Original, Spiritual Seeking or Human Evolution - hard to Describe - Author Debut

I had a difficult time defining this novel into any one category. It was spiritual and soul searching and for me, crossed many lines of writing styles from Sci-fi / Dystopian, WWII Historical, Romance and Horror.

With Winter coming this will be a good book to curl up with while the snow falls outside as it is a long one and needs your undivided attention. At times I was confused but I kept reading looking for the answers and found them.

The characters were well thought out and developed. The cruelty in the camp especially a number of scenes made me ill but so did reading the about the Nazi camps. I had a difficult time remembering that this was not about our world wars but a trip to another dimension where magic and the achievement of eternal life exist side by side.

I think the author was too kind to the King who allowed this cruelty to occur on his watch. The mentions of magic, psychic powers and fantasy were lightly sprinkled throughout the novel but didn’t overwhelm it.
5 Stars for a very Original Tale from this first time author.

Eternal Infinite may well go down in history as one of the most unique books ever written. It is a story that demands time, concentration and patience, but if you stick with it, just like panning for gold, the good stuff will come through. Whilst the story is lengthy, the thing I had to contend with was exactly where I was in the story. The first third seemed to be like a dream sequence, the middle part was where the story really kicked off, before the close of the final third.

This in itself is a good thing. The author has given readers a challenging tale whose protagonist, Saidi, is by far the stand out character. I felt less connected to the others.

In terms of genre, Eternal Infinite defies straight forward classification in my view. It's a fantasy, a thriller, a horror, an epic and much more. And none of you will be able to say 'there's not enough story here' because the author created quite an epic with her debut novel.

I read a book earlier in the year that won major literary prizes. The establishment loved it, but normal readers like myself, not so much. That said, I could not deny the author's unique style of story telling, and I would go as far to say that Eternal Infinite follows a similar vein.

Some books are an easy throwaway read. Others need you to pay attention. If you give this book a try, you'll find your attention rewarded.

At 607 pages this is a large book but unlike a majority of big books that have far too many words, bog down with endless descriptions of locations, and one gets lost in the labyrnith of plot twists and character traits Eternal Infinite moves along at a riveting and compeling pace. One can set the book down for a few days and come back without having to reread the previous chapter. The story is so well presented it will not leave your mind. If you are a fan of fantasy with touches of true history ad at times find yourself searching for more meaning in life I recommend this book. It is not a shallow read - no Tinker Bell and Captain Cook - but people who live forever who are hunted like rabid dogs and experimented on, and the powers that be that imprison all those who do not believe like they do. Engrossing and stimulating read.

If you like to savor a book and its story, not rush through a fast read, Eternal Infinite by Pam Kesterson will take you on an intricately detailed journey filled with romance, deceit, discovery and enlightenment in a fantasy setting that feels part contemporary and part historical.
A mysterious group of people are said to have the secret to eternal life and fear of their kind leads to their mass round up and imprisonment. Used as guinea pigs by a twisted doctor, the search to find what makes them different and gives them immortality becomes cruel and vicious. Meanwhile, a comatose young woman is found by the realm’s king and his advisor/best friend, becoming the king’s ward. She has no identification, but something about her draws Shenser to her, as he sits vigil day after day at her bedside. When she awakens Saidi has no recollection of her past, but there is something special about her, almost magical. Will her awakening also awaken the world to the truth of the horrors of the prison camps? Are they truly immortal in body or is it their belief that their spirit lives on forever that gives them an almost otherworldy countenance?

Pam Kesterson has built a world filled with intense descriptions for each scene as her characters thoughts and actions drive this plot along at a steady pace for leisurely reading. There is no need to assume anything, as motives are explained and each subplot entwines itself around the main tale. The biggest mysteries on the road to the final discovery are the “Infinites” and who and what they truly are as the blind fear of the unknown becomes an eye-opening enlightenment.

This was a rather enjoyable read full of originality and surprise. It is the first book I have read from the author and while I am a prolific reader, it had the challenge as a large book of following on the footsteps of two very quick short books for me. That it withstood this test is good news as I can be impatient if a book doesn't hold me. The thing I most enjoyed here was the originality of the story. The setting and timeline, characterisation and direction it took, were for me unique thus giving Pam Kesterson something many authors lack and that is a distinct voice. Though there was plenty to enjoy and enough mystery as to the Infinites to keep me intrigued, she never overly complicated the sub-plots or lost her way which a lesser talent might easily have done. Clearly a writer with great imagination, I have no doubt I will return again to discover what else she might have in store for me. It is not a book to read in an afternoon for sure, but it is a book you can return to comfortably without having to remind yourself of what came before and one you will want to pick it back up. If I was to make one constructive criticism it might be to reconsider the cover. It is an odd thing but I passed this one by several times on my kindle because of it. It gives nothing of the story for me, and that might be useful as a tip I don't know but I do know I enjoyed the book once I opened it. There is even better to come I am sure from a new writer to me and I can happily recommend this book to you, so pick it up and enjoy something different. A good story well told from a fresh talent.

The first surprise for me when I started Eternal Infinite was the main character, Saidi. Pam Kesterson in creating Saidi Noersetek has produced an original character who has tenacity, honesty, intrigue and a soft side. As a reader who likes a strong and well developed character I knew I was in for a good read. The character, at one point, is on her own mission to the barracks and Kesterson cleverly ups the pace, introduces near panic, what will she get when/if she gets there? What will she encounter? (no spoilers!) - imagine Sarah Connor in The Terminator then you will get the feel for the urgency expressed by the the author. It has you flipping the pages, you need to know what happens next.

Pam Kesterson pays the same attention to all her secondary characters. Again these characters are well developed and with good reason as there is a follow on story to Eternal Infinite. The interaction between the characters and their own flaws do make them believable.

The plot has been clearly thought out and delivered in third person omniscient and I am okay with this. This type of narrative keeps the reader informed regarding thoughts, ideas and emotions. Given the book is of significant length I don't feel it could have been written any other way. The style feels natural and the pace just right.

A book to read and enjoy - another bonus is that there is more to follow.

I can honestly say I've never read a book quite like this. I don't even know where to begin.

Books are for entertainment, yeah? I find so often that many tend to be mindless fun. Sometimes that's good - but other times, I miss really having to think. This is one of those books that gets your mind a buzzin'.

Infinites live forever and you can imagine the feelings that creates in those that don't. They want to know the secret to eternal life. At the same time, the Infinites are different, freaks - so they must be bad. Sounds like soooo much of our world's history, right? So what happens - they are rounded up and put into camps very much like concentration camps where they can be experimented on by the King's own doctor.

Saidi is an Infinite, but she doesn't know it. Her memory has been wiped and she's been found nearly dead by the side of the road. Taken in by people at the palace, she is falling in love while her son and granddaughter are starving in one of those camps.

It's a terribly sad story - as is every story that reminds us of what human beings can and have done to one another. It's inspiring as well. The Infinites are an extremely spiritual people and their faith is seen as something that can get them through anything.

The story started out quite slow, but once I got into it, I was fascinated and thoroughly entertained at the same time.

Eternal Infinīte is a heroic fantasy that combines romance and adventure in a supernatural setting. Saidi wakes up from coma and she has no idea of her past life. While in a coma, a mysterious group of people are gathered up from around the world and thrown into prison camps. This group never die because they have accessed the secret of eternal life. Will the secret be revealed or will it be kept hidden?

Although it's a bit too long but the characters are great and well developed and we get to see the variations in personalities. The concept is very different, not the typical vampire/witches kind of paranormal. I would recommend it to the readers who like to read variations and diversions in paranormal stories.

Be prepared to have your pants scared off! ETERNAL INFINITE is the type of novel you'll read late into the night, but wished you didn't.

Angles, devils, and psychic powers all come into play in this fantastic start to a series. A uniquely imaginative plot pits a mystifying group of people against a mad doctor-scientist. The 'Infinītes' possess the secret to eternal life. Likened to the inmates of Nazi war camps, they are used for medical experimentation. The protagonist, Saidi Nosretsek, awakes from a coma to be confronted with the brutal plight of her people. The tale is deeper than the ordinary fantasy/paranormal fiction. It delves into spirituality and humanity, as we consider events that echo what we know of our own history— that of mankind.

Eternal Infinīte is a real page-turner. The story will take you on a magical, mind-bending ride you'll think about long after you've finished the book. Truly a remarkable read worthy of FIVE stars!

The author recommended I read this about a year ago. It got shuffled around on my tablet and I forgot about it. I apologize for the lateness of my review, but you were right about the book. This is a very involved paranormal book. By very involved I mean well written and almost 600 pages. If you like the paranormal and the long reads, I recommend this book to you.

I got this book from the author, free of cost, in exchange of an honest review from my side.
Firstly I would like to thank the author for giving me this opportunity of reading and reviewing this book.
Well, I loved the concept because it’s unique and the story line is also great. I liked the execution of the concept but the pace was a bit slow for my taste.
The characters are great and well developed and we got to see the various colours of their personality which impressed me very much.
There is action, mystery, suspense and minor twists and turns here and there but at sometimes the story became predictable for me which dimmed my excitement a little. I liked the writing style of the author and it helped me to connect with the story and didn’t confuse me.
Overall a good story and it deserves a shot. So go for it guys and enjoy!!!

People are stolen.
A woman, entombed in a coma, emits an abrosia odor.
She has seen the Eternal, and no one can live after seeing the visage. So her memories are taken from her.

“My name is Paquel. I am your Angel sent by ‘The Eternal’
to inform you and direct you to Him, to make known your path that
you should walk, in order to find more secrets from Him. Stand still
and listen. Record in your mind this command that I will only say
once, so listen well.”
Saidi did just that as she gave ear and heard the truth in
Paquel’s voice.
“Before you came to this region you met the Eternal face to
face, and nobody can look upon the Eternal and live to tell about it.
He had to take your memory so you would not die from the
recollection. He also removed your memory for a purpose. He has a
grand plan for you. Though you must trust His layout. It’s precise.
You will have a healing without scars."

The King takes a special interest in her.
What is her purpose? Why is she here? What was so important that the Eternal wished to see her?
These are all questions that drive the reader through the second half of Pam's new novel.
