Abraham Maslow put the desire for "self-actualization" at the top of his famous pyramid of human needs. Maslow taught us that we will never really be complete, happy, or satisfied unless we are striving for our full potential. That is why I wrote this book. This book is about thriving as your best self. It's about thriving in a world where so many people settle for average.
Other books on personality types include brief descriptions of each type, sometimes with a few tips. This book goes deeper than any other book, website or guide and includes the reasoning behind the strategies so you can truly understand the INTP.

I'm an INTP so it was interesting. It'll be for those who aren't but want to understand one.

This 'book' seems like it was written for quick, easy sales. Little care has gone into it and it felt very rushed. Numerous spelling and grammar mistakes do not help convey a sense of craft. It contains just the bare basics which you'd be better off getting from one of the many websites on the topic, e.g. personalityjunkie.com. At one point he even incorrectly referred to the INTP as having introverted intuition - wow. The career section in particular was a real let-down - it was just a list of a few dozen jobs without any individual analysis or explanation. He introduced the weaknesses section with the suggestion that they should be studied in order that they can be ignored... not that he doesn't contradict that in other places with the arguably more healthy suggestion of development. At least he's honest and cites the Wikipedia articles he summarises.

Very great place to start

I chose to buy this book because I wanted to learn about myself first and foremost.. Then after reading more and more I started relatively thinking about others and how they differ from me and what I could learn if I read about other personality types! As my title says it's a good place to start if you have little to no knowledge about your personality type but there is also tons of information on the web.

Very short read. A few minor grammar mistakes.

Overall it was an interesting read. It explores the INTP personality through their lens and through other personality types' lenses.
