Great tips for natural hair I actually learned new ways to help grow my hair and prevent breakage that I have been causing with my own bad habits. Definitely recommend it!
The book was a easy read and very informative. I already knew some if the remedies for natural hair, but I found out about new oils that I can use in my natural hair care rountine.
This book is not very long and has some good information with good explanations for why I need to change some of my hair maintenance habits to reduce damage and breakage and get my hair to its healthiest state.
Nothing I don't already know. Reflecting on my hair routine now, the only thing I follow adamantly from this book is deep conditioning my hair weekly to avoid the need to remoisturize my hair midweek, and detangling during that period. I like the pictures and visuals in the ebook, but I have to call BS on a lot of the methods preached, including the "Grow your Hair 1 inch in 7 days" segment that consists of inverting your hair in the downward dog yoga position...just a load of farce. But the rest of the advice in this book is consistent with natural hair YouTube. So if you have the money to shell out on expensive oils and hot rollers, go for it.
There was good stuff in here that I read. Some stuff I never heard of before. I like the various recipes provided too and there were explanations unlike other books.
This book offered some really good information and insight about how we, as women of color, can take care of and grow our natural hair. Can't wait to get started.
