Arielle Sawyer is freaking out because she’s the last person in her class to be kissed. Frustrated by her kissably-challenged lifestyle, Arielle allows herself to be talked into selling her first kiss to the highest bidder—on eBay. The media soon catches wind of her story and all of a sudden she’s giving interviews and appearing on popular late-night talk shows. Due to her newfound fame, the former wallflower suddenly finds herself the focus of everyone’s attention, including that of the most popular guy at school, an actor who just happens to be the teen heartthrob of the moment and even the local bad boy. But as her popularity grows and her friendships begin to weaken, Arielle starts to wonder why she put up the post in the first place. In the end there will be a winner, but will Arielle’s first kiss end up being everything she’s ever dreamed of?
Brittany Geragotelis is living the dream. After 10 years of rejection from the publishing industry, she began to post her original novel, Life's a Witch, on the online writing site, Wattpad, hoping that others would enjoy reading her book. A year after the first upload, the book had received 19 million reads, which caught the attention of Publisher's Weekly, The Huffington Post and The Wall Street Journal.
After building up some buzz in the industry, she hooked up with her agents who instantly received interest from publishers and movie/tv producers. Within weeks, Life's a Witch went into auction between four major publishing houses, and in the end Brittany landed a 3-book deal with publishing powerhouse, Simon & Schuster.
When she's not writing, Brittany is obsessing over celebrities, TV shows, movies, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, gluten-free food and, of course, books! Brittany lives in NYC with her boyfriend and her two cats, Murray and Cohen.
Kiss and Sell is not the typical book I would read because the protagonist is only a freshman in high school, but this is a very cute, easy book to read. The story starts to pick up a few chapters in when everyone notices Arielle's eBay bid. She starts to receive attention from everyone, which is something she is not used to because she hides behind her friends. Her life in this novella has many ups and downs but in the end, she has a happy ending. Yay. The book, I would say, is not exactly set right now, because eBay and emails are popular though so I would imagine it to be around ehhh 2008-9ish?. But hey the characters were awesome especially Ryder who has an amazing heart( faith in humanity has been restored (; )
I would definitely recommend this book especially if you want something light to read ( trust me its worth reading when you're stressed out, in my case, with collegeapps)
We all wait for our first kiss to happen..but like Arielle Sawyer, did you ever think of selling your kiss online?
Kiss and Sell is a wonderfully mesmerising Chic-Lit novel basically about how Internet can affect our lives and the people around us. It takes us on a fun journey with Arielle as she goes on to experience the most unusual way of getting 'new-found' fame through an Internet bid. Two quirky best friends and two handsome guys by her side, Arielle experiences, the ups and downs of being Freshman. I would totally recommend it to all the youngsters and the 'tech savvy' generation, for whom the Internet is life. It'a a great way to learn whether the Internet is a blessing or a curse and how far we should let ourselves be tangled in the Web. Happy Reading!
An epic and Fascinating story of a girl, who catches her 15 minutes of fame. The story goes way beyond what you'd expect! Truly Mesmerizing. This book leaves you wanting for more .. Though it would have been quite nice if it really featured how Cade and Arielle's relationship developed. But still, My Overall review for the book is: Great! A must-read for all youngsters out there!

********Received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review*** This was a cute YA read for the younger teenagers. Very well written and such a clever and modern idea using today's technology ideas. The characters were great and this story had you guessing right up to the end who would prevail in the contest.
Kiss & Sell by Brittany Geragotelis was a really cute pg-13 read that I think all contemporary lovers are going to enjoy. It’s about Arielle, who has never kissed anyone before. Before she knows it, she’s hosting a bid on Ebay for her very first kiss. It sounds a little cheesy. Honestly, though, I was blown away at how gosh darn cute and original it was! I mean…who really THINKS of having people bid on a kiss? I just think that’s classic! Is contemporary my favorite genre? No. But this book made me laugh out loud several times. I really enjoyed reading this one.
Arielle is a spunky and relatable character that I think the younger crowd is really going to enjoy. There were times that even I related to Arielle…well at least my past self. I honestly really enjoyed following her adventure and watching her relationship with boys progress. In one book, I watched Arielle grow up. That’s the kind of character development that I love to see in books. It was refreshing.
I did have one complaint with this book and that was Arielle’s friends. They were really unrealistic and way too hyper for my taste. Who knows…maybe we really do act like that in high school. I know that I’m a different person that I was back then. BUT….I don’t remember people acting or talking like them. I wish that they would have been a little more toned down…a little less annoying. I liked everyone else in the book! But I just couldn’t stand those two friends. So even though I really liked the book, I could have done without those two.
If you’re looking for a cute and adorable read, then this is the right book for you. The writing is fantastic, the plot line is addicting, and most of the characters really stand out and draw you in. I know that after reading this book, I’m going to have grabby hands for anything that Brittany Geragotelis writes. Fans of Sarah Strohmeyer are going to fall head over heels in love with this book!
3.5 stars. "Kiss and Sell" is a cute story about Arielle, a high-schooler who just wants her first kiss and decides that the best way to just simply get it out of the way would be to sell her first kiss on Ebay. She just wants to remove herself from the group that hasn't been kissed to the cool group that has. All the sudden her bid to get her first kiss is getting her all sorts of attention, both wanted and unwanted and she feels that she may have gotten in too deep. She eventually realizes that there is a much better way to go about this luckily!
I really liked Arielle as a character and I felt for her throughout the book. I can remember those high school days where everyone was so focused on what they had or hadn't done when in the scheme of things, it's not really that big of deal but in high school, it seems huge. We get to follow Arielle on that journey of her realizing that there is a lot more to life than simply just doing things to do them. It takes her awhile to realize that though.
There is a little bit of a love triangle present in this book but with this story, it really works. I really liked both Ryder and Cade. I wish we got to see a little bit more of Cade and how he falls for Arielle but overall, I did really like the romance in this book.
This book is a lot of fun. It does require a little bit of suspension of disbelief. I know that my parents would have killed me (and I think a lot of people's parents would do the same) if I tried to sell my first kiss on Ebay but Arielle's mom seems just fine with it! Overall, I really liked the story and recommend it for when you are looking for a light read!
Ki$$ and $ell is delightfully unexpected as we follow Arielle as she sells her first kiss on eBay, the popular auction site. The numbers grow and Arielle realizes that maybe she has a person in mind that she'd like to kiss. After many wrong turns in her crazy life, she does what's best. Ki$$ and $ell is a great book for teens or young adults looking for a book with a bold storyline that will leave you breathless. But beware, you may find yourself in a situation where it's one o'clock in the morning and you're still sitting on the couch, wrapped up in a warm blanket with this book clutched in your hand, because you just can't put it down. I mean, I hope I'm not the only one this happened to... Review given in exchange for free copy
One thing so precious as a kiss... will you sell it to anyone who is the highest bidder? Will you sell it on an online site like Ebay? Arielle Sawyer ,a 14 year old girl ,whom has never been kissed has thought of selling her kiss on Ebay. Do you have the guts to do what she did? How did her story end? Did she finally get rid of her first kiss?
Kiss & Sell is a fun-thrilling,romantic story written by Mrs.Brittany Geragotelis. It is very inspiring and unique. It is very funny too.I was so giddy with those romance and I was always laughing at those comedies in there. It is a good story to read by teens.
This book was amazing! It was a "I can't put this book down" kind of read!! This book made you feel every emotion along with the characters! So glad I was given this opportunity to read and review this book!
