Published in 2005, this was a kick of nostalgia and Christmas cheer. Honestly, would have given it five stars, but the contributors committed the cardinal sin of not citing sources. I realize that this wasn’t meant to be a tome focused on research and accuracy, but some of the entries struck me as apocryphal without any admittance of it. But, I really enjoyed this book for what it was.
What a way to get ready for the holiday season? I know it is early to even think Christmas, but I can't think of a better way of doing it than with Uncle John's Bathroom Reader. Just makes you wish for the days of Christmas past.
Another good entry in the Uncle John Bathroom Reader series - this time focusing on Christmas trivia, tidbits and history. A fairly small collection, but plenty of interesting facts. The best sections were the ones on the origins of Christmas traditions, unfortunately there weren't enough of those in this book otherwise I would have rated it higher.
Well worth the read. Has a lot of trivia that is interesting. The copy I have is from 2005, so they probably have a more updated version, but still good.
