Developing a Theology of Planning

Rate this book
As you've probably heard before, "Hope is not a strategy." In fact, it's a terrible approach to grow, develop and multiply what God has entrusted to us as leaders. That's why developing a theology of planning is critical to our next steps as leaders...especially in the church.

In this eBook, among other learnings you'll discover:

> Why leaders resist planning
> What happens when you do ministry without a plan
> Why planning is biblical
> The characteristics of good planning
> How good planning benefits your leadership

Like previous eBooks written by Tony Morgan, this resource can be read in about 30 minutes, but it's designed to promote conversation and next steps. In other words, consider reading and talking about the content and the discussion questions with your team.

Ministry requires stewardship. We have to be wise stewards of the mission God has called us to engage. That's why healthy churches embrace healthy planning. We must plan before we build.

Applicable to life not just church ministry

A short and sweet walk through the why's of planning for ministry. Very helpful reminder of principles and importance of planning. Some key or interesting points: the role of planning is to understand how different aspects fit together and work together; defining and refining vision is hard work; if you don't plan, SOMEBODY will- usually the one with the loudest voice. Great read and applicable to all areas of life.

If you question the need for planning, this little ebook might be for you. Otherwise, it simply states the obvious without ever discussing the process of planning.

Great read for ministry workers

Good pointers to help anyone get started or get unstuck.
Read it just before conducting a planning session and helped me in the preparations.
