They came...They took...Now it's time to destroy them from the inside out. But first I need to get him back...my son... Colt. To do that I send the two people I hold close back into The Order. Colt's vengeful twin, Carven. And the woman I've fallen for...Vivienne. As I watch them disappear inside that Hell, I call for war, forcing every powerful man and woman in the city to choose a side. Mine... Or Halestrom Hale's. Only when those I love return from that place, they bring back a look of horror. What Carven tell me sends me reeling. With our backs against the wall, an unexpected allay rears her head. Vivienne's older sister Helene. She might be more than my way to King. But she might just give me back my family. Together, we destroy all we can.We came for vengeance...and we won't stop. Not until we're together once more.If there's anything worth dying for...it's love.
So this is books 4 - 6 and the second story in the series. This is Viviennes story. Like the other story, it is RH, vanilla and binge worthy. Normally its hard to choose between the males but in this story, it really seems as if Colt is the main love attraction but honestly, I couldn't stand him. He's just really weak, I prefer London as the main love attraction.
This latest instalment has absolutely taken the series up to the next level; if you thought the first trilogy was great, prepare for a level of intensity that is truly mind-blowing. I was thrilled to see the stunning developmental growth in the main characters, revealing complex new facets and personality depths I hadn't expected, leading to some truly magnificent and spicy ends, goodness, thank goodness these dudes are rich for the sheer amount of expensive garments they destroy in the process! While the narrative is brutal, heart breaking, and gut-wrenching at times, I loved every page of it. However, contrary to the nicely packaged-up nature of the first trilogy’s conclusions, this book leaves us hanging on a massive, frustrating cliff-hanger. It’s a cruel, yet brilliant move, because now I desperately need to know what happens next. Obviously there is another series of this tale or if not there will be and I will be getting it.
🌶️🌶️🌶️I was devastated with what my poor Colt did and how he was feeling at the end of Traded. Then something happened to make me cringe and want to jump into the book and beat Hale to a bloody pulp. London and Carven are on a man hunt for Colt. Vivienne, is dealing with everything the best way she can. This book kept me on edge pretty much the entire time I was reading. I had issues with holding myself back from going to the end of the book to find out how it end. My will prevailed and I stayed true and read the book page after page. There is so much drama, killing, savagery, misery, bunches of sex used as a coping mechanism and learning how to come back from the savagery.
