Sometimes, love doesn’t fight fair. KENDAHL Whoever called it the dating “game” obviously didn’t have the string of disaster dates I’ve just survived. Would it kill the universe to send me a man who doesn’t talk about his ex, or run for cover when the going gets serious? I’d thought Coby was that man — and look where that got me. Fuming over a break-up text. A text. My next best plan is to chill out with friends over a few cocktails on this wedding weekend. But apparently the universe has other plans. Plans that could break my heart and derail my career. Wonderful. COBY Love left me, so I guess I left everything else — home, family...perhaps my self-respect. So what if I’ve slept my way around the Florida coast? Turns out divorced bachelors do have more fun. But Kendahl was definitely the one that got away. Well, the one I pushed away. Because my life has always been split in two — so when the past came calling, I had to give up my future. Our future. Well, not again. This time, I’m ready to fight. Book #2 in the Palm Cove series by Lauren Greene. Featuring a hero with a sinful smile and the heart of a fighter, and the kickass, independent woman he’s determined to win (back), Fight For Her is filled with tenderness, personal growth and a whole lot of sizzle.
Sadly, this one was not it for me. I loved book 1 but this second book dragged a lot and I was just not interested in the characters or story. I will still read book 3 though, I’m curious about Olivia.
SUCH a cute book! i loved getting to see Coby and Kendahl push past their doubts and hesitations, and just give into to each others love. the passion, comedy, and spice was perfect. and it was actually kind of refreshing not having to be temporarily stressed by the classic “3rd act breakup”- we really were just able to enjoy them finding each other again (and a good amount of groveling from Coby 😉) i can’t wait to see who’s next in the series!
and a VERY big thank you to Lauren Greene and Romance Me with Books for my ARC of Fight for Her 😍
This was such a sweet read. I loved it. It was a great mix of Rom-Com feel and spicy romance! The characters were written well and their interactions were just great. -Enemies to Lovers -Second-Chance Romance -Forced Proximity
These two were so sweet and I found myself rooting for them from the beginning. Overall, such a great read and I would definitely love to check out book one in this series but I didn't feel confused from not reading it before.
Thank you Lauren Greene, Romance Me With Books and Autumn Ink Press for a copy of this ARC! This book is available now!!!
I loved getting to read and get to know more about Kendahl and Coby! They were such great side characters in Fight for It - so I was excited to see them as the two main characters in Fight for Her! It was such a fun book with drama, spice, and a happily ever after ending which I love. I can’t wait for what happens next!
I really enjoyed Fight For It, but I think Fight For Her was even better. I'm not sure why, but I really just connected with Coby and Kendahl more than I did with Shawn and Mia. I think one thing that made me enjoy it more was the background we already had on this couple.
I was a little worried miscommunication or no communication was going to be a recurring theme in this book, but I was gladly mistaken. While that does play a big part into why they initially broke up, you can tell that both of them realized communication is key. And I was really happy when Kendahl forgave Coby later in the book for something else but also put her foot that and made her expectations for how she should be treated clear.
This was a really enjoyable book, filled with lots of heavy topics but also with a good bit of 🌶. And while I do think it would be better to read Fight For It first, it's not exactly necessary as I think the author did a good job of giving you all the info you need to know from the first book.
I seriously loved reading about Kendahl and Coby! Throughout the story, they grew not only as characters but as a couple.
It made my heart so happy watching Kendahl grow as an individual. I could relate to her need to do more in her career and going after what she wanted. I mean the lady moved across the country on a whim. Not to mention Coby's growth too, going from the bad boy to a total sweetheart. He's full prepared to drop everything to follow the girl who has captured his heart.
Fight For Her is definitely a minimal spice rom-com. Honestly, a feel good kind of book that has little life lessons sprinkled throughout. I cannot wait for the next installment in the Palm Cove series!
This book, ladies and gents, was so cute and I loved it! I was very fortunate to be able to get an ARC from Lauren and all I have to say is that this ARC did not go to waste! First off, we stan a good reformed bad boy (especially when he can only think about her ;) ). Second off, WE LOVE NO THIRD ACT BREAKUPS!!! The fact that the characters mentioned how they were adults and should hear each other out instead of flying off the handle immediately brought peace to my life. I'm so glad someone said it! I loved how both Coby and Kendahl were able to grow together but also become one. Past traumas be DAMNED! They're in love and I'm here for it!
I was fortunate to get an ARC copy of Fight For Her and I absolutely adored it! I literally could not put this book down, Kendahl and Coby are perfect for each other and they perfectly balance each other out!
I do wish I could see more of Kendahl and Coby’s personal lives and upbringing. I would’ve loved to read more about their childhoods and growing up in the families that they grew up in.
I was very fortunate to receive an ARC of this book and it definitely did NOT disappoint!
This is the second installment of the Palm Cove series and this book follows Kendahl and Coby.
Coby had to leave town unexpectedly to handle some family troubles, but did not really tell anyone why he had to leave. Instead, he vaguely left everyone text messages, including Kendahl, who he was dating at the time. Kendahl falls into the rut of not feeling like herself.
Fast forward a little bit and two of Kendahls and Cobys friends from their Krav Maga gym are getting married (almost in a destination style) and surprise surpise when Coby shows up as well!
Kendahl and Coby are forced into 'dating' each other after a series of unfortunate (or fortunate) events and we really get a glimpse into the fact that their feelings for each other have not changed and have also not stopped. Coby is trying to win Kendahls heart back while Kendahl is busy building wall after wall to present herself from getting hurt again.
This book has a lot of twists and turns and the spice level is DEFINITELY there with Coby and his sinfully dirty mouth! I would definitely recommend and can't wait to see and read more of the Palm Cove family!
Rating: 4/5 Spice: 3/5 Tropes: Small Town, Second Chance Romance, Groveling, Slow-ish Burn (or re-ignition), Forced Proximity, Found Family, Past Abuse/Addiction
I was blessed enough to receive this as an arc but the thoughts and opinions of this review are my own. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Back in Palm Cove, we are following Kendahl and Coby. They had met each other in Fight For It but see a new facet of them from the start of this one. They are broken up, and Kendahl is at odds with Coby, and how he abruptly ended things and went off the radar. Coby is dealing with his family, which he has not told anyone about. Kendahl and Coby get forced back into each others orbit at a wedding that gets overrun by a hurricane and the sparks fly. Their feelings have never stopped for each other, nor did either of them really want things to end in the first place. Hurt ends up trumping all of the other emotions and that puts Kendahl’s walls up and Coby is trying to break them down ruthlessly. He is so sweet swoony and has such a spicy mouth that you just can’t help but to love him. Kendalh has a lot of emotions that she’s going through and it’s not just about Coby. But the way he supports her encourages her and dotes on her is adorable. It was so fun to be back with the same group of friends, I can’t wait to see if we get to visit Palm Cove again.
I was given the opportunity to obtain and ARC and i loved every single part of the story! It’s one you won’t want to miss. It is well written with explicit details.
There wasn’t anything that I didn’t like about this story.
When Coby returns back home and sees Kendahl after so long, I can see how they both wanted each other in many ways you can imagine. It had me reading until I could no longer keep my eyes open. I loved every part of it from them trying to the circumstances they come across and how they devoured each other.
I loved the unity of their small circle. Getting to know the roots of each one including Kendahl and Coby’s made so much sense behind the story.
You want romance, you got romance. You want smutty, you definitely got smutty! Didn’t disappoint. You can sense the lust a mile away.
I received an ARC in exchange of a free, honest review.
It’s a cute second chance romance between Kendahl and Cody, both whom we meet in the first book. Cody disappeared at the end of it and we all were left wondering what happened to him. This book allows us to see what happens and how Ken is feeling about all of this.
I liked the plot and it was clear Cody was head over heels in love with Ken from the get go. But the pacing of the book and multiple plot bunnies weren’t perfect for me and it felt a bit too slow and scattered at points. Nothing major, but I feel this could’ve worked a bit better if one of the plot lines didn’t happen (there’s quite many turns in this book).
Overall though, I think their romance was cute and as we got to know both their histories, their actions made sense. It was fun returning to Palm Cove and the Krav family and seeing another HEA warmed my heart.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Such a good sweet and cute book! This book had me hocked from start to finish. I loved the first book so much but this one doesn’t get left behind. Kendahl and Coby are so perfect together and they compliment each other so nicely! The slow burn was so nicely done and the character growth was so perfect. Seeing their relationship mature and seeing them being able to work together made the story better. Don’t was such a sweet MMC, he was so patient with Kendahl and it warmed my heart. He loves her so much and you can see that love as you continue to read. Honestly this book was the perfect easy and cute read. I absolutely recommend it and I can’t wait to see what else Lauren Greene writes in the future.
This book has everything! Swoon-worthy romance, fire five pepper spice, witty banter, karaoke battles, and a love story that keeps you invested from beginning to end. It isn’t all rainbows and sunshine (in fact, there’s a hurricane 😉), as there’s also delving into difficult family dynamics and facing the past that makes us who we are. All together, each of these elements made for a super fast, emotional, and fun read! That epilogue had me sobbing….in the best way! 💕
I was interested in Kendahl and Coby’s story from where they started in Lauren’s first book, “Fight for It”, so I was thrilled to see us get their side of things in “Fight for Her”. Their dynamic is funny, heartfelt, and again, super spicy! 🔥 I was sad when their story was over.
I can’t wait to see what’s next on this author’s list! Keep it up Lauren, you were clearly made to write magical, enthralling love stories ❤️
Thank you so much Romance Me With Books and Lauren Greene for the eARC of Fight for Her! This book is the standalone sequel to Fight for It and is out now!
I didn’t read Fight for It, the first book in the Palm Cove series, but I didn’t feel like I was too out of the loop. There were some things that I probably would have understood better had I read the first book prior, but this didn’t effect my reading experience.
I thought this was a really cute read. I loved Kendahl and Coby’s story and felt like their romance and conflicts were very realistic and that they handled them well. I liked how the more serious topics were written in the book as well.
Overall definitely recommend reading this book, and I’ll have to read the first book as well now.

A slow-burn romance with a cute couple and a found family of Krav Maga members. Kendahl hasn’t had much luck with love lately and thought her luck had changed when she met Coby, however he lets her down too. What will happen when Coby returns and fronts an all-out assault to win her back. The way Greene wrote about the locale where the Marin Inn was located had me fully swept up. It was like I could hear the birds and the waves, and I absolutely love storms so I was fully immersed in that as well. Also, a shout out for no third act break-up. It’s so refreshing when you read a book and don’t have to go down the rabbit hole of miscommunication.
Thank you to the author and Romance me with books for the arc.
I loved this book, it was seriously so cute!! The level of comedy and spice was perfect! I loved the character growth and seeing how their relationship matured while they were working through some things. I found that Coby was so sweet and patient with Kendahl, which was a wonderful part of the story. He’s just so encouraging and loves on her so much. I’m a HUGE fine of these gushy romances, they make for the perfect easy reads and truly warms my heart so much. I loved reading this story and watching their love grow 😍 I also always love a dual POV, it always keeps me entertained. I found I truly related to the two main characters in a few different ways.
Thank you so much to Lauren Greene and Romance Me with Books for the ARC!
I absolutely loved this book! Fight for Her was such a good book! Filled with so much emotion and spicy! I took me a while to read this book because I wanted to give it my undivided attention!
Fight for Her is Coby and Kendahl’s story. We were first introduced to them in Fight for It. You don’t have to read the first book, but I recommend it.
The way this book caught me swooning for Coby!! “You don’t have to take anymore, baby, because I’m going to give you everything. Whatever you want, whatever your need, I’d bleed for you if that’s what you wanted” ughh swoon again💕
This book was such a good read and can’t keep recommending it!
Thank you Lauren Greene for giving me the privilege of reading this ARC!
I just LOVED Kendahl so much I loved how strong she was and made Coby's ass work for it. When he saw her at the wedding I was like " Oh yes here we go!!!! ) I love when the MFC doesn't give in right away. It keeps me interested in the story when the guy has to work for it. Especially when he's the one who ended it 😑. Coby was hot AF he got on my nerves ( but who doesn't lol ) on some parts, but the chemistry between them 🥵🥵🥵🥵. I didn't want this story to end. I want to say a lot more, but I'm bad with words and I'll spoil the shit out of a good book 😂.This is just a must read and will be out tomorrow!!!!!
Fight For Her is the sequel I never knew I needed.
Kendahl and Coby were hot and heavy in Fight For It until Coby disappeared to the middle of nowhere Wyoming. When he comes back to town he finally sees Kendahl at Jill and Mike's wedding in the Key's. Little did they know a tropical storm would come in and force them together. I loved this story so very much and Lauren Greene's writing is absolutely amazing.
Loves: ~Dual POV ~Rekindled Love ~No Third Act Break up ~Forced Proximity ~Reformed Bad Boy ~Spicy

This was a quick and spicy second chance romance that kept me turning the pages to find out how Coby was going to get himself out of the dog house and back into Ken Dolly’s arms.
The fake dating during their friend’s hurricane destination wedding quickly turned into the real thing and Coby was hooked from that point on.
So why is it 3 stars? I wanted more development with her career goals in LA. The epilogue felt like wrapping up the story too fast when I would have enjoyed a few more chapters. So at the end of the day — I was so invested in them and I wanted to know more. 😍
A nice follow-up to the first book. It was easy to jump right back in with the gym crew - these were characters you could easily get attached to. During destination wedding week for one of the gym couples, Kendahl and Coby were together for the first time since he took off without warning; creating tension and passion throughout the wedding festivities. They had a lot to work through (including an abusive father and a cheating ex), and we got to be there for it all. Hoping there are more sequels to come.
I love a good second chance romance and Kendahl and Coby gave me exactly what I wanted! When we first met Coby in book 1 I wasn't too sure about him but this book I really fell for him. I loved seeing him open up to Ken and actually put the work into making a relationship work with her instead of just doing what he always did. I knew I like Kendahl in book 1 and I liked her even more this book. These two really roped me in and I can't wait to read more about them.
This was a quick read and the authors writing made it very easy to follow along and understand. The characters were both likable and I enjoyed reading how Ken and Coby took a chance on their feelings and allowed themselves to experience love despite any hesitation. The conflicts were realistic and I like how she incorporated and explained their past traumas.

Coby and Kendahl are the cutest couple. I love how it started out with Coby trying to be this big strong man, but as you read the book his layers slowly start to peel away to see the real him. Kendahl is like any girl that has had her heart broken, doing everything she can to keep it protected from another playboy. Will Coby turn out to be another playboy? I don't want to give away to much, but I will say you will get your HEA in the end.
Spicy, sweet, and full of banter! What else could you want? Or there's also NO third act break-up and forced proximity. Gimme. FFH is a perfect palette cleanser for in between your fantasy reads. It's a binge-able story that hits all the things you want from a contemporary romance! I loved Kendahl's sassy personality and how she stayed true to herself the entire story. Loved Coby and his dirty mouth, but loved how he worshiped Kendahl even more 😌 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 🌶🌶🌶/5
DNF @ 30ish percent. I tried to get past him getting a bj from a random girl while he and the FMC were broken up (because he ghosted her), but I just couldn’t do it. Like I get that he broke things off with her and they weren’t together, but I just don’t want my MMC’s to have on page action with other women 🤷🏻♀️ and he of course keeps saying that he constantly thought about the FMC and always wanted only her but uh that doesn’t line up with his actions, lol.
This was a very quick read for me. I really enjoyed Cody and Kendahl’s story. It also had just enough Spice & Steam & Romance. I really enjoyed getting to know both of these characters. I also enjoyed their inner circle of friends as well in the book. This was just a great story and its characters will definitely stay with this reader for quite sometime.
Coby and Kendahl have a history. It’s rocky and filled with some hurt. Coby knows she’s the only one for him. Now he’s ready to get her back.
This book pulled me in from the start. Kendahl and Coby are so Percy for each other. They just need to work through some issues first. No one can deny the insane amount of chemistry they have together.
I'm a new reader for Lauren Green and so glad I gave this book a chance. Kendahl had me in utter laughter and also ready to go to kick some Coby a**! She is so full of sass and I absolutely loved it. Then we have Coby who is just struggling with the idea that he is worthy to love and be loved by someone.
When the first book started I was ready to go to war for Kendahl just like Mia was and go kick some Coby a**. But as time went on my heart ached for Coby and the war raging. I also loved his determination though. I definitely look forward to reading more from Lauren and am hopeful for more books in this series! I'll definitely be going back to read book 1.
