I'm just loving this series... I can't grab the next book quick enough! Wonderfully written and full of magic, mystery and mayhem! Each book digs a little deeper into the intrigue! What's next in this awesome series?
This series must be read in order. The first book is Witchwood Estate-Going Home. The second book is Witchwood Estate-Ferntree Falls. The third book is Cursed. This is the fourth book.
Alexandria finally has some semblance of guidance in the form of her aunt Mindy who is there to help her transition into her new life as head of all the white witches.Mindy is a great help to the girls and Andrew even if she acts more like a cool big sister than a guardian aunt :) Mayhem and mystery ensue as the plot reveals itself little by little. Who are the Bloodthorn witches and what exactly are they up to? Can anyone truly be trusted? Where will the next threat come from?
This series, though filled with short books, amazes me with it's complexity. I am drawn into Alexandria's world quickly and I never want to leave! Each book is more engrossing than the last leading you deeper and deeper into the complex mysteries surrounding the Harvey family and the death of it's last leader. I will be waiting impatiently for the next book Witches Bitches to come out!
***This series is suitable for mature young adult through adult readers who enjoy a bit of a fractured fairytale vibe in their modern paranormal small town fantasy action adventure coming of age suspense mystery thrillers with plenty of intrigue and romance as well as a dash or two of horror :)
Patti Roberts has a special gift for story telling. In "Timeless" book 4 in the Witchwood Estate series Alexandria is home, her childhood home and birthright Witchwood Estate in Ferntree Falls. But just because she is home doesn't mean her journey is not over. Dark and evil clans are trying to kill her. She is more powerful than even she knows and is soon learning it and Alexandria is also realizing that she has more family and some things that she thought didn't exist.... really do!
Every character is well thought out and very believable. Patti writes with an eloquence that pulls you into the story, and makes you feel like the characters are close friends. Timeless will keep you on the edge of your seat page after page and grabs you from the first paragraph..... and leaves you wanting more and more. I've said it before and still mean it, The Witchwood Estate and the way Patti Roberts tells this story, I could easily see on TV. I'm sure it would be more popular than shows like Vampire Diaries, Charmed, etc. This author is very truly gifted and you will be hooked to this series. I also recommend the Paradox Series (can you tell I can't get enough of Patti Roberts).
Author Patti Roberts has done it again. Book 4, Timeless, in the Witchwood Estate series is nothing less than amazing. The series continues with teenage Alexandria settling into Witchwood Estate and getting it slowly back into it's glory. She is still fighting the demons of her parents deaths and being raised away from all the family she is finding out still exists around Ferntree Falls.
Alexandria questions if love at first sight really does exist, if magic circles really still exist if worked correctly and who to trust when it really counts. With the stories being short stories, it is so hard to give a good review without giving away any spoilers.
I love how this series just plays out like a non-stop T.V show, just as the author meant it to. With each book, we get more history of Witchwood Estate along with the history of the Witchwood witch line. I get so lost in this series. I just feel the magic oozing out of the words as I read them.
I absolutely love this author's work and how she can capture our attention and keep us on the edge of our seats from beginning to end. I also love how the author builds up the suspense in a story and BOOM! leaves us hanging in awe and wonderment.
In this story, the author was able to capture this same awe and left me pondering and guessing about the ending and craving to know more. This one is by far my favorite one yet. It's extremely suspenseful and full of action, love, and lust. The characters are amazingly wonderful and extremely lovable. This story brought together some of the pieces from the previous books. We meet a lot of new characters and their roles in this story. Its an awesomely magical masterpiece that will bring forth a world unlike anything you have ever read. I highly recommend this series to all to enjoy and remember for a lifetime. Its also has a phenomenal array of lessons within its pages.
I received a beta copy of this book, in return for an honest review.
Timeless is Another great installment in the tv length - type - series of Witchwood Estate.
In this story , New characters are introduced within the pages and to my delight - more creatures from the paranormal and past worlds blended through..
Timeless has a perfectly paced plot, enjoyable and encentric characters, romance and a few twists and turns to keep you turning the pages. Even a sad moment or two within the story ..
If you’re looking for a ‘different’ kind of fantasy story, one that doesn’t follow any rules, that is original and even quirky ( not the same ol same ol ) I’d recommend this book to you.
It is a shorter read, but not lacking in anything what so ever.
There was humor, romance, sadness, great characters, smexiness, all of these traits holding my attention from beginning to end..
Patti Roberts did another great job on this series. Truly have enjoyed reading it. Omce you finished you are left wanting more. In this one you meet Aunt Mindy. You also meet a new vampire who has come to help. Her past is tied up with the aunt's. The characters come stronger throughtout the story and Aunt Mindy learns about something that has been going on with Andrew. You also get to see more of the powers that Andreia is learning. The other interesting part is you get to see some of the mytical folks froma previous story roll into this one. The author helps you to captivate the picture so you can be in the world and see it. I recommend this story to anyone that likes short stories and loves to curl up with a great book!
This is the 4th book in the series, and every book has just got better and better, which is saying something because book one was awesome! I thoroughly enjoyed this latest 'episode', it was a very emotive one which had me giggling in places, and crying in others. Patti Roberts has such a way with setting the scene and getting you to love (or hate) her characters that you can't help but get involved in their stories. I loved finding out more about Alexandria and her family, and can't wait for the next book to find out what happens next. Pretty awful really as this book has only just come out!!!
In this latest instalment of the wonderfully entertaining Witchwood Estate series we are introduced to two new characters, one of whom, the delightfully Aspergerish Nina takes over from Clamenza as my new favourite.
Often as a series wears on the books become less exciting and take on a 'same old' feeling, but there is none of that with Witchwood. They sparkle and bounce from start to finish and there is not a dull moment. From the deeply satisfying evil of the villains to the sunlit beauty of the visual descriptions (a particular strength of this author) there is something to delight everyone. I honestly think that anyone who is unable to enjoy these books must be already dead.
I was absolutely delighted to get the chance to read the fourth book in The Witchwood Estate series because I totally fell in love with the saga after I read the first three books last year. There is one word which can easily sum up this book and that is enchanting. It's such a beautifully written tale that combines the modern world with that of the mystical. I adore how Patti Roberts manages to entwine the two - making the main character appear both naive and magical, yet down to earth and modern at the same time. I hope I don't have to wait too long for the next instalment in this series! One of my all time favourites, by far!
Let me start off by saying I am LOVING these "Episodic Tales". There is just enough story to pull you in and enough suspense to make you crave MORE..
In this "Episode" Alexandria gets to meet more of her quirky family, in the form of Aunt Mindy. I think I can already tell I am going to like her. As well as a handsome stranger. But as her circle of friends and family grows, so does the danger. I am still unsure of some of the character's intentions, but that just adds to my craving for more. Also an old family treasure opens up new possibilities. Will Alexandria be able to escape evil's clutches? Will she find Love? I guess we will have to wait and see...
Another wonderful, and in my opinion, the very best yet, of the Witchwood Estate Books by Patti Roberts.
"...she knew anything was possible. Magic was everywhere if you opened your heart to the possibilities...chose to believe in the unexplained, and she did."
Patti Roberts takes us all to school about believing, wisdom and strength of character with the beautifully-written and inspirational storylines in her latest episode of the Witchwood Estate Series, "Timeless."
The characters all have a magically "human" quality. Leslie Hansford.
Very engrossing plot switch ups. Several unexpected characters, but fun to meet. I feel like this could be my own story I’m reading as it’s so comfortable and smooth reading.
Alexandria may be a witch but she is also a teenage girl. That means emotions may not always be under control. Often they will be raw, fresh, new. Sometimes, even with the best intentions, teens find themselves in trouble, sometimes dangerous trouble. When a mother is not available, hopefully there is an aunt to turn to.
New friends are around more but are they all as they appear on the surface? There are still so many secrets. Have you noticed those small details returning? The plot, and sometimes the fog, thickens. Thank goodness for fireflies. Keep reading because I promise you episode five is full of more surprises!
Patti Roberts makes this series fantastic. Little mini episodes where 'minor' things happen and paint a bigger picture when it's all put together. And I love the added recipes and spells as well
