Very nice stories. Some are amazing stories, especially in the "Miracles" chapter.

I'm a new mother of a 4 months old daughter. Like many babies, it took a lot of energy to take care of my baby. There are many times when I felt very tired and thus not in the mood to play with my baby. When I read this book (and currently still reading it) the stories really touched me. It made me want to make my own special stories with my baby. The most important thing that I learned from this book is "to enjoy every minute together with my baby", because she won't be a baby for long. Soon she'll learn to walk, talk, and in the blink of an eye she'll have her own friends and activities and probably not interested in me anymore. So now while I can and while she still loooovvees my hugs and kisses, I'll shower her with the best hugs and kisses that I have. Because I'm a mother and I love my baby with all my heart and soul!

Being agnostic, I enjoy these chicken soup books to a limited extent, a lot of the spiritual language frustrates me and gets in between me and the story, which I never enjoy. All in all, however, this book is thoroughly enjoyable and a very good read.

My kids got this for me for Christmas (after seeing it on the movie Christmas with the Kranks) haha. I loved reading one or two stories right before bed. Some pretty spectacular stories and heart warming. (The “letting go” section was my least favorite. It just made me feel sad.) Overall, very inspiring to enjoy the current stage of motherhood wherever you are at and be a good mom.

I needed a quick read for Kindle's nonfiction challenge (JUST FYI THIS DIDN'T COUNT AFTER ALL)... so I got this book because I'M a mother I thought it would be stories from mothers about being mothers.. but it's more about people writing about THEIR mothers and I don't have a mother so this was a tiny bit triggering to read and it certainly didn't rekindle the spirit of ME as a mother. And yeah it didn't meet my challenge and I paid $10 for this so I'm mad LOL

This book has been hanging around my bedstead. I picked up one night and the stories are pretty good. Some are a little sappy but most are well written. I kept reading a few a night because they relaxed me as all the stories, though some tales of hard times, were positive. There are a few stories I marked because they had an interesting view on life.

✨️ Only a voice crying, "Why don't you grow up?" and the silence echoing, "I did."

✨️ The more you try to take
it back, to try to keep control of the baby, of the tests, the worse your inability to change anything is going to tear at you."

✨️ You say at least once a day, "I'm not cut out for this job," but you know you wouldn't trade it for any- thing

✨️ Failure is delay but not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead-end street.

Inside the 300+ pages are heart-warming stories about the precious relationship between a mother and child. So many wonderful motherly shared memories will encourage you to keep-a-going if you are a new mother. Being a mother and grandmother, as you read through the powerful stories I think you will find great inspiration for mentoring a mother who is overwhelmed and struggling with her new responsibilities. One of my favorite comic illustrations from the book reads: "Remember! Hugs and kisses come before 'What did you bring us, Grandma?" I especially love Reba's story about her mother and grandmother's encouragement. I think you will, too. I like this one. Good for gift-giving.

As a mother to a young daughter, and as a daughter who has lost her mother at a young age (27) I feel like this book resonates with me so well. So many uplifting and inspiring stories that just warm tour heart and make you laugh, make you cry, reflect, and be glad of the times you have shared with your child as well as your mother, or figures in your life that are of a motherly type influence. The Chicken Soup series have helped me in so many ways - teenage years and angst, couples, animals.. there literally is a book for everything. :)

This book made me cry. So much. I'm not sure if I liked the emotional nature of it or if it was too over the top. Either way, I do indeed believe the mother soul in me appreciated the book and is grateful for having read it. Being that it was originally published in 1997, the age of these stories of motherhood is greatly felt. These mamas were raising their babies in very different times. It was refreshing to step back in time and feel the simple, fierce rhythm of motherhood these authors explore.

Believe it or not, I gave this book to my mother for Mother's Day one year when it was paired with Canfield's original volume which started this series, viz; none other than his "CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE SOUL."

Are people continuing to read this swill now in the 2020's or have all of us collective become more or less jaded to read anything outside current TikTok trends off of a Twitter or Youtube newsfeed?

4 stars. This book was a gift from one of my sons for Mother's Day a few years ago and I finally got around to reading it. Heartfelt stories about Mom's and motherhood were easy to read, all heartfelt and enjoyable. Recommended for any Moms or Grandmas.

Part of the Chicken Soup series, this one features uplifting stories mainly how mothers have helped their children. Other stories are written by the mothers, how they have learned from their children.

Wonderful stories to read when you have a few minutes. Perfect book to have in bathroom, or by
your favorite chair. I love reading them both places. This book will make you laugh, cry and smile.
Even if your not a mother you will enjoy the stories.

I read this in hopes of recharging my depleted mom of three energy. I was expecting to connect a lot more, but I found the religious aspect to be slightly deterring.
