I didn’t enjoy the smut in this book as much as the first one. The hero is part of the Diaz Cartel, so it gets dark/violent a few times (my poor heart can't handle it). He’s obsessive, possessive, and stalks the heroine. Oh, and he’s her boss. I was disappointed there wasn’t a sex scene in his office.

I’d like to think deep down in Alexys’s subconscious she knew Andres’ masked secret….maybe WAY deep down
And you would have thought Andres would have learned from his best friend/brother Alejandro that you should never keep secrets from the woman you love…MEN!!! They’ll never learn
Crave is part of an interconnected series…you do not have to read Tryst first but I’d highly recommend it…while Tryst is Alejandro & Isabella’s story we do get a glimpse of Andres too…& yes Alejandro & Isabella are in Crave briefly so we get to check in on them too
Check the trigger warning before reading because there are several….I mean these men are the head of a drug cartel so there’s that….there are other things at play too though…the spice was spicy & while at times didn’t seem consensual no one was complaining to much either

Holy smokes. This was a darker stalker read that leaves you questioning where you fall on the morality scale for sure. Overall a great quick read to finish off the year! It’s hot and spicy, it’s dark, it’s everything we love to see! Watch the triggers for sure!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book 😍 The second book in the Marcano Moguls series, we follow Andres and Alexys' story.
Andres, alongside his partner Alejandro, run Marcano Enterprises and the Diaz Cartel. Alexys takes a job as his assistant, and Andres becomes obsessed.
It's a short, exciting, dark romance with a tonne of spice (and triggers - be warned ⚠️). I enjoyed the excitement that Andres brought to the story, and i loved Alexys' character. She's so funny and sassy 😍
If you love an OTT, masked stalker with a Jekyll and Hyde personality and a filthy mouth - Crave won't disappoint!

DAMN! That was so freaking hot, depraved, and sinfully delicious! I love masked men stories with men that are utterly obsessed with their prey, and will do anything and everything to make them theirs forever. This story was exactly like that. It had me on the edge of my seat, biting my nails with anticipation, and grabbing my best friend B.O.B. to help alleviate the delicious ache that Andres was doing to my lady parts!
I absolutely loved Alexys. She’s definitely me in another life! She’s feisty, smart, and sassy. She can’t help but crave the twisted, obsessed, and damn right sexy masked man, who gives her everything she didn’t know she ever needed, and a hell of a lot more!
The smut in this story was so freaking sinfully delicious, there was definitely no way that I was going to keep my panties dry throughout! I devoured every depraved and insanely erotic moment of it, and could not get enough of it.
This story was well written with amazing characters, and with a storyline that was filled with suspense, action, violence, delicious smut, and twists and turns that I didn’t see coming towards the end. I enjoyed every second of it and I can’t wait to read more by this amazing author.

This book was so hot! Be aware that it’s a dark romance with lots of trigger warnings… if that’s your vibe (it’s definitely one of mine), then read it! This is book 2 in J.L. Quick’s “Marcano Moguls” series. I read this one first, but definitely want to read the first book (“Tryst”) now!
The spice was just right in this book! Well-written tension, nice build up, easy to visualize. I could feel the suspense, angst, and anticipation when I was reading. The violence wasn’t over the top. Definitely one of my favorite reads in this category.
It gives very “Haunting Adeline” vibes toward the beginning with the obsessive, violent, possessive stalker MMC, so if you read and liked that book, I’m sure you’ll love this one! Don’t get me wrong, the storyline is different… just a similar vibe, especially toward the beginning.
I absolutely devoured this book! Is a shorter book around 200 pages and easily able to read in a few hours. But make sure you give yourself a block of a few hours because you’re not going to want to put it down!

Excuse me but where can I find a man like Andres?! This was my first book from J.L. and it did not disappoint. I love stalker romances and this has literal “touch her and die” vibes which are also a top fave. 😏 I loved Lex’s sassiness and that she gave into what she craved and honestly what she deserved. I can understand her sense of insecurity being curvy, but my favorite thing was how Andres erased that and made her feel wanted. I can’t wait to see what J.L. writes next! Definitely made a fan outta me.

You know those movies you watch, which you are not supposed to coz they are not good for what ever the reason your parents told you not too? Well crave is like that. Boy oh boy , reading this one was just sooo good but know that it's all dark n wrong but you thrive in that darkenss. J you killed it with this! Alexys and Andres , talk about stalking , obsession and I will burn the world for you vibes this one has everything.
I think stalker romance is my new favourite trope! Well anyways our dark stalker has his eyes on Alexys and makes sure their paths cross and the way their story unfolds is a thing of beauty. I don't want to say much but hot damm pick up this one and you won't be disappointed in all that is sinfully dangerous!

Andres Ramirez saw Alexys Noble and knew he had to have her. It was fortunate that she already worked for his company, Marcano Enterprises. Currently, Andres is helping run both the legitimate and illegitimate parts of Marcano Enterprises. Very few know about the illegitimate parts of the business and Andres wants to keep it that way. There is no other way to say this, Andres is stalking Alexys and has been for a while. When she became his assistant, he ramped it up in a way no one would imagine.
Andres,the stalker, makes himself known to Alexys and she does not scream. She feels safe with him for some reason. Throughout the whole book readers will be wondering will Andres ever reveal his true identity to her. Especially when he reveals his feelings for her as her boss and starts a relationship with her. Yes, you heard right. Alexys thinks she is dealing with two different men when it is really just one man with two very different sides.
As usual, these men fall hard for headstrong women. Alexys refuses to follow a direct order because Andres refuses to give her all of the information. I loved that Alex has learned from his mistakes and counsels Andres to tell Alexys everything as soon as possible. Andres refuses to tell her. What if she walks away once she finds out? I am really enjoying this made family. They may not be blood but they are brothers and that is all that matters. We get an update on Alex and Isabella. Isabella is still as feisty as ever and I am here for it.

This review is long awaited.. I have been trying to find the time and I really want to get this out in the year 2023. Sooo it's now or never as they say..
Crave knocked it out of the park for me. J.L Quick is an amazing writer and based on her discord also a kicka** person. I have enjoyed getting little snippets of her as a person through the discord and I gotta say I lover her ☺️Okayy now that I got the gushing about J.L Quick out of the way we can talk about the book. 😉
I love myself a morally gray man and Andres doesn't disappoint. That man will have Alexys at any means necessary! The whole " two different men" aspect was new for me and I didn't hate it. I did think the longer it went on just tell her already 😆 but where's the fun in that. Alexys was a kicka** MFC that I could get behind, she knew her worth and even though she questioned her choices a bit, I mean who wouldn't if you had a dangerous masked man keep showing up and doing things to you that you really liked but probably shouldn't as a sane woman.. 😉 I had a blast reading this book and honesty wanted more... that's a J.L Quick book for ya though.. all in all I am in love with this book and can't wait to see what this author has in store in the new year!! I wish her all the best and will be impatiently waiting for the next book.

this is the second book in this series, but you don't need to read book 1 first.
this story follows Andres and Alexys. Andres was running late one morning and traffic was bad, so he opted to take the train, which is where he set his sights on Alexys. since then, he has been following her for about a month before they finally make their first contact with each other.. Alexys is starting her new job as an executive assistant to none other than Andres. Andres is a d*ck to alexys.. why? idk.. anyway but a masked man starts to talk with her through texts and breaking into her apartment, telling her she's his and no one touches what's his. But soon enough, Andres enters the chat and wants to date alexys.. but the problem here is alexys is already dating her nighttime masked friend.. will she find out who he is, or will he never tell her who he is?
my thoughts/opinions.. minor spoilers ahead don't read if you want a spoiler free experience.
the book started out really good and I was so excited about this second book because the first was spectacular. but midway through it kind of died down and when I wanted Andres to finally tell her who he is he's not.. were like 85/90% into the book and it's finally revealed.. and then the rest is literally boom done hea no questions about it. I think I would have enjoyed it more if we had more time to explore them as a couple with no secrets instead of we're moving in.. the end. just felt anticlimactic.

This is the perfect mafia story. I loved everything about it. The games that Andres played with Alexys were great. I love how open she was to everything. This is great series so far. I can’t wait to read more of J.L’s books.

"Crave" is the second book of "Marcano Moguls series" by J. L. Quick and fellows the story of Andres and Alexys. This is a quick read, dark, with a good plot and loooot of spice.

Andres is in the morning the Billionaire CEO and on the evening the obsessed masked Stalker. I loved how Andres kept two sides of himself. His obsession towards Alexys hits a creepy high. And Alexys (sassy, curvy FMC) is strangely attracted to the masked man. Although Andres gave Alexys little hints, she didn't notice. It keeps you guessing when Alexys will put the pieces together. 🤭

Embarking on my first book of J. L. Quick through "Crave" turned out to be a decision i won't regret. I was hooked up with the story, liked and enjoyed it. I read this book in one sitting and liked the chemistry and connection between the MC's. And holy water don't let me start with the 🌶️ it was perfectly well written, top-notch, I mean it starts right away. 🥵😏

Oh, Andres!! The stalker vibes in this are top notch, and the spice is off the charts. I am living for the banter and Alexys' inner dialogue. She is literally amazing and so funny. The times her thoughts made giggle! It may or may not help that my husbands nickname for me is Lex, as my real name is Alexis.
Let's just say this book made me feel... all the things. The spanish nicknames? *swoon* I'm absolutely here for it, and flew through this!!
Also, it made me realize I definitely have a thing for the workplace, forbidden, boss-employee dynamic.
And I have no shame, give me them all.
I'm a sucker for a chase, and a mask. And honestly, this hit all the right spots. The drama, the romance and pure filth, and the last 5 chapters?
I think I gave myself eye strain from reading those so fast.
The title is so fitting for Andres, and I love that you can't tell this is a mafia stalker romance by the title and cover. So classy!

I absolutely loved this book!!
It is fast paced, bonkers 😜, and a thrilling read!
Amazingly written, I love how the narrative pulled me in from the very first chapter. It is dark, depraved and oh so delicious.
Alexys and Anders are one hot sizzling couple. I can’t wait to read more from this series 🥰

Let me just start by saying .... WOW! I've been reading J.L. Quick works for some time and I have enjoyed her mafia romance and even though this one is more cartel focus I am trully enjoying this new series. When I read Alejandro and Isabellas story on Tryst it was good. The spice was there, we had age gap and just overall a fun short read but this one was just so freaking GOOD!! There is just something about a masked man with stalking tendencies that just gets me going every single time.
One thing that I would also like to point out is that this man had such a dirty mouth on him. The amount of blushing I did while reading this book was no joke!

This was a good read! I don’t think it was as good as the first one though. The way I pictured Andre’s in the first book was nothing how he was in this book. While I love stalker vibes, some of his actions were a little questionable but I still enjoyed it. Alexys is a sweet girl. She thinks she’s crazy for what she likes. The plot was good but I felt there was something missing. Normally I don’t mention this but there were a lot of grammar mistakes. While it doesn’t change my rating, it did bother me because there were quite a lot of them. I recommend this book to lovers of cartel vibes and stalking vibes.

If you like your MMC unhinged, obsessed, masked, and stalking you, then look no further cause Andres is your man. This is book 2 in the Marcano Moguls series but can be read as a standalone. It’s fast paced and HOT AF which kept me flipping the pages to find out what was going to happen next. This was also my first read by J.L. Quick and you can be damn sure I’ll be looking for more of her books.
I loved the way Andres kept the two sides of himself completely apart from each other. He was either the masked stalker or the billionaire CEO (who dropped a few hints to Alexys along the way). As for Alexys, who doesn’t love a curvy FMC with a side of sassy? Though at times I wanted to smack her and be like “HOW ARE YOU NOT GETTING THESE HINTS??”
This is a great fast read that was hard to put down, thanks for the ARC and I can’t wait to see what’s next.

This was one of the hottest books I've read all year. Andres and Alexys are volatile together. It's a little unorthodox how Andres goes about getting Alexys, but my lord, it sure was hot getting there.

This book had everything a dark romance girlie could want.

I loved the way the plot unfolded. I loved Alexys & Andres even more than I loved Izzy & Alejandro. This second book was everything I didn’t know I needed in this series. The perfect amount of smut and plot. I was so invested and I couldn’t wait until the secrets were revealed. It was a quick read but it didn’t feel rushed. There was enough character development for the length of the book.
As far as the 🌶️ spice - there are 5+ detailed smutty scenes. Which is impressive in 200 pages and a well developed plot. I wish he had bent her over his desk, but that scene in the dark alley makes up for it. 🥵
This book was the perfect amount of plot and smut. It’s hot and heavy with lots of build up that leaves you wanting more.
A couple of my favorite quotes from this book:

“You. Your queen belongs to you. I belong to you.” ~ Lex
Deciding to take Alexys as mine is like bringing an angel to live in fucking hell. Forcing her into the dark and then convincing her why she should love the fucking devil. No one loves the fucking devil. ~ Andres

Oh my panties...or lack there of in this case. Sweet baby Jesus! Look I knew all the book girlies were all simpin' over masked man. But this book brings a whole new level: Kink Upgraded and Unlocked. Warning: You will need a cold shower...or a few...ya know what just go ahead and enjoy a cold bath when you read this book.
We are introduced to Andres and Alexys. Andres we met briefly in the first book. He had a front row to watching Izzy fall for his best friend and now he wants that. From the moment he laid eyes on Alexys, he knew she would be his. His ways to claim her are a bit unconventional, but he isn't sure she will accept all of him. He feels like it's the only way to be sure.
Alexys isn't completely comfortable in her skin. She's a thicker girl and feels like no man will ever want her. She's been seeing a guy but he doesn't elicit the spark she desperately craves. Until the unknown number text her. While it seems wrong, it's also gives her the thrill she wants. But logically she has to be losing her mind...right? The masked man behind the unknown number gives her the thrill she is desperately seeking in the darkest hours of the night. In the daylight, she recently got a new promotion and is not the assistant to Mr. Ramirez. He's hot AF, but he doesn't seem to be interested in her, at least she is able to convince her self of this. Until one night...well, you need to read to find out!
The spice is chefs kiss. But JL knows how to write a spicy book that isn't straight smut. The story kept me turning the page. The spice was just a happy addition. A VERY happy edition. ALL the chili peppers for this gem.
