After finalizing her divorce from her college sweetheart Krystal, Samantha is alone for the first time in her life. Her place in Bayswater is everything she’s ever wanted, except for the fact that her dreams of starting a family left when Krystal moved to the city without her. Sam watches as her best friend Jake finds love, and her business partner Cat reconnects with their estranged husband. So, with only her businesses and her horse, Sam has resigned to a life alone.
A newcomer to the small town of Bayswater sends Samantha's idyllic life into turmoil....
Then Órla, a famous photographer, arrives in Bayswater on her own journey for a new life. Samantha falls hard for the enigmatic newcomer, but when small-town rumours push Sam to find out what really drove Órla from her plush city life, will she be confronted with having to let go of love all over again, or can Órla and Samantha make it work despite all odds?

Recently divorced Samantha/Sam is at a crossroads in life. Despondent and longing for a family of her own, she plods along taking care of her clothing and cupcake business - the ranch and horses bring some joy. Along comes Orla (with her own hidden hurts) visiting the area for a month and immediately a spark is kindled. The author's heated storyline covers the affair that surges from that attraction between the two women. Will Orla stay permanently in Sam's beloved town of Bayswater? Can they learn to trust in each other? Thank goodness for Jake and Gran. Aster's descriptions of Bayswater made me wish it really existed. A short, hot romance with a smidgeon of angst and a HEA.
I rec'd a copy through Booksprout. This review is completely unbiased and voluntary.
Thought I’d review this series as a whole as they’re all quite short books. This series is based around a group of friends in a small beach town making lives for themselves and falling in love along the way. There are actually some hard hitting topics in these which I weren’t expecting going in such as grief but I really enjoyed the characters navigating their lives and enjoyed how these topics were covered. My favourite couple was definitely Maren & Jake. Old friends to lovers/second chance will always be a hit to me. These are very fast paced and the characters are in love before you even blink but I didn’t hate it in this series.
