I swore my undying love to him and only him…

***This is book 4 in a 7 book series. Though it features it's own couple and HEA, it is best enjoyed when read in order as there is an over reaching arc
When Mexican-American, USA Today Bestselling author Aidèe Jaimes isn’t chasing after her energetic daughter and spending time with her happily ever after husband in their Florida home, she writes dangerously addictive dark romance filled with sexy criminals and the women that bring them to their knees!
VICIOUS CAPTOR is the fourth instalment in Aidee Jaimes contemporary, adult SEVEN DEADLY SINACORES dark, erotic, Mafia romance series. This is Rowan Kane, head of the McKenzie Crime Family in Boston, and Cartel princess Louisa Duran’s story line. VICIOUS CAPTOR can be read as a stand alone but for back story, I recommend reading the series in order as there is an ongoing premise throughout.
NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Rowan and Louisa) VICIOUS CAPTOR follows the second chance romance and relationship between our story line couple. Five years earlier, Louisa Duran was devastated when the man that she loved, walked away from their midnight wedding proclaiming she was nothing more than a power move and pawn. Fast forward to present day, Louisa is about to marry someone she doesn’t love, only to find herself a prisoner of the man who broke her heart. Enter Rowan Kane, the new head of the McKenzie Crime Family, and the man who is about to pay for sins of the past. What ensues is the contemptuous but rebuilding romance and relationship between Rowan and Louisa, and the fall-out as Louisa makes good on a plan to destroy the man who destroyed her heart.
The world building continues to focus on the search for a killer, the man known as The Ferryman, a man who is seeking vengeance for sins of the past. As Rowan McKenzie reclaims the woman he has always loved, The Ferryman has other plans, including an alliance with the woman who will betray Rowan’s heart. Louisa has become a pawn in the lives of the criminal underworld but a pawn who is about to enact the ultimate revenge.
The relationship between Rowan and Louisa is one of second chances. Rowan left Louisa at the altar five years earlier, and Louisa has never forgiven or forgotten the ultimate betrayal. Believing Louisa will forgive him his sins, Rowan sets about to re-establish their relationship only to discover that everything was not as it appeared to be. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate.
There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Rowan’s men Declan, Axel and Phil; Louisa’s father, Don Fernando Duran, and her mother Diana; as well as Louisa’s brothers Arturo, Renzo and Daniel. The requisite evil has many faces.
VICIOUS CAPTOR is a story of power and control, betrayal and vengeance, secrets and lies, forgiveness and acceptance, love and family. The premise is dramatic, intense and dark; the romance is provocative ; the characters are determined, desperate, broken and impassioned.
Part of The Seven Deadly Sinacores series each can be read as a standalone with a deadly protector and the one who captures his attention sometimes second chances don’t come easy you must work for them so hang on 😊 there’s betrayal, jealousy, lies, secrets, murders oh, let’s not forget that little thing we call violence while we are at it so hang on make sure buckle up this is one wild ride so make double check you are buckled up. Louisa is or can be a sweetheart, feisty, fierce, one of the strongest especially after having her heart broken by the man she loved. He walked away from their wedding claiming she was nothing but a pawn to him wreaking her from the inside out but also strengthen the walls around her heart now fast forward today she is being forced to marry a man she doesn’t love only to be taken by the very man who broke her heart the first time to be held as his prisoner. Rowan sexy as all get out head of the McKenzie family ruthless, deadly on a good day has made plenty of enemies has loved only one woman but broke her heart in the worst way now he has taken her in hopes of a second chance. But The Ferryman the killer who is seeking vengeance for past sins has other plans for these two he has an alliance with Rowan who has never forgotten the pain she felt when he walked away leaving her at the alter nor has she forgiven him working with The Ferryman will help her enact her revenge yet Rowan is determined to win his girl back but can he did he damage her beyond repair, did he push her too far, why did he hurt her the way he did, will she even give him a chance to explain or try to understand the why, will she continue on her path of revenge, will they figure out who The Ferryman really is why he is out to get them or will she see the second chance fate has given them, and can they find happiness somewhere along the way of rediscovery?
Tropes: Enemy’s daughter, mafia romance, second chance, captor/captive
Vicious Captor was a letdown for me—probably the weakest book in the Sinacore Alliance series so far. The FMC, Louisa, was downright insufferable: repetitive, annoying, and just not likeable.
The story follows a second-chance romance between Louisa Duran and Rowan Kane. Five years ago, Rowan left Louisa at the altar, coldly dismissing her as nothing more than a pawn in a power play. Fast forward to now, Louisa is about to marry a man she doesn’t love but is kidnapped by none other than Rowan, now the head of the McKenzie Crime Family. What follows is a messy attempt to rekindle their relationship while also dealing with the fallout of their shared history and Louisa’s revenge plans.
The relationship is supposed to be about second chances, but honestly? It’s hard to root for either of them. Louisa is consumed by revenge, and her actions are so over-the-top that it just made her seem ridiculous. Yes, I get that she’s trying to protect herself and cope with her pain, but her constant back-and-forth—I hate him, I love him, I’ll destroy him—was exhausting. And don’t even get me started on how she suddenly flips a switch and decides she loves him again. It felt so forced and unearned, I was rolling my eyes half the time.
Rowan, on the other hand, is one of those MMCs who thinks his charm and a simple “I love you” will magically fix everything. Spoiler: it doesn’t. He left Louisa humiliated and heartbroken, yet he expects forgiveness with minimal effort. While I do think Louisa went overboard with her revenge schemes, I hated how easily Rowan let her off the hook. Honestly, I was hoping she’d grovel a bit more before he welcomed her back. But no—Rowan, ever the naive bastard, just takes her back without much more than an apology.
Even the smut couldn’t save this one for me. Sure, the scenes were passionate, but they weren’t enough to distract from how frustrating the characters were.
Overall, Vicious Captor left me disappointed. Between the unlikable FMC, the rushed romance, and the lack of genuine emotional growth between the characters, I found myself frustrated more than anything else. This one had potential, but it just didn’t deliver.
Louisa is sassy, smart and fierce. There is a vulnerable side to her though that tries to come out, but after she has steeled herself after the gut shattering heartbreak she went through.
Rowan is part of the Sinacore Alliance and while he was trained by his uncles to be ruthless and never giving second chances, he still has a kind soul (unless you betray him) and will protect the people he cares about.
These two get their second chance in this story. We see how time has changed them both but they still have old feelings that resurface even when Louisa was left devastated and trying to move on while Rowan as we learn later never stopped. These two also definitely butt heads with Louisa trying to fight and Rowan hoping things will return smoothly, but as we see neither of them are perfect in navigating this relationship and I am somewhat glad Louisa sticks to her guns. They prove though how deep their connection runs as they take us on a rollercoaster of a journey and you really hope things works out.
We also continue the overarching plot of tracking down the Ferryman. We definitely get unexpected twists and truths revealed, shocking us to our core, and making us grip the narrative does of the book and flipping pages to find out what will happen next. Definitely wrenches are thrown in and we are left eager to know how things will resolve.
Overall, this was an exciting read, one I had to finish in one sitting! I cannot wait for the next installment.

Aidee Jaimes’ latest novel, Vicious Captor, is Book 4 of The Seven Deadly Sinacores series which has been one of the best series I’ve read that has kept me on the edge of my seat and interested in solving the Ferryman mystery that has been continued from novel to novel since the first book in the series. Ms. Jaimes is a master storyteller who knows how to keep her readers riveted page after page. Rowan skips his own wedding to the beautiful Louisa for reasons she does not know. Crushed by his rejection, Lou vows to never be hurt in such a way again. Several years later, on her way to her wedding to a different man she is not in love with, her car is attacked, and she ends up in the unconscious. When she comes to, she finds herself Rowan’s prisoner! Like all of Ms. Jaimes’ novels that I have read, she juxtaposes physical attraction against emotional hurt that furthers the angst and suppressed feelings between the protagonists in such a way that their passion explodes tenfold! Without a doubt you will fall in love with Rowan, who is steadfast in his love and attraction to Lou, and had noble reasons for missing his wedding to her. Lou, at times, is not my favorite character. I won’t give away what happens because that would spoil the pure joy of having your emotions sent all over the stratosphere by this gifted author. You just need to know that you MUST read this novel!
Cat’s Stats MMC/FMC- Rowan and Louisa POV- 1st person dual Genre- Mafia Romance Heat- 🌋🌋🌋🌋🌋 They do all the things and use all the words to name the parts. Series? Y Safety? Y. HEA for the couple; overall story arc continues. Triggers- Language, Explicit Erotic Content, Violence, Aggressive Use of Eating Utensils. Tropes- Forced/Arranged Marriage, First Love, Second Chance, Hate to Love You, Secrets and Lies, Abduction, Dude in Distress. Mewsings What I liked- The intensity of their feelings for each other fairly leapt off the page. I love a good First Love, Second Chance story and this one gave me all the feels. I liked the balance between action and romance; the pacing of the book kept the pages turning. The zexytime was hawt as hades without being too much. And although there were times when I wanted to throttle Louisa (her temper made her impetuous), she got things done and my frustration with her is a sign of a well-written character. And I would totally give my phone number to Rowan, whose determination to have Louisa was intense and extremely hot. I also liked the revelations about the Ferryman…. This book is not a standalone.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am voluntarily reviewing it. We are back with the Sinacore Alliance looking for the Ferryman to take him down. Rowan Kane and Louisa Duran have history. History that cannot be forgotten. On the day of Louisa’s wedding, Rowan took Louisa and her mother. As the head of the McKenzie family, he knew that the union of the families would be great for all involved. Rowan had another reason. Louisa was always his. He was never going to allow her to marry anybody but him. In fact, he threaten a war between the families to get Louisa to agree to the marriage.
Louisa wanted to fight Rowan but her feelings ran deep and her body responded to him just like in the past. Can Louisa forgive Rowan for leaving her at the alter? She was in love. Getting the phone call from Rowan saying he never loved her and would not be there, destroyed Louisa in ways no one could understand. Louisa had a plan and that plan did not include Rowan or her feelings for him.
Like the other books in the series, the twists and turns will blow readers minds. This book is hot and off the charts steamy. I loved the conflict between Rowan and Louisa. When things start coming out, readers will not be able to put this book down.
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, and Louisa definitely feels scorned! There’s a fine line between love and hate, and when it comes to her feelings for Rowan, Louisa walks it. The storyline continues from the other books in the series. It wasn’t bad, but there were times I struggled to stay interested. But then it started getting good, and things took a turn I definitely see coming. I first liked Louisa, but then I did not. What she did was unforgiving and was done out of anger and hurt. If she would’ve just asked Rowan, she would’ve learned the truth to his actions years prior. I enjoyed Rowan. He was forced to make a decision that affected his happiness and life. But his devotion and love for Louisa stayed just as strong even when they were apart. This wasn’t bad and I look forward to the next book!
Book 4 in the Sinacore series had the same action, suspense, and angsty romance we found in the first three books along with some new twists. Louisa and Rowan had been star-crossed young loves years before but he left the night they were supposed to be married. Fast forward five years, Lou is getting married again but is kidnapped on the way to her nuptials by her long-lost love...who she never got over. Lou is furious with Rowan, however, and doesn't make things easy on him! The storyline flows well and has many twists the reader doesn't see coming. While this is a standalone, I have read in order and felt the experience has been better this way- and I am excited to dig into Scarlett's story next!.

The phonetic spelling of the Hispanic father really bothered me. It seemed racist. I initially thought it was a typo the first time I saw "you" replaced with "jou". She did something similar to another book, and it was really annoying and unnecessary.
I didn't like the fmc, she kept talking about what a badass she was in her head. But, there was nothing to show for it. She was mad at the mmc, but never talked to him or asked him why he broke up with her. Was it enough to turn him over to the bad guys knowing they're going to kill him? She was unlikable throughout this point, and besides sex, I didn't see anything else going for their relationship.
I don't think I'll be continuing with this author or this series.
What a great story, we are on the fourth book in The Seven Deadly Sinacores series. This is the story of Rowan and Louisa. They already have a history together. A few years ago she thought he was the one and agreed to marry him, but while she waits in the chapel for him and he then he doesn't show up and that broke her heart. Years later, she is no longer the naive girl and is about to marry someone else. When she is on her way to her wedding, they are attacked and she wakes up in the arms of her rescuer/captor, who is none other than Rowan. The drama, and action, and the road they take is rough, intense and intense with plenty of steam and passion in between.

This is the fourth book in this series, and this is Rowan and Louisa’s journey. Rowan is a member of the McKenzie’s, a rival crime family, who is known for death and destruction. Rowan and Louisa fall in love, and are ready to get married, but he does not show up. Now 5-years later, Louisa is getting married, when her car is attacked and she finds herself kidnapped and in Rowan’s hands. This is a well written action packed, emotional roller coaster, with family, angst, vengeance, challenges, secrets, lies, enemies / lovers, and first love, which leads to an entertaining, unpredictable twisted, and a steamy, dark mafia romance. Another great book in this series that comes with a few shocking surprises and twists and turns. Louisa was left heartbroken when Rowan, the love of her life, left her at the alter, and she is determined to seek revenge. However things don”t turn out as planned and a few shocking revelations changes everything for them both. Another really great book, with a few great twists that you could never have predicted. With lots of action, heartbreak, lies and betrayal, you won’t be disappointed with this book! I can’t wait to read the next book in this series!.

This is Book 4 of The 7 Deadly Sinacores Series. It is a stand-alone but the series has a larger plot that is left hanging at the end of this book. Rowan and Lou's story is filled with angst, drama, loads of chemistry between the main characters, bit of action, betrayal and a love that survives so much but pulls Rowan and Lou back together and brings forgiveness with it. Such a great book and a fantastic series. Can't wait till the next book.

Five years ago, they were madly in love but on the night they were suppose to marry Rowan did not show up. Heartbroken, Louisa vowed to not let herself be vulnerable. Now she is on her way to getting married but get ambushed on the way and gets saved by the man that had left her. The plot continues on from the series and it does have a great twist. Louisa's character though didn't quite have me cheering for her.

I love this series! Book after book this author brings edge of your seat, nail biting stories that completely consume the readers and brings them back for more. Vicious Captor is book 4 in The Seven Deadly Sinacores series and is Louisa and Rowan's story. The saying is that dynamite comes in small packages and Lou is some kind of explosive. Rowan had his work cut out for him with her. He left her at the altar one time and she doesn't quickly forget. Their journey is intense, dramatic and downright delicious. Vicious Captor is another great addition to this series.
Louisa and Rowan were in love regardless of the fact that he was an emery to her family but he never showed up for the wedding. Now five years later she has taken charge of her life and is a strong woman and once again heading to her wedding but she gets kidnapped by you guessed it - Rowan. He never stopped loving her and is determined to marry her even if it puts both of them in danger. This book has some suspense and steam.

This book had so many twists and surprises and added new layers to the whole Ferryman intrigue. This is not really a stand-alone, so if you haven’t read the previous books, I highly, highly recommend the series!!!
My heart hurt for both Rowan and Louisa. My only complaint was this: Would Rowan have *really* not told her why had to do what he did??? It wasn’t the reunion that anyone wanted, but in the end, they do get their HEA. And we get an even more tangled web of intrigue around Gideon Black…

Wow, I was absolutely astounded reading this book it was fantastic, the story was written well it was mesmerising and the characters were really captivating. This story was about Louisa and Rowan, they fell in love and then he disappeared. Five years later she is in the limousine with her mother when they relized the car was hijacked. There was a lot more going on and while the emotions ran high to me crying in parts.

She fell in love agreed to marry and was left at the altar. Having been made a fool Louisa vowed she would get revenge. Five years later she is on her way to another wedding and again it is thwarted but by the man she had made her vow to Rowan. This action-packed story kept me glued to the pages of this thrilling story as I cheered Louisa on to finally get her chance for happiness.

Louisa and Rowen these two have a history to say the least. Rowen left her at the alter but from the moment I started reading I knew there was way more to the story he wouldn’t leave her without reason and I needed to know what the heck happened! This was another story where we get all the things. The stream the spice the hate but is it really hate. There were moments that I loved these two and moments I absolutely couldn’t stand Louisa like what she did was dirty but Rowen that man always stood by her and protected and loved her no matter what. These two were really meant for one another but them getting there was a journey.
Twist 5 stars. - Wow, what a twist! There is really no way to say anything about this book without divulging the twist so read the previous books first in the series. Story is still full of steam and violence. Lulu behaves like a mafia don in her thirst for revenge. Rowan is a bit dumb for not explaining the circumstances to Lulu but all turned out fine. Well, not all LOL. Can't wait for the next book! I received an advanced copy and voluntarily chose to review it.
Rowan and Louisa. He belongs to the rival family. She gave him her heart. He tore it out and stomped on it when he left her at their wedding telling her she was just a pawn. Now shes to marry a man she doesnt love and he takes her for a second chance, but there are those who will see them dead. Full of Betrayal lies secrets. Rollercoaster ride. Loved this story.

Although I enjoyed "Vicious Captor," I had higher expectations for Rowan and Lou's tale. The plot didn't always flow as well as I had hoped, even if the book had its moments. At times it felt a little strange. Notwithstanding these setbacks, their trip was neatly concluded with the happy conclusion, which was enjoyable. All in all, it was a worthwhile read, albeit the plot and character relationships could have used a little more nuance.
I found this book to be emotionally engaging right from the start. The darkness surrounded her world becomes even darker given her situation. I loved her strength. I loved how well the author crafted a believable and compelling love story. I loved the danger which was well written and perfectly executed. Great storytelling.

This is a well written book with strong characters in Rowan and Louisa. The author takes you into their lives with drama, anxiety, chemistry and forgiveness and kept me reading with all the action and love. She moves the story fluidly with her descriptive scenes and delivers a terrific read.

Rowan and Louisa were in love and ready to tie the knot. Rowan walks away from her. Five years later, Louisa is ready to marry a man she doesn't love, but she is kidnapped by none other than Rowan. They will have many obstacles to overcome. A dark sexy mafia read that will keep your attention.
