Lacey Alexander

Lacey Alexander's books have been called deliciously decadent, unbelievably erotic, exceptionally arousing, blazingly sexual, and downright sinful. In each book, Lacey strives to take her readers on the ultimate erotic adventure and hopes her books will encourage women to embrace their sexual fantasies.

Lacey resides in the Midwest with her husband, and when not penning romantic erotica, she enjoys history and traveling, often incorporating favorite travel destinations into her work.

Lacey's romantic erotica combines hardcore erotica and romance. The sex scenes are very graphic, detailed, and plentiful, including graphic language and extreme sexual situations, but entwined is a romantic, loving relationship that will reach a level of monogamous commitment by the end of the book. Perfect for the reader who enjoys extremely hot, graphic sex and fantasy-type situations, but who also finds satisfaction in traditional romance and wants to see characters fall in love.

Lacey Alexander also writes romance under the name of Toni Blake.

Here's the story: Pretty, sweet, curvy, brunette Mira, owner of a cute bookstore/gift basket business has a longtime boyfriend, Ethan. Dark-haired, blue-eyed Ethan used to be a cop, but then switched careers to become a lawyer. Ethan and Mira get along great--they have similar outlooks on life and work well as a couple. But lately Ethan's been neglecting Mira and spending too much time on his career, and Mira's not happy. To make it up to her and to get their relationship back on track, Ethan has a special surprise for Mira's upcoming 32nd birthday. He has rented a secluded cabin on the lake for the weekend where he hopes to make one of Mira's secret fantasies come true--a ménage a trois. But this isn't just any old ménage, no sir. Ethan has invited his former cop buddy (and Mira's ex boyfriend, sexy bad boy Rogan, to be the third in their little fantasy weekend! Oh my. Do you think that's a good idea?

Well, as you might expect, this was one wild weekend. Mira explores her dark sexual desires (with the encouragement of boyfriend Ethan and former boyfriend Rogan) to the point of near exhaustion. But then, the unexpected happens--she starts to redevelop feelings for her ex, Rogan. Rogan and Mira broke up years ago because of his failure to commit. But what if Rogan is ready to commit now? Would Mira consider leaving nearly perfect boyfriend Ethan to take a chance on Rogan? Oh Ethan, did you make a fatal blunder by trying to please Mira?

My thoughts? Easy read, and plenty steamy. There's no doubt that Lacey Alexander knows her way around a sex scene, and writes some of the dirtiest dialogue around. And she usually makes creative use of some food object (this time it's cheesecake) in her sex scenes. However, the whole story takes place over two days, and they're spent in that little cabin (and the grounds surrounding it) and it got a little confining. I would've loved to see the decision about what confused Mira was going to do (should she stay with Ethan, give Rogan another chance, or somehow keep both of them) carry over to after they left the cabin. I guess what I'm saying is, I would've liked a glimpse into the characters' every day life. Yes, LA told us a few bits and pieces, but I wanted to see how the H/h acted outside that little love nest. The book came close to having too much sex and not much else going on (besides Mira's constant inner dialogue). Anyway, I was pleased with the decision Mira made, but

Although this story is book #2 in Ms. Alexander's H.O.T. Cops series, it works just fine as a stand alone. If you're a fan of ménage stories, you should enjoy this one. Just don't look for too much going on besides some hot sexual encounters and all three of the participants learning a little something about themselves. 4 stars

Warning: This book contains explicit sex, including oral and anal; a M/F/M ménage (no M/M); graphic language; and creative use of some cheesecake. Not for the faint of heart.

Why did I choose to read Party of Three? Well, I’m always on the lookout for erotic ménage books, and while M/M/F is my favorite, I was interested in this M/F/M because there are cops and ex-boyfriends and I have been wanting to try this author.

Mira Adams and Ethan West are in a loving, stable relationship. Ethan has left the law enforcement agency, H.O.T (which stands for “Hostage Ops Team” – but let’s face it – “HOT” – might deserve a little giggle snort) and has gone to law school and is now a lawyer. He is busy, and the quality time spent with Mira is suffering. With Mira’s birthday coming up , they both want to get their relationship and sex life back on track. Ethan takes her to a secluded cabin but has a big surprise for her. He has invited her ex-boyfriend Rogan Wolfe (who also works for H.O.T) to come join them. Recently, Mira had told Adam one of her fantasies was to have another man join them in the bedroom. Mira never thought Ethan would act on that fantasy, and is shocked and nervously excited when Rogan shows up.

First let me say, Lacey Alexander writes really good sex scenes. They are explicit, dirty, and if you are looking for a book where you just want the hot sex and don’t care about the relationship stuff, you would probably enjoy this book. I never got tired of the sex, it didn’t feel repetitive. While there is sex on the beach, sex on a boat, sex pretty much everywhere in the cabin, my favorite sex scene is in the kitchen with Mira’s birthday cake (which is cheesecake). I think we might need an excerpt from this scene:

And then – oh God, yes, yes, yes – there was Ethan, using his fingers to smudge still more of her birthday cake onto his erection, struggling a little to make it stay, but then holding the shaft down level and turning back toward her. By which time she’d never felt more ravenous in her life.

“Open wide,” he said.

And she couldn’t help thinking everything about him looked utterly delicious in that moment – not just his cheesecake-covered cock, but his entire body from head to toe.

I’m not sure if Ethan should win a medal for balancing cheesecake on his cock or using it as a spork. Either way, I’m impressed Ethan.

So the sex is fun in this book. But there is a lot that I didn’t like as well. The core of this story is that Ethan and Mira think their relationship needs work. Needs some kind of spark to make it better. So maybe bringing Rogan in and opening Mira up sexually, might help the situation. A lot of time in this book is focused on Rogan and Mira’s old feelings. They broke up, but having sex together for a weekend brings up those feelings. Rogan feels like he can’t let her go again. Mira feels very conflicted and starts to feel real things towards him. Even at one point, Ethan feels extremely jealous. All things I liked seeing and agree with.

But then the book ends so abruptly. I felt like Ethan and Mira’s issues are not addressed at all. We actually don’t even get that much POV from Ethan. Being the hero of the story, this disturbed me. I needed to feel like Ethan and Mira were back on track to a steady relationship, and I did not feel like that at the end. We get so much time invested in Rogan, for nothing to come of it. I was really let down by the conclusion of this book. For all the sex there are still three people who started having intermingling feelings and I was definitely invested in how it would all turn out. And unfortunately, in my eyes, nothing was resolved.

This book blew my mind! I stumbled across it early this morning on my Kindle- have no recollection when I got it or from where. I didn't remember any details about the plot, just that Lacey Alexander can write one hell of an erotic romance. I decided to read it cold- without looking it up for reviews or plot. I read it in one sitting, completely engrossed, shed a few tears here and there, which is very out of character for me. What a book!

Here's the story, according to yours truly:

Mira and Ethan have been together about 4 years. Ethan is a former police officer, once a member of the “Hostage Ops Team” (H.O.T.) - kinda like a SWAT team- but is now an attorney. They are pretty compatible. Trouble's been brewing, though. The last year, Ethan's been a real work-a-holic. Gone a LOT, face in the computer or Blackberry all the time. Mira's voiced her concern and more than once considered packing her stuff and moving out, seriously weighing the ramifications of an exit strategy. She's not happy with losing Ethan's companionship to his job.

At a recent family get together, Ethan's mom pulls him aside and tells him that if he doesn't get his shit together, he's going to lose Mira. Obtuse male that he is, he doesn't get it, but Mom is serious and Ethan decides he better pay attention.

So, for Mira's 32nd birthday, Ethan decides to give Mira a special birthday present. And OH, is it special! A weekend trip to northern Michigan's upper peninsula, the woods, secluded cabin, lake, boat, etc... How romantic and look! no Blackberry! Romantically cuddled on a hammock Friday evening, Ethan tells her about another surprise he has planned.

Seems that a year earlier Ethan asked Mira what her most secret fantasy was, and during their alcohol fueled discussion she shared that a menage sounded just fine to her.

Apparently her birthday surprise is a menage! SURPRISE!

Ummm.... Ethan. Maybe you should have talked to Mira about this before springing it on her, with the 2nd swinging cock driving up to the cabin while you shared the news.

To me, this is kind of like giving someone a puppy as a gift. Always ask first, don't just do it, too much responsibility and you really don't know if they truly want it or not. Sometimes the IDEA of something sounds better than the reality. But, too late!

And, whose the 2nd guy, anyway?

Ethan, being he's a smart Lawyer and all, has it all figured out! Smart, Ethan! Guess who he selected??? !!!!!!!

Rogan.

Rogan- Mira's ex boyfriend. Hotter than hell, built like a brick shithouse. Fucks like a demi-god. Wasn't quite ready for a permanent serious relationship 5 years ago. Broke Mira's heart. That Rogan.

Great choice, Ethan. Real smart, Ethan.

Rogan- Ethan's former cop buddy, current H.O.T. team member, current softball team partner.

And you know what? Rogan is cool. He likes a good time. And probably was a decent choice if they were gonna menage it up that weekend because at least they knew each other and Mira couldn't have gotten her dirty girl on with some stranger.

And yeah, the three of them burn up the pages of this story, with some absolutely Kindle melting, sheet singing, boat burning, you-name-it, they fucked there action. LOTS of sex.

But oh, the Mind Fuck. The Mind Fuck took this story from a 3.5-4 star straight to a 5 star for me.

Guess what? Rogan is five years older now. The last woman Rogan really had any serious feelings for is... YES, you are so smart! Mira! And here they are- his 9+ inches buried deep, looking straight into each other's eyes, chemistry is as powerful as ever, and I am thinking "Ethan, you are one stupid punk-ass idiot".

And while Mira enjoys the decadence of her birthday gift, this whole thing begins to seriously fuck with her head, AND with Rogan's.

Rogan, doing what I consider a smart guy move, tells her straight out how he feels. What does he have to lose? He's 35 years old, here's his chance at lasting love.

Ethan, you fucking blew it buddy, and you set this whole thing up, dude! Oops! How you gonna fix it?

What will they do? Remember, they just planned the weekend. Now they practically need a visit to Dr. Phil.

See? Sometimes the IDEA of something is better than the reality. Just sayin'.

So, I will not give away the ending of the story. Suffice it to say that any book i read straight through, that causes me to write a long review, that causes me to shed a tear or three, that I give 5 stars to, is HIGHLY recommended, if you like the kinda stuff I just described.

It's not a perfect book. There are some minor flaws to the story, which I don't want to describe because it may give away key details, but the overwhelming strengths still leave it at 5 stars for me.

Oh yeah, they totally violate a cheesecake, in ways that are probably illegal in at least 8 states.

I was stuck between really liking this book and just liking it ok.

This book took off for me and grabbed me in chapter 1 but as it went on the story line was a bit lacking to me. This whole story revolved around a weekend birthday celebration. It was all in one spot and only 3 people were involve. Also I felt there was way too much thinking going on, OK I get the need to use thinking but there was just a bit too much for me. The heat in this book was the best part but I must add that after a while I starting thinking come on can 3 people really have THAT much sex in that amount of time, just me saying that is like WTF, hahahhaaha. I must mention the use of cheesecake being used while the wild and crazy sex took place.

If your looking for a light story line and a whole lot of extremely hot sex between 3 people then I would highly recommend this book.

Party of Three
3 Stars

Ethan West and his girlfriend, Mira, have hit a rough patch in their relationship with Mira feeling that she comes a distant second to his job. In order to get their romance back on track, Ethan recruits Mira's ex-boyfriend, Rogan Wolffe, to help him bring her secret fantasy to life. Soon the three are spending a wild and passionate weekend together, but will Ethan regret his plan if Mira's feelings for Rogan return?

Another attempt at ménage and this one fares better than the last as both the underlying premise (a man fulfilling his lover's fantasy) as well as the central conflict (a woman's resurging feelings for her ex) are more believable than the usual love-fest.

The sex scenes are well-written, hot and intense, and the characters are tolerable enough. Ethan is sweet and charming; Rogan is sexy and commanding, but Mira is weak and whiny. It is unclear what either man actually sees in her, and as such it is difficult to care on way or the other about which man she ultimately ends up with.

All in all, a quick, sexy read that could have been better with a less annoying heroine.

arty of Three by Lacey Alexander
Contemporary Romance -April 3rd, 2012
4 ½ stars

Lacey Alexander knows to write a hot, HOT romance! In this erotic novel, the heroine must choose between her current love and a past boyfriend who broke her heart.

Mira Adams loves her boyfriend Ethan West, but his dedication to his new job pulls him away from her. As he distances himself from her, she has struggled with the feeling that they don’t belong together anymore and even started packing to leave him! But with her upcoming birthday Ethan has taken her away to spend time alone together and Mira feels like it is old times. But Ethan has another surprise in store for her celebration. A fantasy that Mira once told him. And he includes Mira’s former lover, Rogan! For Mira is going to experience the love of two men pleasuring her!

But plans go away as Rogan (who left Mira) discovers what he lost. He had felt that Mira was too vanilla for him and this escapade has opened his eyes to the love he holds for her, including her new, exuberant sexuality! He tells Mira he wants her back. Mira must choose between the love of each man, who will she choose?

The author sure knows how to write sizzling sexual fantasies. Who wouldn’t want the love of two sexy men? Even though both men are opposites, they are equally attractive and compelling. Rogan is the bad dominant boy and Ethan is the nice guy with some surprises of his own! Mira struggles with her feelings and has a tough decision to make but I think she made the right one. The sex is super hot and erotic fans will definitely be getting hot under the collar! This book is definitely not for the faint of heart. There are several scenes with the three of them together but they never feel thrown in or forced. Although the premise/plot is very straightforward, the author manages to imbue real feeling and substance into her characters that make them feel three dimensional and not just props in between sex scenes.

Steamy, hot sex and genuine characters with real feelings and personality make this romance stand out among erotic books.

Inhalt:

Das Kopfkino funktioniert also wunderbar.

Three's a crowd in the second of an uneven series.

The ultimate in erotic romance and sexual fantasy is Lacey Alexander. Her books are wildly extravagant, and she always seems to make the dirty talk and over-the-top love scenes work. Something about this series, though, is a miss.

Ethan and Mira are in a solid relationship of four years, but over time, Ethan has become focused on his career as an attorney and has started to neglect Mira. He plans a birthday surprise of her ultimate fantasy, a threesome, and includes Mira’s ex and fellow H.O.T. cop member Rogan, as an attempt to show her how much he really loves her and is committed to their relationship. There are so many problems with this set-up alone. The fact that to show his commitment to Mira, he invites another person to join them is weird in itself. That the third person is his girlfriend’s ex, a man she really loved, the one who actually taught her to love sex, is downright crazy.

The H.O.T. cops are a group of men who trained together as hostage negotiators, but have all gone their separate ways to different careers and cities. There’s essentially no suspense aspect to this series at all and very little interaction between the group as a whole, which is strange. Other than a few references, you wouldn’t even know that Ethan and Rogan have backgrounds in law enforcement. Of course the purpose is clearly the sex, which I appreciate, but in this instance, perhaps some focus on something else would have served the book better as a whole.

Once Rogan arrives, there is essentially no hesitation on anyone’s part, and their threesome evolves into a weekend-long orgy. There’s no question that Alexander knows her way around a love scene, and those don’t disappoint. Of course, since there’s a lot of baggage involved in this particular mix, it’s really no surprise that past feelings surface again, jealousy rears its ugly head, and this threesome gets really messy. Which brings up another issue. Alexander’s heroines have a lot of self-reflection throughout her books. A lot. If half of the book is sex, the other half is introspection and analysis by the heroine of what she’s feeling and how she’s reacting to the situation. These books are fantasy, so it’s understandable to an extent that the character has to process what she’s experiencing. In previous books the balance has worked better, more smoothly and evenly. But Mira is so busy indulging in the most extreme sex of her life one minute and then thinking it to death the next. It becomes very repetitive and almost out of place in this setting, ironic in a book where anything goes.

It also seems like a problem that the best scene in the entire book involves Mira and Rogan alone in the woods engaging in hot sex just the two of them, which makes Mira immediately feels guilty and like she’s crossed a line. The resolution is abrupt and unsatisfying. The book, like all of Alexander’s books, ends with only one couple, but the biggest problem is that for me, it’s the wrong couple. I’m looking forward to Rogan’s book next, but I can’t help but feel like this book was a missed opportunity. Sex appears to have taken priority over character development. I’m not a fan of permanent ménages, but it’s almost preferable to having the wrong couple get the happily ever after, which is just about criminal in the world of romance.

I think this book is a classic of what can go wrong with menage when the people involved don't think things through. Ethan knows his relationship has hit a rough patch with Mira, mostly due to his actions of ignoring. During a weekend away he decides to surprise her with a three way, her secret fantasy, with her old boyfriend and his friend. Here is where the problem starts.

I can see Ethan wanting to give Mira this experience, but allowing an ex to be the third is just asking for problems. And of course those issues come up. Rogan realizes that this new uninhibited side of Mira is just the woman that is perfect for him and regrets letting her go. Mira realizes that she still wants Rogan. And Ethan realizes that he didn't think this whole situation through as twinges of jealousy keep popping up.

At times I found myself wanting to slap each of them for their actions and for none of them thinking through the repercussions. I hated the position that Rogan put Mira in at one point and hated Mira for going along with it.

I thought the last scene was one that needed to happen. There needed to be a confrontation between all of them and I think the ending is what worked for all of them.

Even with all the interpersonal drama this book was full of hot sex that will leave you fanning yourself. I look forward to reading more in this series.

Super steamy book with lots of sex scenes of the naughty kind. Ethan has a birthday surprise for his girlfriend, Mira, that could cost him to lose her to her ex-lover, Rogan. Things have been rough for Ethan and Mira due to his preoccupation with work so he decides to fulfill her ultimate fantasy of a threesome to show how much he loves her. Enter bad boy, Rogan and old feelings start coming up between the two. His dominating attitude turns Mira on and she starts wondering if she can be in love with both men. Different emotions come forth during their interactions and decisions must be made that affect their future. I adored Ethan, the nice guy who orchestrated this scenario for the woman he loves and I enjoyed Rogan, the sexy bad boy who wanted a second chance and his seduction was hot. And then, there is Mirna who I liked somewhat, but her feelings kept going back and forth between the two men in between all the sex she was getting. I would have liked her to be stronger and sticking to her conviction more but I do think she made the right choice in the end. Looking forward to reading the next book in this series since one of these men will be the hero in it.

Lets just say this is my first time reading an erotica book. I'm no way a prude but the dialogue in this book is raw in your face. You have Mira and Ethan the little suburban couple going to the cabin for her birthday when the boyfriend says hey remember that time you told me your fantasy was to have a threesome. Well surprise your ex boyfriends on his way over. WHAT? A bunch of freaky, kinky stuff happens over the weekend with all three of them and Ethan gets jealous. Dude you set this nasty weekend up, now lie in your mess. I thought the book was good but I didn't really like the character Rogan he was always like "babe this and babe that". His pervert character was a turn off. The ending was funny to me. Ethan was feeling insecure and Jealous so he punishes her by demanding oral sex in the dirt- Because that will teach her I guess. Really? I smiled awkwardly through most of book. I think if you like erotica you might like this.

Classic hot Lacey A sex! And I don't think I'm the only man who has considered arranging a 3-way for his partner (and himself!).

Overall, the plot and motivations held together for me. The boat ride, the wishing well, the parts left unsaid or unresolved; they all worked for me. As noted elsewhere, she thinks too much, but then she acknowledges that to herself and us: "Less thinking, more fucking!"

And in the next story, Rogan gets his girl.

I found this book rather boring as the whole book took place in one location with only three characters. I felt that there was way to much thinking going on in the mind of the character Mira.

Ughhhhh!! This book made me extremely annoyed and I kept putting off finishing it for a year! It was all sex and introspection, no plot! Now, this being erotica i would totally be ok with just hot sex, however the heroine has tedious, super-long, constant inner monologues and they are a total buzz-kill!!!!

Every time the scene got really hot, she would start thinking and we would have to deal with her inner turmoil!!
Its either:
A) "oh im such a slut, is this ok?! Will he view me differently after? " OR
B) "omg, i think i love them both, that cant be right, who will i chose, i feel so guilty!!"
Ok thanks ... This is supposed to be a sexy fantasy book, not an installment of Dr. Phil !!!

Quick Summary
Mira and Ethan are in a long-term relationship, they live together and are practically engaged. However, due to his law practice, he started neglecting Mira and this had started to ruin their relationship. For her Birthday, Ethan wants to do something special for Mira and takes her to a cottage in the forest for a weekend, in order for them to rekindle their intimacy and to show her he still loves her. He remembers she once jokingly said her "forbidden fantasy" was to be with two guys, so he surprises her by inviting his former colleague Rogan to join them this weekend. The only issue is that this is also her ex-boyfriend... The weekend is very sexy, but turns very complicated, very fast....

Commentary
- Who came up with this great idea to ask your girlfriend's super-hot ex to join you for a weekend of threesomes? Oh, Ethan did, that's right... Best idea you had buddy, right? That didn't come back to bite you in the ass, did it?

- Mira has doubt (which is fine, this is also realistic), but then she agrees to a weekend of sex with her current bf and her ex. Does any normal woman not know what this will lead to?! How does she think that this can end well? For her or for them... A complete clusterf*ck....

- Ethan is surprised when he gets jealousy attacks at seeing his girlfriend do "slutty" things to her ex... What a surprise! Honestly, I appreciate the author trying to realistically describe such a situation - I am sure every guy would have pangs of jealousy when seeing his gf sexually interact with any guy, especially her ex. But what guy would willingly, of his own will, invite that ex boyfriend into their bed??? COME ON!

- The author keeps writing lines and whole though processes (mostly from Mira's perspective), trying to justify why their particular arrangement is OK! Ummm, but it's really not :) You can't rationalize that getting your ex and your current guy in bed together is normal or can ever end well :)

- The author constantly tries to justify the heroine's actions and keeps repeating that "just because she is wild and free doesn't mean that she's slutty or that others will view her differently." This is a recurring theme in Ms. Alexander's books and it's getting a little old. It's an erotic novel, you don't need to justify everything a character does - let them act free and "slutty" if you will, it's totally fine! But don't try to constantly justify their actions and make them think about them and stress out before/during/after sex! It's boring, I don't need to constantly read about Mira's moral dilemmas! AND also, stop trying to create "real life" situations out of fantasies and have characters claim that "if a respectable, even 'prudish', woman had sex with 8 people in a limo, it doesn't make her a slut, and her boyfriend will love her even more and still look at her the same way". Let's stick to fantasy... Because in real life, it probably kind of does make her a slut, and her boyfriend will probably not look at her the same way.... :) (sorry, this was a rant left over from L.Alexander's different book)

- Another recurring theme in L.Alexander's books is that all her heroines are either virgins, prudes, or inexperienced. And all of her heroes introduce the heroines to these kinky things and situations and work on getting them out of their shells. Fine - it's erotica - great! However, all the heroines claim, in their internal dialogue, that they are doing all of this for the hero and in order to be closer to the hero! There are always similar lines like "it would not work for me unless I look into my guy's eyes while doing another guy" or "i do it for his pleasure" or "I would not do this with or for anyone else by my guy" or "what actually gets me off is knowing that he is watching us" .... Ok whatever! This guy seems to be the center of your universe and you are actually completely selflessly doing all these things with other men - not for yourself, but solely for your guy and to feel closer to your guy! Yeah right!!!

- The whole idea of Ethan suggesting a weekend ménage in order to get closer to his girlfriend and show her he is still committed and still loves her was completely baffling to me! How do you choose to fix your decaying relationship (caused by you neglecting your girlfriend for a year) by bringing in another guy? How could this help ?? I honestly don't understand how sharing your girlfriend shows her you are devoted to her and love her??

- Ethan keeps thinking how "him and Rogan were never particularly close, they didn't even like each other that much, but he trusts him since they were cops together, so he was the ideal choice for a threesome" >!!! Not only was he not the ideal choice, he is probably the worst choice you could have made! :) You don't like him, you are not close friends, and he dated and dumped your girlfriend! What made Ethan even consider him???

- Rogan and Mira certainly cross some boundaries from a threesome into cheating, but this whole "ménage" thing was so complicated that "cheating" was bound to happen. I mean, no ground rules were set, but you don't exactly expect someone to say "Ok so you are just going to be our 'third', so you are not allowed to make out or have sex with my girlfriend alone, when i'm not there..." But I thought this would be understood without being laid out!!

- I was also bothered by the first anal sex scene, because it was mentioned that she never did this before, yet when in bed with your boyfriend and another guy - you allow another guy to "take you" that way (with no lube, by the way)... Shouldn't your boyfriend have been your first ???????

- Mira is being totally stupid and brain-dead for most of the time, but I did feel bad for her when she started feeling something for Rogan again, even though she still loved Ethan... This was actually a realistic emotional reaction and a realistic portrayal of events when certain boundaries are crossed... I also thought that the thin line between a threesome and "cheating" was well portrayed, too. Some books glorify the "threesome" and no one ever writes about the "third wheel" who will more often than not end up hurt, jealous, betrayed and angry... I guess no one wants to fantasize about that :) ! Some books take the easy way out and create a "permanent threesome couple". I am not a huge fan of that arrangement, but I honestly thought this is where this book was going ... It would have made more sense... So while this book was realistic in portraying the guilt, betrayal, confusion, heart-break , the ending was completely unsatisfactory/unrealistic! Why does Mira choose at the end?!? She keeps whining how she has real feelings for both, how she loves them both, but then in 30 seconds she just ends up picking one and knows it's the right choice! How? No explanation given...

- Also, but a blow-job is all that is needed for all to be forgiven and forgotten?!?!?! Oh and rough, no preparation, anal sex in the forest! Ew!

- Overall, unsatisfactory ending with no real resolution... Mira pics a guy at random, even though she acknowledges she loves them both! What's to say that tomorrow Mira is not going to change her mind again and realize she picked the wrong guy?? Usually, when characters end up together in romance novels, the readers are given reasons and "supporting evidence" of their "undying love" and why they should be together... Usually there is also supporting evidence and a good reason why the heroine should not be with the "other" guy. In this book though, we are left with a completely un-romantic ending...

Klappentext

Also tut sie es - Was hast du erwartet, Ethan?

I was reading through this series without reading the description and I like that I didn't have expectations. I enjoyed this story, I'd say in this case that healthy jealousy (if there's such a thing) doesn't hurt, if only it would help you realize what your priorities are, and how strongly you feel for your partner.

From the onset, I knew I was in for a fun weekend between the characters. Oh my was it an inferno! Everything was fantastic (keyword fantasy) but of course, a threesome is like a double edged sword, especially if the third isn't really into the relationship.

Mira and Ethan have been together for five years, but recently she felt that she was neglected because Ethan is now a lawyer. When she was about to throw in the towel, Ethan surprised her for a birthday getaway, a private cabin in the woods, and a fantasy that would be realized.

We know Rogan from the first book and he's invited for Mira's birthday celebration. There were a lot of emotions that ran around this story. I thought they would make it a threesome for real, but one wrong turn and Mira decided whom she wants to spend the rest of her life with.

Now, I really liked the creativity and freedom when it comes to sex here. I also felt the love between Mira and Ethan. I'm undecided about Rogan's feelings toward Mira because he could've been the one who brought out her wilder side but maybe he was younger he didn't know better and broke her heart. It's like when he saw how uninhibited Mira is in the bedroom, he decides she's the perfect woman, while Ethan just embraced all of her.

In a way, the weekend was enlightening for the three of them. Mira and Ethan rediscovered themselves, that they liked the D/s play in the bedroom, which wouldn't have happened if Rogan wasn't in the picture. One could say that there was a lot of "porn" here but I beg to disagree, 'cause the characters here aren't strangers. Sure they went at it like animals but that's part of the package. No matter how explicit or raw the sexual act is, their hearts were into it. It all boils down to being with the right person, and that applies to everything.

I like how Mira decided to be honest with Ethan about the encounter in the well, and because of his unconditional love, he just didn't want to know (of course he had an idea), and they're on to a fresh start. Their relationship was strengthened, or solidified if that's the better term and this is my favorite among the three, (I wrote this review after reading them all) because the story clearly showed unconditional love, through the trying times they stayed together.

Mira and her workaholic boyfriend's relationship was nearing a breaking point. Despite how much she loves Ethan and how great their chemistry is, she was seriously considering leaving him when he suddenly told her he wanted to take her away for a romantic weekend for her birthday. But that's not all he has planned for her. He knows he's been too wrapped up in work lately, and knows their relationship has suffered for it. So he has decided to fulfill Mira's fantasy of a hot threesome. And it's not just anyone he's invited to join them—it's Mira's ex-boyfriend, Rogan.

Mira has some trouble allowing herself to really let loose. She enjoys sex but has never done anything like this. She's afraid Ethan's opinion of her will change if she does this; that he'll think she's a slut, despite the fact that it was his idea. Then things start getting complicated. She loves Ethan, but being with Rogan reawakens the old feelings she has for him. He didn't treat her particularly well when they broke up, and she knows she needs to remember that. At the time he felt smothered and wasn't ready to give her the commitment she wanted. Now he's realizing what he gave up, and wishing he could have her again, all to himself.

Mira’s feelings for both men are understandable. Ethan is perfect in so many ways, but Rogan has an undeniable bad boy appeal. As I read, I wasn’t completely sure who I wanted to root for, and I realized this was the rare romance where the ending wasn't necessarily a foregone conclusion.

Party of Three reinforces my love for Lacey Alexander’s writing. What she writes is scorching hot and the emotions in her books go bone deep. This was an erotic roller coaster ride of delectable kink, and I’m dying to read the next book in the series.
