stupid. this entire thing is supposed to occur before book 3, yet this is a scene that happens halfway through book 3. this is a waste of time and money. there is one sex scene in this book but who freaking cares. I hate this whole series.
Major cliff hanger. I really didn't like that and it took quite a few marks off this author for me since I thought she was almost perfect. Loved her writing style. SPOILERS******************************************** This is a continuation of book 1 - Chris/Sarah and covers Sarah's much anticipated pregnancy. Books ends abruptly with Chris/Sarah facing a possible terminated pregnancy because of health problems and they are arguing over whether to save the baby or save Sarah.
Now the buzz on the threads is that readers are left hanging until book 4 where the subject will be revisited. Keep in mind book 3 been yet to be released. Just expected more from this author.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This was very short and recapped a bit of the previous books as well as confirmed Sarah's pregnancy. There's a cliffhanger as Sarah gets some heartbreaking news about her baby girl. The cliffy didn't upset me as I already own all the books but for Sarah to endure more heartbreak after all she's been through is just too damn unfair! I'm hopeful that things will work out but she really didn't deserve this so I'm not rating it high, even though it's just a few pages long.

Seriously short -- too short. Should have been a freebie. It sets up the third full length book well. Pretty sure it will be Easy's story.
Need to read the others in the series to be able to make sense of this one. The author tries to set it up in this VERY short book and wastes space because it just doesn't happen.
You could easily skip this one and pick the story up in book 3. Save yourself a buck.
What the hey!?! Did NOT see that coming! When is this girl going to catch a break?
I am not a believer in ruining a book for other people so I am not going to tell you what has freaked me out but seriously, I am freaked at this cliffhanger.
first read this series three years ago. loved it then, still very much enjoying it this time round. not so much mc but the guys are a brotherhood, the survivors of an army ranger team who faced the worst horrors of war, and their bikes are important to them .. they accept themselves as bikers but Shooter was brought up in a 1%er club and never wanted that particular conditioning but accepted the good of that lifestyle and encompassed it with his team on their return home. a tight knit group that find strength and give strength to each other. lots of triggers for various types of abuse so those who are affected by that type of storyline should avoid the series. great alpha males ... sassy, quirky females who have great inner strengths. romances you can't help but love. very well written, with continuing storylines behind the romances.
Thankfully Barnes and Noble has this book for free because it was super short, which is totally fine. Now I didn't read the 2nd book because all the reviews sort of scared me off and the author mentioned you didn't need to read it to read the rest. I was totally lost. And then I started to read book 3 and was even more lost. SO I'm going to go back and read book 2, or at least skim it. So I suggest other people do the same.
I've only read this and book 1 "Shooter" and "Slick" was all the worst parts of "Shooter" without any of the redeeming parts.
It was slow, over-explained, boring, and predictable. The first 20% was rehashing all the stuff somebody reading a #2.5 in a series should already know, and the rest was a waste of time, only to end in a cliffhanger even though the "book" is only 32 pages long!
4.5 stars!! Read this series as a whole I must say it's pretty awesome! Each couple has a HEA and they aren't insta love which is what I prefer anyway ...... All the girls have come from bad upbringings and the boys all fought together overseas and each with their own sets of demons!!!
A nice add-on to Slick and Shooter's story and relationship. Probably could have just worked it into Shooter's book; didn't really need to make it a book. Whatever. Can't wait to read Hawk, he seems like a good character.
If you haven’t read Shooter and to a lesser extent Tex you shouldn’t read this novella. This is a very short story about Chris and Sarah, and takes place about a year after the events in Shooter. It ends on a cliffhanger and is a setup for the next books in the series.
I was so looking forward to this book. I thought I would get another glimpse at their life. This seemed to out of character for Slick and them a cliffie on a Novella!?
I hate the cliffhanger non-ending! I started Hawk, the next book in the series but at chapter 7 nothing mentions the event surrounding Slick's storyline.
