Lotti has come a long way since finding love with Alasdair and uncovering her true origins as a Star Person. She has embraced the magic she once shunned—as well as the label of Destroyer by her own. And it has made her powerful. But will it be enough to stand against her family as they target the Dragon Kings?

Alasdair has faced many adversaries who rose up against the Dragon Kings. But nothing could prepare him for the Star People and the discovery that they once enslaved his kind. I always love it when an author revisits a couple to show us more of their love story, letting us see glimpses into their lives as they grow together and learn more about themselves as individuals and as a couple—and Donna Grant is one of the best authors for that. Alasdair and Lotti came together and earned their hard-won HEA in a previous novel (--) and now that their enemies have continued to multiply we get a glimpse of how they will work together to defeat them. Alasdair saved Lotti by disposing of the Messerine stone in the safest place he could in the heat of the moment, but now they and their allies need to retrieve it so they have a chance of defeating their enemy. Lotti is no longer as terrified of hurting others with her powers, but she worries daily that she isn’t strong enough or learning her powers fast enough to defeat their ultimate enemy. With the help of their friends, Lotti and Alasdair embark on a mission to retrieve the stone, fraught with dangers and with very little chance of success, but both are determined to do everything in their power to protect one another and their friends. But their enemies now they are coming and sometimes the will and determination to defeat darkness aren’t enough when faced with an evil that is nearly indefatigable in their attacks. Only by working together to outsmart and outlast them can Lotti, Alasdair and their allies stand a chance at returning from their mission safely—win or lose. I have to say that I loved this story, even though there was more than once I was afraid Donna was going to do us dirty and actually have evil win for once, but thankfully our heroes found a way to come out in the end. That said I am dying to find out where this storyline is heading in so many of the subplots, because Donna is killing me with everything happening in this world and the world of the Dragon Kings.

Lotti has learned a lot about her origins since she met Alasdair, but simply learning that she is a Star Person isn’t enough, she needs to learn what that means for herself, what her powers are, and what that will mean in the battle for Zora and the dragons. She is determined to do everything she can to help Alasdair, the Kings, and the innocents that have been attacked and corrupted by their enemy. I love her spunk, resolve, compassion, and love, but mostly I love her unwillingness to ever give up protecting those she loves. Alasdair has always been the strongest being around, magically and physically, and knowing that his mate might just be more powerful than him is a lot to take in, but he can’t seem to stop worrying that he will lose her, and knowing that he has to watch her go into battle after battle isn’t helping things. He is just as determined to protect her from her enemies, but the unseen enemy that is targeting Dragon Kings is putting her in more danger, leaving him divided as to how to protect his mate. I hated seeing his hurt on this, but thankfully he finds his balance and they are able to understand how great they are as a team. The passion between Lotti and Alasdair continues to burn brightly and I don’t see it waning anytime soon as there love continues to grow and deepen. I am dying for the next story as we should finally get some closure on Merrick and get to see him break away from the evil that has been holding him away from his family for far too long. The Dragon Kings are one of my favorite groups to read about and the more of them we meet, the deeper we go into their world, the more I wish I had a King of my own to claim me and make me his mate, because what could be hotter than a sexy millennia old Dragon shifter with a Sots accent to die for?

Another action packed adventure filled dragon shifter romance from Donna Grant. She transported me to an exotic world of mysterious creatures, supernatural games and dragon Kings. Alasdair and Lotti have a difficult fight ahead for the survival of the dragon clan and it will test their mate bond too.

I first met Alasdair and Lotti in Dragon Arisen. Alasdair is a dragon king who is making his best in the new world called Zora along with other dragon Kings and there are a lot of enemies who want to eradicate the dragon and claim Zora as their own. Lotti has just come to know that she is Star People and she hasn't learnt much about her great magical powers. But as Alasdair's mate, she won't stay behind as they begin the search for the magical stone that can change the future of Zora.

This story is high on action and twists. Alisdair and Lotti have to face some really strong and manipulative enemies..most important of them is Villeta, the wicked ruler of Stonemore. It was like one of the fantasy movies playing before my mind's eyes. This was fast paced with new challenges in every page. Alisdair trusts Lotti now. And so does other Dragon Kings. Her people has a dark history of torturing dragons but she has been an outcast and completely opposite. She is loving and fierce and kind. She has doubts about using her magical abilities optimally and she feels she is running out of time. She emerged as a true partner for Alisdair here. As a dragon king, his first instinct is to shield and protect his mate but he knew he cannot hold her back. The dangers made him realize just how deep and intense their mate bond is and how scared he is to lose Lotti. They may have survived this fight but the war is far from over. I am excited to see what happens next..

I love the Dragon Kings, a great series, always something new. My favorite is Alasdair, and now Lotti, new to her powers as a Star Person.

If you know how good “Dragon Arisen,” first book in the series was, well, “Dragon’s Kiss” will take it over the top. If you are reading as a stand-alone and love this book, which you will, you might want to follow up with “Dragon Arisen.”

The land of Zora has a problem, there is an invisible entity that has been and is attacking the Dragon Kings, bent on their death and destruction. The solution to saving the Kings lies in a watery hiding place and the only thing that might save them from this foe forever relies on Alasdair, Lotti, Varek, and his mate Jeyra retrieving this magical object. “Dragon’s Kiss” will reveal who the invisible foe is, and then draw you into a crazy ride so strap yourself in.

Donna Grant has always done an amazing job immersing the reader in battles, and she has exceeded herself in this book. It feels like you are there watching everything unfold, the excitement is palpable. A wonderful novel on its own, and even better as the second in the 3-book series. Do take the time to read this story.

I always love to read a novella that gives us updates on our previous characters. Since the Kings have been on Zora, Varek, Jeyra, Lotti and Alasdair have been some of my favs. Well, that's a bit of a lie. I love all of them. The group is tasked with retrieving a stone they hope will give them an advantage in future battles. This is the perfect length for an afternoon read. It also serves as a great story to hold us over until Ms. Grant's next release. Non-stop action from the beginning. A must read for fans of the series. Can't see what comes next. I received an advanced copy and this is my honest opinion.

even though the dragons have people afraid of them by lies they will try their best to help people in need. when they r trying to get their brother back from a bitch that wants 2 kill everyone and everything for no real reason, but they want to rule over the place. will that happened? not if the dragons can help it. they know that they have to get something major back that could possibly help them in the long run. with the help of one of the dragon's mates can they retrieve what they need or die a unplanned deaths? u decide. u will get a surprise when there's not just 1 unforeseen enemy in their way. i was surprised at the end. i sooooo can't wait for more asap!!

A quick read but with the outstanding plot line and characters you don’t feel it. Vibrant descriptions that take you in the heads of Lottie and Allisdair as she continues to expand and learn about her powers and in solidarity the two continue to fight those who would see the Dragon Kings cease. It’s another amazing installment in the Dragon Kings series that Donna Grant keeps alive and thriving. You don’t feel as if the series lags, especially with this page turner!

Alastair and Lotti find themselves involved in a mission with Varek and Jayra. They need to find the. Stone that Alasdair had thrown away to keep from their enemy. They face many dangers while trying for the stone, but in the end, all four of them make it back home alive. They know they have a lot of work ahead of them to beat all the enemies, wanting to destroy the dragon kings and their mates, they need all of their friends and allies to help in the fight.

3 swears and 5 mental gasps later and I can honestly say this novella was a roller-coaster of action that took me by surprise and pulled me in. I was trying to read faster than I actually can just so I could find out what was going to happen next. The tension in some of these scenes, holy moly!

I still love Alasdair, the loyal protector, and actually liked to see him struggle with not falling into overprotectiveness out of fear. I loved that he asked for help from different Kings to figure out how to deal with it, showing how much of a green flag he is.

Definitely a good addition to the Dragon Kings world and I'm curious to see where it goes next!

I fail to see how this could be read as a standalone though? Given this is the premise of 1001 Dark Nights, I think it's important to mention. Had I read this as a standalone, I would've DNF'ed because the world has become so complex with so many players and important past events, it's impossible to follow without any previous knowledge nor to recap without info bombing.

War is coming to Zora...who will be the ones to start it - humans? Dragons? Or another being entirely?

Action-packed novella featuring Alasdair and Lotti, along with Varek and Jeyra, as they attempt to recover the messarine stone that was being used by their enemy (Viollette) to spy on the dragons. Will they be able to retrieve it before Viollette? Will Lotti learn to use her developing powers? Will they be able to avoid their invisible attacker? So many questions. Will any of them be answered in this novella? Read and see!

Excellent book in the Dragon Kings series. It's book 7, but I would consider it book 6.5 as it continues the characters from book 6, Dragon Arisen (which I recommend reading before Dragon Kiss). It's interesting and fast-paced and packed full of action, twisty turns, and some suspense.
Highly recommend!!!

Many thanks to the author and Bookfunnel for an advance copy of this book. My thoughts and opinions are my own and without bias or favor or expectation.

An action filled novella from Donna Grant set in her Dragon Kings world which sees Loti coming to terms with being a Star person and with Alasdair’s help, mastering her resulting abilities all while a war looming.

A lot was packed into this book despite its short length. Full of drama, danger, magic, fabulous characters and not forgetting dragons of course, Dragon Kiss was a good introduction to the series and has done what it’s supposed, making me want to read more, but I feel I would’ve enjoyed it a lot more if I read previous books in the series especially Dragon Arisen which is about Loti and Alasdair’s meeting. As it is I can’t help but feel a little like I’ve skipped the beginning of this book and started my read somewhere in the middle.

DRAGON KISS is the seventh instalment in Donna Grant’s adult, DRAGON KINGS paranormal, fantasy romance series -a spin off from the author’s Dark Kings, which in turn is a spin off from several other fantasy series by the same author. This is Amethyst King Alasdair, and Lotti’s continuing storyline, and it pics up after the events of DRAGON ARISEN. DRAGON KISS should not be read as a stand alone but for back story I recommend reading the series in order as there is an ongoing premise including the search for a missing King, and the history as to how the dragons came to live in Zora.

SOME BACKGROUND: For tens of thousands of years the Dragons have lived and ruled on Earth but a war between the dragons and humans forced the Dragon Kings to send the other dragons through a portal into an unknown world. Fast forward to present day, the portal has been revealed, and the Dragon Kings have been reunited in Zora, with their family and kin, but a new war is on the horizon between the Dragons, the Divine and the people of Stonemore.

Told from third person perspective DRAGON KISS picks up immediately after the events of DRAGON ARISEN where in Alasdair and Lotti, along with Varek and his mate Jeyra continue their two-fold search the massirine stone, and the hunt for Dragon King Merrill but at every turn someone or something intends to take them down. A new enemy, a powerful invisible force, a beast of unknown origins, a ghost from the past, and the means to destroy the Dragon Kings finds our foursome struggling with their journey, and surviving.

The world building continues to focus on another powerful enemy of the Dragon Kings, one who is determined to take control by destroying everyone in their path. Similarly to many of the interconnected series, the DRAGON KINGS are missing one of their own, held captive by someone intent on ruling them all.

DRAGON KISS is a story of power and control, obsession and madness, family and friendships, determination and love. The premise is captivating and covers but a few hours in time; the characters are desperate and powerful.

Dragon Kiss: Every time I start reading one of Donna Grants books I can not put them down this one was Absolutely Amazing! Donna Grant’s amazingly wonderful imagination takes us on adventure within Zora. Lotti and Alasdair are on a mission to find the moonstone before it falls into enemy hands.

Alasdair King of the Amethyst’s sets out with his newfound mate Lotti along with Varek and Jeyra along to help out on their journey. With enemies coming at them from everywhere on Zora the journeys are getting a lot more dangerous.

Lotti has been alone for the majority of her life and has only just started to master her powers as one of the Star People. Can she overcome her fears and use her powers to complete their mission?

This is the seventh book in the the spin off series Dragon Kings and will leave you on the edge of your seat to see what happens next. This book will bring up so many emotions and sets new puzzle pieces moving that will leave you wanting more you will have to read and find out.

All I can say is Donna Grant you are an amazing Author you always nail it. I cannot wait to see what happens next all I can say is I am so glad the Dragon Kings are continuing it’s going to be a wild ride! I am giving this book 5 stars Donna Grant’s books are so easy to read and if you haven’t read her books before this one will certainly leave you wanting more. Buy now you will not be disappointed I am so looking forward to all the future novels in any genre as Donna’s many different stories continue.

Thank you so much Donna Grant for taking our imaginations on this new adventure.

Alasdair and Lotti prepare to retrieve the massirine stone, a magic stone that can benefit their enemy. Varek and his mate Jeyra join the couple in their quest. It is a race to see who will reach it first. What dangers will the four face? Can the Dragon Kings keep a war from breaking out between the humans and dragons? And will Lotti learn the extent of her magical ability?

I like how Lotti is slowly learning about her magic. Mostly, through trial and error. I dislike it when authors make their characters strong within a short amount of time. Lotti does not yet know the limitations of her ability. She is often plagued by self-doubt, which is understandable and believable.

I like how Alasdair encourages Lotti to believe in herself and her magic. Doubt can hamper the strongest of abilities. I admire how Alasdair is learning how to deal with his worry over his mate. He knows that he cannot protect Lotti from everything. That he may well have to rely on her protection against the invisible entity after them or the Star People.

DRAGON KISS is the seventh installment in Donna Grant’s fantasy-paranormal romance series, DRAGON KINGS. This story is basically a continuation of book six, DRAGON ARISEN. I am curious why this piece was not included in the prior novel. Why make it a stand-alone novella? Did the author really want this part of Lotti and Alasdair’s tale told, and DRAGON ARISEN already reached a certain world count? Just things that went through my head while I was reading.

James' rating: 5 out of 5 rich and vibrant stars! ✨

I really loved this one! It had an intriguing premise when I first saw the plot and Donna delivered perfectly.

At first, it was a bit disconcerting since I was completely new to this world and I had to get in touch with a lot of terms and folks but everything was pieced together as the story progressed. My curiosity about how Alasdair and Lottie actually met was piqued. I could feel the easy friendship and camaraderie between both of them.

The newness of loving someone and coming to terms with that feeling made me smile. Alasdair was a brave, caring and daring soul who had faced a lot of pain in his life and his actions reflected that. Lottie had a fire inside her (which feels cliche describing it as such but hey it's true! 😌) with an earnest and deep spirit. I just wanted to give both of them a hug.
They had excellent chemistry and we also got a spicy scene. 😉🔥

The worldbuilding was done well. Divided information about the world so as not overwhelm the reader which I appreciated. It's a gripping world which makes you want for more. I am also looking forward to the stories of our side characters and their journey. Especially Varek and Jeyra. I loved them!

If you haven't read this series yet, I would totally recommend it. As always, every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series.

Thank you Donna Grant and 1001 Dark Nights Blue Box Press for an intriguing ARC!

Happy Reading!

More surprises on Zora

In this installment of Donna Grant’s Dragon Kings, we are back with Alasdair & Lottie on Zora. Lottie is still dealing with the revelation that she is one of the Star People and learning how to use her powers. Alasdair and the other Kings are not happy that Merrill is still in Stonemore with Villette. So, Alasdair & Lottie set off with Varek & Jeyra to retrieve the massirine stone, so it does not fall back into the hands of their enemies.

Villette wants to rule over everything in the universe, so she has her armies spread around the human lands on Zora to try to catch any of the Kings. On their journey to the lake that Alasdair & Lottie believe his magic sent the stone to, the group encounter Villette’s soldiers. They decide to use this to their advantage and split up, the Kings creating a distraction while Lottie & Jeyra, who is one of the few being who can touch the stone, try to find it. Unfortunately, things go a little sideways and the Kings and their mates must find a way to get away from Villette and keep the stone from falling back into her hands.

This was yet another important chapter in learning about the Star People and what part they play in what is happening on Zora. The Kings and their allies still must figure out how to track & fight the invisible foe that is able to injure Dragon Kings. And Ms. Grant did it again, she gave us a little surprise at the end! I am eager to see what our favorite characters will learn from this surprise…

Action packed

Donna Grant has delivered another action packed, suspenseful addition to her Dragon Kings series with DRAGON KISS. This is the continuation of Alasdair and Lotti's story, who were introduced in Dragon Arisen.

Alasdair and Lottie, along with Varek and Jeyra, have set out to recover the massirine stone that Alasdair hurtled into one of the lakes near Stonemore. Their journey was continually fraught with danger that they found themselves running and hiding from. Villette, her soldiers and the invisible entity are after them, and it's not long before there are skirmishes and battles. Lives are in danger. Will the foursome achieve what they set out to do, or will their enemies win this battle?

I enjoyed watching Lotti come into her own. Even though she feared using her new-found magic, Alasdair encouraged her and gave her the confidence to have faith in her abilities. I loved how Lotti and Jeyra worked together to achieve their goal, Lotti's powers were amazing.

Donna's words held me completely spellbound; I need to keep the pages turning. One thing for sure is, the war on Zora has certainly arrived. How the dragons respond only time will tell.

DRAGON KISS was frenetic from beginning to end, action, drama, and passion, all there for the taking. Another wonderful read.

“She dint carry a weapon because she was a weapon”

ARC REVIEW

In this novel we meet Alasdair and Lotti after the long journey to the past to be together, it is time to face the most fearsome enemy of the Dragon Kings. Along the way they encounter situations and discoveries.

Quick read, easy to read and amazing characters. It's a stand-alone novel, you don't have to read the main books, but when you read this one you'll want more and more.

I love Lotti's personality in how she is learning to trust her magic and herself. Not to mention Alastair, I think I already have another love interest for the list.

Thanks to 1001 dark nights and blue box press for sending me an arc.

Omg I love the dragon kings and their story. Their story drags you in as soon as you open the book, it has romance, adventure, action and secrets you want to find out. When I read that we were getting a continuation to Lotti and Alasdair I was so excited. You'll need to read the previous books to understand this world as it's so complexity in its own history

In this book they go claim the stone they stole from their enemy but get confronted by the troops and one dragon gets trapped by the new equipment that harms their ability to get out. We see more of Alasdair's brother who are supposed to be dead attack them and they battle it out. Lotti is discovering her magical abilities as she tries them out. We see more action in freeing their friend and the invisible enemy that has been attacking them and that Lotti can see the outline.

I like that Alasdair encourages Lotti with her magic and he cherishes her.

Oh my we find out the origin of Erith yay.
I can't wait to read the next book.
I'm going to be editing names after. I can remember the spelling of names. I'm also going to listen to the audiobook when it comes available.

Received the Arc for an honest review.

I just love the world that Donna Grant greated and I hope we see that the dragons and their allies help Zora.

Series: Dragon Kings #7
Rating: 3 stars - I liked it

First, this book should not be read as a standalone. The premise of 1001 Dark Nights is that they can be read as a standalone, but I don’t think this story can be because the world and what is happening in the story is too complex at this point. This novella is basically the continuation of Alistair and Lotti’s story (Dragon Arisen) and you need to have read that book, and ideally this whole series to actually understand what is happening in this novella because it is very complex.

Like I said, this is a continuation of Alistair and Lotti’s story. They are going after the massirine stone that Alistair was able to get away from Villette in the previous book. Basically this ends up being another battle against Villette to retrieve the stone and against the invisible foe, but now with Lotti being able to use more of her Star People power.

The battle was interesting and it was cool seeing Lotti getting the hang of her abilities. It will be interesting to see how the battle against Villette goes after this ending and it seems that the dragons are done waiting around anymore.

Alasdair and Lotti, is absolutely, one of my favorite couples, but the journey to their HEA was not easy. This is a short read that picks up where Dragon Arisen ended; it is action packed and full of mystery and intrigue. Along with Alasdair and Lotti, Varek and Jeyra joined the couple on their search for the mystical stone. Lotti is just coming into her magic and testing the limits of her powers. Although Lotti lacks confidence, Alasdair is always there to support his mate. I love it when DG brings in old friends to the current story lines, but this group’s quest will be tested. The enemies are coming at them, from left to right and the evil they face is not only powerful, but invisible, which brings about many challenge. This is a page turner from beginning to end and have you waiting, impatiently for the next installment. I highly recommend this book, but I strongly suggest starting at the beginning of this series. The Dragon Kings is a spin off from the Dark Kings Series, which is actually a part of an even bigger world. You can check out the entire series on Donna Grant’s website (Mother of Dragons). You will not be disappointed.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "DRAGON KISS" WOW!!! This is one riviting intense rollercoaster ride full of emotional turmoil, danger, action, mystery, angst, invisible foe, evil, obsession, power, magic, secrets, twists & surprises that make for a very addicting page turner.
Alasdair, Lotti, Varek & Jeyra journey to the Lake to retrieve the massirine stone that Vilette was using to try to destroy the Dragons she's one of the Star People who use to enslave Dragons & she'll anything to get the Stone back they took.
Lotti use to be one of the Star People now outcast she's good, kind, fierce, loving, & is now mated to Alasdair she fears using her magic abilities worried what will happen if she does, he try to assured her she's strong & won't use it to hurt the Dragons.
I definitely recommend to this on the edge of your seat journey Alasdair, Lotti, Varek & Jeyra take you on to retrieve the Stone, so much happens the War is far from over, I'm so looking forward to the next book to see what happens.

This novella involves Alasdair and Lotti whom we met previously in Dragon Arisen, and takes you on an action-packed ride. They embark on their mission to retrieve a magical stone to protect the dragons on the realm Zora. A couple we met previously (Varek and Jeyra) join them on this quest.
There is much danger as Lotti learns about her magic and how to use it to protect those she cares about. After being alone her entire life, she is learning about relationships and how to cultivate them.
While most of Grant’s novels and novellas can be read as standalone, this one was more of a bridge between novels, filling in and expanding upon the building storyline. There is SO much action and adventure in this story and so much interweaving of multiple DG universes. As always, it leaves me wanting more, ASAP!
I look forward to the continuation of the beloved Dragon Kings storyline, and look forward to learning more about the new characters and species that we learned about in this and the prior installment.

Dragon Kiss is a novella in the Dragon King series, this is book number seven in the series. Although, this novella was half the length of normal length novel, it was jammed packed with action and Ms. Grant does a wonderful job of bringing the story to life. I am entertained by the world building that she has created of Zora. I have no doubt we have barely seen a fraction of Zora and I can't wait to see more of Zora's world and it's inhabitants.

This book is marketed as a novella that can be read as a stand-alone story. I can agree this is true in some ways. I think it is best to read the previous stories to get a better picture of the story, the characters, and the storyline.

The focus of this story is on four characters - Dragon King, Alasdair and his love interest Lotti who discovered she is of the Star People which we found out in the previous story (Dragon Arisen), and Varek and his red-headed mate Jeyra. Together the four of them must find where the Alasdair has thrown the stone, one that can not fall back into the hands of evil.

If you like romance mixed with fast paced action then I think this is the book for you.

Tense, suspenseful, action-packed! Donna Grant keeps coming up with new creatures and new challenges that the dragon kings (and their mates) must overcome. Dragon Kiss has Alasdair and Lotti together with Varek and Jeyra seeking to retrieve the messarine stone and take it to Iron Hall for safety. Of course, Villette (along with the invisible foe as well as a new creature) is doing everything she can to thwart their efforts while seeking to capture more dragon kings. This is definitely not a standalone novella; the backstory from previous books in this series is essential to better understanding what is going on. As always, Donna Grant ends with an unexpected development that hints at things to come. Looking forward to reading the next novel in this series, Dragon Born, which promises to feature Melisse and her future mate, someone who is well-known in the world of the Dragon Kings.

Dragon Kiss is novella from the Dragon Kings series and is a continuation of the Amethyst King Alasdair and Lotti’s (who found out that she was a member of the Star People with powers that could destroy the universe). While you could try and read the novella as a standalone book you’ll be confused as the book picks up after the events of Dragon Arisen.

Dragon Kiss picks up immediately after the events of Dragon Arisen with Alasdair and Lotti and Varek and his mate Jeyra continuing their search for a stone that they hid from Villette to prevent her being able to spy on the Kings while also searching for Dragon King Merrill (who’s also being held by Vilette).

Lottie learns to trust in herself and gains confidence in her abilities and gains new powers and meets another one of her “family members” who is an old friend of the Dragon Kings. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Dear God what a roller coaster was that! I don't think that we have ever seen the same couple in two books(except for the specials of course! This one is about Lotti and Alistair again! They are on a mission with Jeyra and Varek to retrieve the stone! This book was packed ( and when I say packed I mean PACKED) with fight scenes and the story is progressing smoothly! We get some answers and the end... I wouldn't mind 10-15 more pages about their meeting and what they have in mind!
I really can't wait for Merrill's story! But it will not come any time soon.... (damn it.... 😜 😜)
Anyway.. This book is NOT a standalone! You need to have read Dragon Arisen, at least if not the previous ones for Zora minimum, to be able to follow this book but otherwise the book is soooo good!
Highly recommended!!!

Donna Grant delivers another thrilling addition to this exciting series.

I’m giving Dragon Kiss five stars for the epic magical battles alone. There are battles between dragons and between magic users and all of them had me on the edge of my seat. You know our heroes will prevail or at least live to fight another day, but there’s always that little bit of doubt. The tension is kept high pretty much all the time, but there are also softer and more intimate moments between Alisdair and Lotti amongst the uncertainty and chaos.

This series should definitely be read in order, each book adds to the one before. I can recommend this entire series if you like dragon shifters, magic, and steamy romance.

Thank you to the author for providing me with a copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This novella is about 2 of our Dragon Kings, Alastair and Varek, and their loves, Lottie and Jeyra, going on a mission to retrieve a special stone that they want to keep out of the hands of the villain Villetta. This stone would allow Villetta to watch the dragons, and since her goal is to kill all the dragons, they want to keep it away from her.

They know the stone was thrown into a lake and only Jeyra can touch the stone. They also know Villetta is out looking for them and the stone. They know they are risking their lives.

Will the group make it to the Lake and retrieve the stone? What dangers does Villetta have waiting for them?

As usual, Ms. Grant weaves her words and throws a couple of twists in there! The twists bring new facts to the story and can change the outcome.

I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Donna Grant’s latest novella, Dragon Kiss, takes the faithful reader back to Lottie and Alasdair. Some time has passed since Lottie discovered that she was a Star Person and she is now learning to manage both her magic and her role at Destroyer.

I must admit, I think I read through this novella too fast. I found myself scanning/reading and looking for something ‘more’ to happen. BUT I fully own that the fault is mine. In my desire to devour this next chapter and find out ‘what happens next’, I forgot that this is a novella, not a full novel so not everything would be revealed or fleshed out. Despite my quick reading – this book had me hooked. The action and fight scenes were nail-biting.

I’m going to go back and re-read this novella. I’m going to slow down and savor it. Why don’t you join me and give it a good read too? Better yet, start the series… you’re gonna love it.

Dragon Kiss was a high-energy, action-packed installment in the Dragon Kings saga, successfully expanding the universe focusing on the complex and dangerous dynamics of the Star People. The story continues developing Alasdair and Lotti relationship, delivering a compelling mix of explosive battles and an enduring romance.

The strongest element here is the escalating conflict. Lotti was still learning about magic and her lineage and that added a rich, emotional layer to the intense action sequences.

The continuous, rapid-fire pace is exhilarating, though it occasionally make the extensive world-building feel a little dense. While the plot moves quickly and leaves you breathless, a few key emotional moments and secondary character arcs could have benefited from a slightly slower pace to allow for deeper reflection.
