Love at the Crossroads #2

A Baby for Christmas

Rate this book
Yes, diamonds are a girl's best friend, but unless the jewel is going on Solae Wyatt-Palmer's ring finger, they hold little value to her.
When she meets Fire Captain Hershel Kavanaugh, their magnetism is undeniable and there’s no doubt that it’s love at first sight.
Since Solae adores Hershel’s two boys from his failed marriage, she wouldn’t blink at the chance to become a mother to them. But when it seems as if Hershel doesn’t have a proposal on his agenda, she has no choice but to cut her loses and move on.
But Christmas is coming. And in order to win Solae back, Hershel must resolve some past issues before convincing her that she possesses everything he wants.

Just Give it to God

I love how this story shows how you cannot give up your faith in believing God for what you are praying for. Most times we miss the blessings that God has for us because of impatience. Just like the two main characters in this story Hershel and Solae. The choices we make will cause us to do opposite of what God will has for us and because our stubbornness we miss out and things go wrong. We start losing faith instead of praying and standing on God's Word. This storyline shows what can happen in a relationship and cause unnecessarily heartaches and pain. Thank God for his grace and mercy, he can take a bad situation and turn it around for his good.
I love this author's writing. I always find inspiration for God's Word while reading her book.

Sighhs

This book had it's highs and lows. I enjoyed the reinforcement using scriptures. However I did not like the desperation of the lead character nor the nosiness of the supporting characters. I hoped I would enjoy it more bc it is part of a series but I don't think I will read the other books.

Faith multiplied!

What a faith filled story, romance, love, prayers and God's Word! This author surprises me with each of her writing. "Stopping Traffic", the first book of the series was great and this story builds on that story.

I enjoy reading the author's writing because I get a warm and renewed Spirit!

Another phenomenal romance…I really enjoyed this read it was amazing. Even though for a little while I didn’t know if Solae and Herschel’s love story would have a HEA but I’m so glad Gpd worked things out for the both of them,. I’m really enjoying this series the stories are so uplifting and I love the use of scripture throughout the book. Next up book 3

Good read

I love the way the author writes. I thought Solae should have walked away long ago as he was definitely stringing her along. The baby was a super blessing! I definitely did not expect the car accident, but everything worked out in the end.

When I purchased "A Baby For Christmas" by Pat Simmons, I realized it was a part of a series. I wanted to read this series in order so I purchased Stopping Traffic, the first book.

A Baby For Christmas was another wonderfully written Christian romance. The story and characters were realistic and fitting to everyday life experiences. A very touching and godly inspired book for the whole family. Please read the first book because it will give you a brief backstory of how they met. This book also includes an introduction to Book 3. I am really looking forward to reading it.

The Amazing Pat Simmons hit it out of the ball park with another awesome Christian romance. Solae Wyatt-Palmer has been dating Fire Captain Hershel Kavanaugh for a little while, but when issues in his past keep him from proposing another year, will she stick around or will she cut her losses. A Phenomenal love story.

Happy ending

I enjoyed this story. We all have things from our past that we have to get over to receive God's blessings that He has for us. Solar and Hershel both had obstacles to overcome and they relied on godly friends and prayer to support them. I enjoyed the scripture throughout the novel.
