I think I'm still trying to get behind Sigsawa's terse-yet-technical descriptive style, but the main cast is as delightful as ever, as is the slow unveiling of the dubious plot surrounding them. Makes me real excited for the next book.

Things are starting to pick up in this novel. The first part is really to introduce some context to the events that will occur in the next part, namely the fact that Benedict's announcement to both sides of the mural wasn't exactly a feat everyone revered and celebrated for. It seems to be starting to delve into the idea that this was just the start and that real peace can't come along so simply just because of his finding, which I am very interested in seeing how everything will unfold.
