If that was "lazy" gardening, I don't even want to know what "diligent" gardening is.

Unfortunately, "lazy" seems to be a more flexible term than I was anticipating. That said, this is a great book for gardeners, consolidating all kinds of information into one very slender tome.

This is more honestly "tips for gardeners who want to be more organized" - and yes, being organized when gardening does lead to less work down the line, but the truth of the matter is that gardening is hard work, and you have to enjoy it to make it worth while. There were some okay tips mixed in here, but because the book is literally just a collection of tips, the information isn't necessarily laid out in a way that makes it easy to find later. This was okay for a one-off read, but it's in the giveaway box now.

Great little reference book! I read it in a couple of hours. It was loaded with tons of tips and a wide variety of topics related to gardening. I've been gardening for 15 years, and it still taught me so much that I didn't know. Learning is Fun!

Practical advice, but I feel like the organization could be improved upon. I felt like I was in a old wheelbarrow bouncing between subjects as I would bounce down a country lane. I would read about one idea and the read about it more pages later, after we had bounced through a variety of other subjects. Luckily, the book is indexed so when I want to know everything about peppers, or her ideas about how to form a garden, I can look it up and find everything. Also, I don't feel like this book is really for the "lazy" gardener" but just the gardener. A lot of ideas I dismissed as being too much time for me (building an indoor plant shelf? a truly lazy person would just make do with what one has.).

There may not be any color pictures but the simple drawings add to the concise advice the book offers. A great book for the beginner gardener. Another book I'd own since its little handy tips set it apart from others.

This is one of the best gardening books I have ever read. This has some amazing gardening tips and was truly helpful while tending a community vegetable garden this summer. Gardeners are not lazy but many of the authors ideas saved a lot of time and work my garden.

You'd like the cover if you could see it here... Otherwise the book is disappointing.
