Some of the conclusions to the mysteries posed in the previous volume felt a little too strained, and the romance felt a bit forced this time around, but it was hard to mind with the amount of exciting action setpieces Sigsawa managed to squeeze in, with a few unexpected callbacks to spice things up a bit as well. Quite the exciting conclusion to the first arc of the One Continent series.

I really enjoyed the resolution to Allison, even though I would have preferred to see more of Allison and Wil actually together since they would've been pretty cute. But yes, I really enjoyed the reveal of Oscar Whittington because it made me remember that I was shocked when I watched the anime as well. It's not that it was completely unexpected but I felt it was executed pretty nicely considering the characters actions and personalities.

Nevertheless, I really liked the bit of mystery and adventure we got on the train this time and the tight knit feelings they all shared. Now we'll have to see if the four main characters' daughter and son will be as interesting.
