawing closer to my God and my sweet husband...

This was a wonderful devotional. I would recommend to anyone; newlyweds, engaged women, and even those who have been married a long time. I found this devotional a useful tool to help MAINTAIN - it's not meant for couples who are on their last leg of marriage that really require in-depth counseling.
Thank you Jennifer Smith for this awesome book. I found it uplifting and the exercises you suggested helped me take a look at opportunities in my own marriage to give it a "love boost".
Overall, I definitely would tell others about you book.

Short, simple devotions about being the wife God called you to be. What I liked best about these devotions was the questions at the end of each day that the author encouraged you to journal. Some of the questions were expected, but at least one each day got me thinking about changes of heart or improvements to my behavior I could/should make. If you are looking for something that doesn't take too much quiet time but will get you thinking throughout your day, this might be the perfect fit.

Wife After God: Drawing Closer to God & Your Husband was an awesome read! I felt a connection to the writing and it reflected many of my own marriage struggles. I felt Jennifer's heart come through as she wrote this 30-day devotional. This book was a great source of information and encouragement for my own marriage.

The content of this book was merely good, not great. The author had wonderful intentions but desperately needed an editor. I have little patience for platitudes and these were rife with grammatical errors. It was painful to read at times but I pushed through because my husband enjoyed the matching "Husband After God" book, which was slightly better than this book. Despite its shortcomings the questions were thought provoking and I loved that there were several scripture references to read each night.

My husband and I began reading this book together, with his copy being “Husband after God”. Literature such as these beautifully written and compelling words from the sprit is the difference between “life and death”. By saving our marriage we glorify the lord and honor him which is
no words can describe and only singing songs of praise to on the almighty can be heard. Please read this book at any time, protect the blessing your Heavenly Father has given

Cordially, your coupon clipping, prison wife standing in the lord’s armor.

I really like this devotional. It helped me get to know myself and my husband a lot. It also showed me how important it is to put God at the center of my relationship. I highly recommend all couples to read it whether you are married or not. Also, I suggest using a journal and not writing directly in the book because I've gone back through out the years and re-read it and did the activities again. Things change as you change and grow in your relationship so answers change.
