Don't fall in love with the wrong man. She'd done it before and wouldn't do it againor would she? Because Love 101 isn't a class you can take at the Y, Amanda Scott knew she'd have to rely on her instincts. Fate placed Jordan Richards right in front of her nose…and chemistry took it from there. But things got a little dicey (as things will do) when her ex-lover showed upwith his estranged wife not far behind. Yikes! And you thought you had issues. Despite her growing affection for Jordan, Amanda found herself repeating old mistakes. But if she made one more false move, she might find herself all by her lonesome.

The daughter of a town marshal, Linda Lael Miller is a #1 New York Times and USA TODAY bestselling author of more than 100 historical and contemporary novels, most of which reflect her love of the West. Raised in Northport, Washington, Linda pursued her wanderlust, living in London and Arizona and traveling the world before returning to the state of her birth to settle down on a spacious property outside Spokane.
Linda traces the birth of her writing career to the day when a Northport teacher told her that the stories she was writing were good, that she just might have a future in writing. Later, when she decided to write novels, she endured her share of rejection before she sold Fletcher’s Woman in 1983 to Pocket Books. Since then, Linda has successfully published historicals, contemporaries, paranormals, mysteries and thrillers before coming home, in a literal sense, and concentrating on novels with a Western flavor. For her devotion to her craft, the Romance Writers of America awarded her their prestigious Nora Roberts Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007.
Long a passionate Civil War buff, Linda has studied the era avidly for almost thirty years. She has read literally hundreds of books on the subject, explored numerous battlegrounds and made many visits to her favorite, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, where she has witnessed re-enactments of the legendary clash between North and South. Linda explores that turbulent time in The Yankee Widow, a May 7, 2019 MIRA Books hardcover, also available in digital and audiobook formats.
Dedicated to helping others, “The First Lady of the West” personally financed fifteen years of her Linda Lael Miller Scholarships for Women, which she awarded to women 25 years and older who were seeking to improve their lot in life through education. She anticipates that her next charitable endeavors will benefit four-legged critters.

The premise: two idiots fall in love and make a mess out of it.

That’s pretty much all I could say on the matter.

She was an idiot because she thought her ex was dying, promised him they would try again (and he was married!), and then didn’t have the guts to tell her present guy, because she was afraid of losing him. She did anyway once he found out (and not from her, mind you).
He was an idiot...For jumping to conclusions, for fearing of falling in love again (his wife died in an accident three years prior)...At least he didn’t crawl coming back when he started to miss her. That would’ve been the last straw, since she was the one who was most wrong.

It wasn’t bad—the parts when these two adults didn’t act like idiotic teenagers—but the rest was just pathetic.

Maybe 3.5 stars

This book wasn't life changing but it just hit right and I really enjoyed it. Its one of her older books (published in 1990, I think). But I still really enjoyed it. Its a sweet, spicy and bit dramatic novella. It starts off just before Christmas, so it could be a holiday novella. The drama was a bit blown out of proportion but still realistic.

This book was typical amateur romance. Contrived dialogue, silly bickering, raunchy sex scenes. It wasn't terrible but it had no depth or heart and nothing to set it apart from every other romance that's ever been written. I love Miller's historical romance and more recent contemporary romances but this book didn't resemble those in any way.

This was one of Ms. Miller's early books, published in 1990, and I thought I might not see the quality we've come to expect with her present day releases. I couldn't have been more wrong. This book was delightful and it was placed on the "to be read again" shelf at my house.

I found my second book by this author to be a disappointment. A contemporary romance novel published in 1990, it holds none of the promise of Miller's historical romance, A Lawman's Christmas.
Here the would-be lovers live in the state of Washington. Amanda Scott and Jordan Richards are two dimensional, selfish people who meet in a line to purchase a book. When Amanda strikes up a conversation with Jordan, I had higher expectations.
A fractured and dull story ensues, to my great regret.

This book didn't seem to me to be about romance, but about sex. I skipped so many parts to get to the meat of the book that I wondered why I was reading it in the first place, particularly since there wasn't much meat. I might have enjoyed it more if the kids had had a bigger role, or if there had been more about restoring the house for Amanda's B&B. Something to get one's teeth into at least.

Tapi Amanda tidak mau menjadi "the other woman" , dan dia memutuskan James.

Ketika Amanda mendapati bahwa Jordamasih menyimpan foto istrinya, Amanda kembali merasa menjadi "the other woman" dalam kehidupan Jordan.

Hello??? Amanda ini benar-benar naive dan selfish. Dengan alasan dia tidak mau menjadi penyebab kematian James, dia mau kembali pada James dan menjadi "the other woman" kembali? Plin-plan deh. Pikirannya hanya berpusat pada dirinya saja. Sudah gitu dia masih berharap Jordan mau memahami posisinya.

Saya sempat berpikir, kenapa judulnya Daring Moves?

A person can't expect to win in life if they're afraid to take a risk.

Soal ending-nya, ini Harlequin. Tokoh utama selalu berbahagia selamanya.

Amanda Scott meets Jordan Richards while waiting in line to get a book autographed. Jordan is a widower with two small daughters. Amanda recently found out that the man she had been seriously dating was married. Thus, they both approached the budding relationship between them very cautiously. This is an early book by LLM, so the story drags a little in places.

This book was written twenty-one years ago and was just way out of date. I found both Jordan's and James' attitudes toward Amanda to be sexist and condescending and Amanda was annoying and insecure.

Love is found in some of the strangest places. Simply open up and talk to the next stranger you find yourself with and it may turn to love. A hot romance starts and with stands the trials of life.

This is one of my favorite books by Ms. Miller. I read it years ago, probably way too young for such a book, but I’ve always loved it.
