An old flame of Teppei, Suguri's boss, stops by the pet shop with notions of rekindling their lost love. But this might just be an excuse to get away from the fiancé she's a little unsure of, and soon Suguri and the old flame are getting jealous over Teppei!
I really enjoyed reading "Inubaka: Crazy for Dogs" as it brought me a new appreciation and love towards dogs. The storyline is quite unique and I loved the humour throughout the series, which never gets old the more you read the books over and over again.
Kind of all over the place. We get an arc about dog training (it's hard to be a good parent), but then there's sub plots about a self cutter, and a reveal that Suguri wears a dog collar because she was kidnapped as a child (and rescued by Lupin's grandfather).
Several owners of new puppies are having difficulties with their training. This creates a good story and an opportunity for pet owners to learn some techniques.
This is the sort of series I only bother continuing if I have all or most of the volumes at hand (aka, borrowed from a friend or the library). Go figure, I'm borrowing a whole bunch of random manga from a friend, and the first four volumes of this cute series was included in the bunch. Despite my overall "meh" impression, I'm kinda irked that volume 4 left off on such a dramatic cliffhanger!! Buuuuuuut, again, unless I come across a library or friend who has more volumes, I see no point in continuing. However, I have dog-lover friends who would appreciate this manga, so I'll recommend it to them at least. As for me, it wasn't enough to keep me going. I love dogs, but I'm not "crazy for dogs" like these characters...
So Teppei's old girlfriend came back which was weird since if she has a steady boyfriend that's kind of cheating if they are trying to get married. Then that one girl's dog Melon was not paying attention to her so she learned how to train him through some mishaps. Finally, that guy who lives in Woofles's sister came. Is she a cutter? There's an awful lot of fanservice. The books are good even though I'd imagine it'd be hard to have a series based off of caring for dogs. It does give a lot of practical information, though. I liked the scene when Suguri was trying to get Teppei to pay attention to her so she roleplayed a maid.

In this installment of Saguri's city life working at the pet store Woofles, everything seems to be going fine, until all the dogs she recently sold start acting up. They start a dog training class on the rooftop of the store's building, in the hope of keeping the dogs safe, since some of the dogs' habits are potentially life threatening (biting on an electrial cord anyone)? The ending is left in a cliffhanger, in which Lupin is in danger, so I need to read the next one. Illustrations are adorable as always.
I am still crazy for dogs, and it appears the author is too! I am still loving the story and all the cute dogs inside! I especially love at the end of the novel (read right to left for those who didn't know!) pictures that people have sent in of their dogs with little stories. Can't wait for the next one since this one was left on a cliffhanger!
