I recently ordered this book and have been so blessed by every single page so far. I have struggled with anxiety as a Momma and this book has brought so much peace. I also love the prompt at the end of each section. A must read and a must to share with friends!
I am not an overly religious person. I have my beliefs and my religion, but I don't usually read something that discusses religions. I have seen posts about "praying for the momma who..." (fill in the blank here), and have noticed how much I love the idea of these messages. I just want to say that all mommas could use this book. Whether it's to get them through one day or emotion or a whole lot, it is such a comfort knowing you're not alone in your struggles. #GoodreadsGiveaway

You can read this book from cover to cover, or you can thumb through it and find a title that catches your eye when you need it late at night.

Excellent devotional for all mommas!! Definitely makes an excellent gift! A good devotional book is hard to find in a sea of cheeky and cheesy, but Tonight We Pray for the Momma is anything but those. Becky Thompson and her mother, Susan Pitts, deliver their second devotional book with the same authenticity and truth-packed goodness that Becky's fans have grown to love. The book has 100 short, truth-filled, easy-to-read devotions for every kind of mom. The charm of each chapter is in Becky and Susan's ability to "be real" in their stories. They are raw. Emotional. Truthful. You never feel like you are getting a packaged "Christian" story or scenario that is disconnected from the reality of every day life as a mom. You know that behind the scenes they are actually praying for the moms to whom they are writing. But even greater than the authenticity is the solid truth of God's Word that comes with each devotion. These aren't just Becky and Susan's "lived experiences" but they are instead the holy, unchanging, truth of God's Holy Word. Becky and Susan care that they are leaving you with timeless wisdom from God, and they care for you too, momma! You definitely want to get your hands on this book!
If you enjoy or look forward to the Midnight Mom Devotional posts on social media each night, this will be a really encouraging read. The Midnight Mom Devotional prayers are written as just that—prayers for a specific type of mom, or moms in specific situations. This devotional book is similar and starts out naming a specific type of mom (the overwhelmed mom, the mom waiting for a miracle, etc.) and includes a truth-filled devotional pertaining to that mom, written by either Susan or Becky. Each devotional is a beautiful and short read, which makes them perfect before-bed reads. I know I’m not the only mom who struggles with racing thoughts right before bed; these devotionals are a great way to calm my mind down and focus my thoughts on Jesus before I go to sleep. Each devotional also ends with a space for writing notes, your own prayer, or the name of someone you are praying that prayer over, which is a nice inclusion. I have loved all of Becky’s books and appreciate her and Susan’s realness and their heart for moms of all stages of life—this newest book is no different and definitely one I will gift to other moms in my life.
The mother daughter duo -from Midnight Momma - did it again!!!!!! Their new book “Tonight We Pray for the Momma” came at just the right time for me. I was blessed enough to receive a copy early from an event and I can't put it down. This book is just what every momma needs no matter if your kids are littles or grown or what season of life you are in. W all have our own "midnight moments" and need encouragement and hope especially bathed in the Word of God. This book would make the perfect Christmas or anytime gift for your sisters, mom friends, teachers, anyone in your life honestly! We can all relate and be inspired by the words and stories that Becky and Susan share. I am shouting from the rooftops and telling everyone I know to get their hands on this book. Buy it you know you want to - I promise you won't regret it!
Sometimes we mommas are a little anxious. Sometimes we are worried a lot. Then other times we are desperate in our stressful situations! God can use this book to address our midnight prayers, crying out for help. The authors use Scripture, examples and Biblical assurances to not give up, to have hope. For example, we are reminded to not be so hard on ourselves. I Corinthians says, "Love...keeps no record of wrongs." While we can forgive others, we might not give grace and patience to ourselves! When our thoughts race into tomorrow instead of sleeping, we can be reminded that in Romans 8:28 it says, "We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." We can consider that this book is another way God answers our prayers for help! I appreciate being able to read this advanced reader copy. The views expressed are my own.
Tonight We Pray is a heartfelt and spiritually warming book specifically designed for those in all aspects of motherhood. In today's fast-paced world, moms often find themselves overwhelmed with the responsibilities of parenting, work, and daily life. This devotional offers a sanctuary of calm and reflection, making it a valuable companion for any mother seeking a moment of peace in her busy day. Susan and Becky have poured their hearts and soul into this devotional and you can truly feel it. Do yourself (and your heart) a favor and read this!!
I loved this devotional. My problems with it were definitely me problems-I don't love devotionals because I like to read a book cover to cover and not have a bunch of ongoing books. Therefore this book took me a solid 8 months to read because I wasn't consistent about it, but almost every day I was taking pictures and sending them to various friends or reading them on youtube because there were just so many that hit home. The prayers were the BEST. The way these mamas pray over the reader brought me to tears many times. HIGHLy recommend.
I absolutely love Tonight We Pray for the Momma. Reading Susan and Becky’s words I feel seen. They are both so honest and transparent in their writing that it’s like talking to a friend. This book and their previous books have helped get me through some dark times. Their writing is truly inspired by the Holy Spirit and will meet you wherever you are!
The unique and beautiful way these two women write. I love how they share their story and then relate it to a bible passage and then end with a prayer. This book is the friend we all need in our lives. It is my favorite one so far.
Full of inspiration, encouragement and thoughtful prayers, this book is a must have for all mommas in their different walks of life. This book came to me at just the right time when I was struggling and helped me get back on track. I highly recommend it.
Prayers to uplift and encourage at every stage and season of motherhood! These are the best collection of prayers from the far reaching Midnight Mom Devotional, I will enjoy these for many years to come. Amazing gift for the mamas in your life!
This book is wonderful for all mommas! Motherhood is full of many feelings and we all need to know that we are not alone! This book is full of beautifully written devotions and prayers for all of those days that we need to know that the Lord is always with us.
A very solid and thought provoking devotional for mothers. It didn’t blow me away or leave me really thoughtful so I feel like it’s more of a 3 star, but it was well written/designed and I appreciated some of the perspectives.
Becky Thompson is one of my favorite mom authors to listen to. She is so encouraging and I cannot count the amount of times I’ve been reading or listening to her books and just the right message comes at a time when I need it most. She will make you feel heard, seen and loved. By her and by God.
I am loving this book so far! Becky and Susan dive right into the hard parts of being a mom and meet you with encouragement from their own lives and from scripture. Reading this, I feel seen!
I have been a fan of Becky and Susan since I found their Facebook page that incorporated prayers for Mamas in all seasons of this journey. It was late one night and I was up with a sick kiddo and was at the end of myself. Their post gave me something to pray on and I ended up spending the rest of my night awake reading all of their prayers and feeling some peace in the middle of an unknown sickness and a little that would only sleep on me. Now, my kiddos are bigger but I still love to read Becky and Susan’s nightly prayers on their page. I still find many of them relatable as my kids grow. I absolutely love that they have turned them into a book. In the book they each share a story to go with the 100 prayers they have included in their most recent release. I love it because some of their more popular prayers are now in print for me to read and re-read without scrolling back to find them on Facebook.
Midnight is not just the time of day. As a momma we are always on the go constantly. It’s a beautiful thing to have special prayers for those moments in life when you don’t have the words for the prayer you need. Becky Thompson and her mom Susan Pitts have been writing prayers nightly on Facebook for years now they have picked the 100 best ones for all us mommas who need prayers. This book made me cry and laugh and just feel at peace. They share stories in their life God has been there for them during times of need.
