The book is manual and textbook at the same time.
Easy and entertaining method of learning the language or iterating what is learned.

I would not recommend this book for the average user to learn Italian at least not without the audio edition.   The information is great but without the audio or at least someone who can pronounce the words correctly the reader would be just guessing.  The way I would recommend this is as a text book or for someone who speaks Italian and wants to teach others then it would be a great book. This review was originally posted on Books In Brogan

Although, I don't think I can speak Italian yet, I feel more confident than ever after spending time with this book. I didn't realize this would be a workbook type book, but I am glad. The review provided through the tests and quizzes is more helpful than I thought is would be. Now...I shall listen to people speaking Italian to improve my pronunciation. Then, on to Italy!

Thanks to Netgalley and McGraw-Hill professional for allowing an advanced look into this workbook.
