A New Chapter In The Chronicles Of The Oldest Living Vampire!
When Gon, the Oldest Living Vampire, was a mortal man, he had two wives: the Neanderthal Eyya and the tempestuous Nyala. Nyala is a crotchety old grandmother now, and her husband Gon is worshipped as a god by their people. Nyala knows her husband is no god, but when their village is raided by the Foul Ones, a neighboring tribe of brutal cannibals, two of Nyala's granddaughters are taken captive, and Nyala seeks out Gon in the hopes that he can find and rescue their children.

But Gon is not the man she used to love. He might have the powers of a god, but he also has the bloodthirst of a ravening demon. Can he save his mortal grandchildren, or will he surrender to his terrible desires?

Prehistoric fantasy and horror as enthralling as it is original, there is no other vampire series for adults quite like the Oldest Living Vampire Saga!

Praise for bestselling indie author Rod Redux!
“’TIL DEATH is one hell of a cool zombie story that delivers the gruesome goods, but it rises above mere splatter to break our hearts as well.”-- Jeff Strand, author of DWELLER

"Every once in a while, a book or film comes along that changes your mindset about a genre in such a way that it can never be switched back to its original setting. This is what happened to me with Mort. With Mort, Mr. Redux takes a done-to-death (ha ha) sub-genre (zombies) and instead of cheapening or exploiting it, actually manages to enhance it. It’s not just that he added some twists to the mix (he did), but he was able to combine those twists with characters and a plot that were deep enough to not only keep you interested, but to make you feel involved. I’m not saying that Mort is Shakespeare or that it’s going to change the world but that doesn’t mean it’s not still one heck of a great zombie book."--UWanted2C

"House of Dead Trees is a dark and violent book but never to the point of gratuitous violence for the sake of another splatter. It is far too clever a tale for such a cheap trick."-- Bricks of the Dead

Joseph Duncan

Born in Southern Illinois, Joseph was raised in a very liberal home environment and was exposed at an early age to the classic underground comic book scene of the sixties and seventies, as well as European graphic novels by artists like Moebius, Enki Bilal and Milo Manara. At age 9, he was reading Tolkien and Stephen King. He wrote his first novella at age 10. If you want to read the same old formulaic pop lit, don't bother with Joseph's fiction. The novels of Joseph Duncan are challenging, subversive and fantastical, merging genres and pushing the boundaries of propriety and good taste. If you have an aversion to dark subject matter, gratuitous sex and extreme violence, stay far away from Joseph's books. Far. Far. Away!

Lovely addendum to Gon's origin story. We now know not only how Gon dealt with his own transformation but also how Nyal went about it. Its been many moons since Nyals husband passed into godhood and like in the previous book she is the hot headed skeptic. She is the last of their marriage group to be alive (and human) and grandmother to a slew of grandkids but she is still herself and when danger comes to her door she manages to take her plea of help to Gon. This book does a wonderful job of describing the deep nostalgia Gon and Nyal feel not only for each other but for the human youth they once led and now are hopelessly away from, one because of age, the other one because of the strix. Nyal is a fair portrayal of how a woman like young Nyala would age and of how preagricultural societies dealt with childrearing, old age and religion. While part of the OLV saga it is a fully human story.

Wow! Amazing read!

An amazing read. I really enjoyed this book of a strong and courageous woman in her elder, wiser years. Yes, she gets to see Gon twice and the ending is bitter sweet. Great book!

Joseph Duncan is one of the BEST authors out there! If you like Vampires, History, Zombies and the unexpected you'll love ALL of his books! The Oldest Living Vampire books are amazing, how he intertwines real history and the present into the life of a vampire is truly fantastic! The leaps between the caveman era to the present and the true meaning of eternal life is such a great story that once I started his book I was up all night reading them. He is truly one of my FAVORITE AND BEST AUTHORS OUT THERE NOW!

Again, a great read. what if you're beloved husband (well one of your beloved husbands from your neanderthal family) had become something almost godlilke that just never aged but acted as a protector over his ancesters and one day you had to call on him (looking like an old hag) to save his grandchildren)? This is a novella and well worth the read if you are into this series. I love it.

Great book

I loved nyal in the story. she was old but free spirited, and very gutsy she did not let pain get in the way of anything that she set out to do. the ending was beautiful I'm a tear shredder and I shed a happy tear.

Story was very short. Used as filler to explain the death of Gon’s family. Story was good. It wanted more
