Rate this book
Herbert was accused of abducting Lucy at age 11 on her way to the school and keeping her in a dog cage for 20 years. Constant abuse produced many children. Children were picked up by their legs and their heads smashed on a rock at birth. Two of the children survived but were abused until their rescue by Police. This is the story of the trial of this Monster. Names and other details have been changed. The shocking testimony of the victim will bring tears to your eyes. Nothing was as it seemed. But everything ended exactly as it seemed. The Movie 'Lucy's Law' starring Lauren Cullum is based on this book.

Ridiculous

I would not recommend this to anyone. I don't know who proofread this but they failed miserably unless the author wished to appear ignorant. Do not waste your time!

It sucked

Do not waste your money, the book reads like a screen play. I'ts hard to understand and I wish there were more detail in the book. Save your money.

not so good.

This has to b one of the worst books I have read in several years. This could have been a really awesome read if it were written differently.

Shameful system

Shameful system

If accounts in this book are accurate,it shows a corruption of stolen youth. A system of un-equiped, and ill advised child agencies, and agents. A justice system fraught with questionable practices. And a young woman's distortion of accounts, or truths that only she will ever truly understand.

Not sure!

This book was oddly written . Maybe I just didn't know how to read it I don't know. It ended odd, did Lucy and her children not get justice or any compassion ? If was a good read but I just wasn't sure what was real /fantasy. I hope the people and the courts/dcfs personal found some compassion for that traumatized little child and her traumatized children.

This is book is a joke. A bad joke trying to be taken serious.
The premise of the book is the trial of a case very similar to the Jaycee Dugard. But then what follows is bad plot, bad writting, bad editing, bad everything, plot holes, typos...what the heck was this?
It really made me want to go back in time and spare the money that I spend on this.

Sounds like....

As I read this. Part of it reminded me of the Jacy Dugard kidnapping and the other details reminded me of Criminal Minds. I’m sure had I not knew of those two stories this would have been a 5 star story.

What?

I am nor sure I liked this book- I'm very confused. It paints a very disturbing portrait of justice. Not sure what to think.

Drivel pure and simple

I read this out of utter boredom. I am not sure how many axes the writer (hardly a true author) wanted to grind, but he certainly brought as many as his feeble mind could summon. Do yourself a favor - take a nap. It will be time better spent.

Interesting!

It was an interesting read. I'm really into stories that involve court cases so for that, this story ranks high for me. What I disliked was how the ending seemed rather rushed.

So-so

I read it all, but I can never get that time back. Read at your own risk. I had to force this one.

Weird

It was a crazy read and the way it ended was beyond different than I expected. I'd recommend the book

Not worth the time

I was sadly disappointed by this book, not only for its writing but was not about the crime as abuse by a crooked system

Did not ring true

Nothing about this story seemed true. It was said to be a true story but seemed more like a screenplay. I did not like it would not recommend it for anyone.

This was shit.

This was all lies glorifying a terrible person, and it's comes off as if it was written by a child.

It was ok

There are quite a few typos and misuse of proper English where it should be. But it's a good story anyway.

Wasn't impressed

Didn't like format of book. Story wasn't good in my opinion. I can see where the book was based from and also see where the author made up their version.

Not that good

Didn't seem like I thought it would..kind of strange...the prosecution planted evidence and did dirty things to win so it seemed wrong
