The right title - finally. Found by Rainbowheart. All about a bird who nests in the playing field and causes the fences to be moved in. Many home runs for the Phillies follow and they win for a change. Date is a guess.

An interesting quick read printed in 1957 that explains a fictional phenomenon that gripped the Philadelphia area when a bird (Phyllis) makes a nest and lays her eggs on the Phillies outfield.
