Hitoshi Iwaaki (Japanese: 岩明均 Hepburn: Iwaaki Hitoshi, born July 28, 1960) is a Japanese manga artist, whose works include the science-fiction/horror series Parasyte. The Mixx editions of Parasyte romanize his name as "Hitosi Iwaaki", while the Del Rey Manga editions use "Hitoshi Iwaaki".

In 1993, he received the Kodansha Manga Award for Parasyte. He was a finalist for the 2005 Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize Grand Prize for Historie. In 2010 Historie took the grand prize in the manga division of the 2010 Japan Media Arts Festival.

RO: Faptul că totul se poate schimba atât de ușor este, într-un fel, terifiant pentru personajul principal... însă acest aspect funcționează perfect în contextul poveștii. Îmi amintește, într-o oarecare măsură, de Guts din Berserk și de modul în care este redată „nașterea” sa.



EN: The fact that everything can change so easily is somewhat terrifying for the main character... but it works... it somewhat reminds me of Guts from Berserk and his 'birth'.

Ha habido un giro que casi no me esperaba y mi bebito Eumenes , me da ganas de abrazarlo y decirle que todo estará bien. Le amo.

Continuano le avventure del giovane Eumene. Ci sono alcuni avvenimenti importanti che non so se siano veri, anzi dal poco che ne so non lo sono comunque la storia procede bene.
Non so come Iwaaki proseguirà la storia ma è interessante notare come abbia voluto inserire il tema dell'estraneità degli schiavi, dell'emarginazione per chi non era greco: lui fin da piccolo simpatizza per i più deboli e maltrattati, cosa che non capiterà a lui, sempre che l'autore resterà fedele alla storia.

Segnalo due frasi che mi sono piaciute:

"Più che dire che lo spirito degli uomini è debole, questa esperienza mi ha fatto invece capire che esso è facilmente malleabile."

"Quello che c'è scritto nei libri... non è che una parte di tutto ciò che c'è nel mondo."

Buku 2 ini bener-bener... Mengejutkan! Wow! Kaget ternyata Eumenes itu anak angkat. Masuk akal semua.. yang mimpi kuda dan wanita pedang itu.
