A graduate of Hyde Park Career Academy, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Northwestern University. St. John is a member of Romance Writers of America, but is an avid reader of all genres. St. John lives in sunny Orlando, the City Beautiful.
Another hit from Yahrah St. John. I am starting to think she is one of the most underrated romance authors out there because her books are purely excellent. This book really had it all, and the Punta Cana background just led to the overall allure of the storyline. Jasper and Courtney were on fire. The love scenes were so passionate and authentic they couldn't help but to draw you in. The whole culminate of Andrew's fate was long overdue, and I was happy to see he got exactly what he deserved. This is probably my favorite book of the trilogy because Jasper and Courtney were just so spontaneous and refreshing. Yahrah St. John is quickly becoming one of my favs.
This is the first book I read by Yahrah St. John. This book's storyline was really good & very hot & steamy. I loved how Courtney & Jasper met. I loved how Jasper stood up to his father. Jasper's father was a piece of crap & he got what he deserved. I would definitely read more books by Ms. St. John.
Formula for Passion is a thoughtfully written romance that balances strong chemistry with genuine emotional substance. While the attraction between the main characters Courtney and Jasper is immediate and undeniable, the story quickly moves to explore deeper themes of identity, self-expectation, and emotional risk. Courtney’s struggle with life in the public eye and her desire for something more authentic feels natural and well developed. Jasper serves as an effective counterpoint: grounded and quietly intriguing, with a presence that challenges Courtney in unexpected ways. Their connection builds through sharp dialogue, tension, and moments of vulnerability, making the relationship feel earned rather than rushed. The setting enhances the sense of escape and transformation, reinforcing the characters’ emotional journeys rather than distracting from them. The pacing is smooth, and the intimate scenes are purposeful, adding depth to the relationship instead of overpowering the story. Overall, Formula for Passion delivers a satisfying blend of passion, character growth, and emotional resonance, making it an engaging read for those who enjoy romance with both heat and heart.
This was good! Wickedness, betrayal, hate, drama, revelations, confessions, love, and romance is what you get from this tale of two families. Courtney and Jasper's chemistry was red hot from the start of this story until the very end. I love when two main characters aren't looking for love but find it anyway.
These two could careless what their families said or thought. Courtney wasn't going to let her family (especially her father & sister) and Jasper wasn't about to allow his sperm donor come between them. The sperm donor he loathed! They stood ten toes down for each other.
Jasper showed and proved his worthiness and love for Courtney by going up against Andrew (sperm donor). Even pops Adams had to change his thoughts on how he felt about Jasper in the end.
Courtney has adopted a certain behaviour as the spokesperson for her family's company, and has decided she needs to change and take on more responsibilities in the company. Meeting Jasper is out of her comfort zone. She's never felt this passion before. It unsettles her. Jasper has been through a lot of turmoil and has made his way on his own. He knows what he wants, and he's going to fight for it and make her see what she could be missing.
I didn’t like Courtney at first with her attitude towards Jasper when he stopped to help her after she got a flat in her rental car. Jasper shouldn’t have been angry that after a few weeks together she was forced to leave in hurry without leaving him a message when he didn’t tell he was the son of her family’s biggest enemy and competitor. I enjoyed reading about the places he showed her on the island, that he cared about helping those less fortunate, and wasn’t afraid to get his hands dirty to uncover the truth. His father is more evil than I realized from previous books. This was a steamy fling to more romance.
I enjoyed read this book and it was quite entertaining. I loved the characters, and the story was very well written. The characters had to work for their HEA. I am glad that everything worked out at the end of the story.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was definitely a Hatfield vs McCoy story. Courtney falls for Jasper, not truly knowing who he really is. But love does conquer all in this the conclusion of the Adams siblings trilogy.
Fire and ice explode into an inferno of heart. St. John brings the burn. Jasper and Courtney are no stereotypical love story. From unpredictable emotions to unforgettable romance, the heat is on and it's the senses feel the impact.
Jasper and Courtney was a match made in haven. To bad their families are enemies. This made for a real interesting read with lost of twist, turns. and betrayals. Courtney being the baby of the family and such a free spirit was not one to be tamed. Jasper with his stubbornness towards his past. Made this a lively story with lots of excitement.
I really enjoyed this story and have enjoyed this whole series by Yahrah St. John.
Slightly sappy love story of a no-strings attached island affair that turns out to be so much more. When Courtney is stranded on the road in Punta Cana, the debonair stranger Jasper comes to the aid of the "princess". She's brash; he's not having it and so it begins. Turns out these 2 have more in common than either of them knows. Will the secret between them be the cause of them never getting together or is it too deep to sustain their spark?
Wow! This is the first book I've ready by Yahrah St. John, and I can't wait to read another one. She had me turning page after page. Finally, a romance where the heroine and both likable from the beginning! I was rooting for them all the way!
Absolutely loved the ending book of the Adams/Jackson trilogy. The connection between Courtney and Jasper was explosive. A must read and purchase. You will want to read the first two books first because this sets the stage for Courtney's story.
Ok. I read it pretty quickly but I enjoyed the story. Glad the family realized there was more to Courtney than her looks & she & jasper were good together. Hate that dang Andrew Jackson tho. Seriously dude! Let it go! Nice conclusion to the series.
