This book is excellent for helping people to recover from toxic chemical induced autoimmune disorders. He writes about the EI Clinic at Atlanta and I only knew about the one at Dallas. You can read about it online if you use google. I have been told that I have 6 autoimmune disorders so this is an excellent book for me. Very glad I purchased a copy.

First and foremost, this author is questionable. His history is less than desirable and it made me question the information in the book. He also heavily pushes his now closed medical center.

The first thing that put a bad taste in my mouth was the inclusion of autism as an autoimmune disease. Autism is not a disease. Not only was I completely frustrated by the inclusion of autism in the book, but it also says nothing about it on the cover or in the synopsis. I would never have purchased it to begin with if I had known about that.

I purchased this book for the information on SLE. As some other reviews have said, most of this information is available online now. I know this book was published 18 years ago, but the information itself isn’t all that amazing. There are other books that have a lot more to say.

He recommends treatments that are down right excessive and not always necessary. Treatments that can sometimes cause more harm than good.

I don’t recommend this book.

While there is some good information on the basic function of our immune systems, I don't feel the authors added any new information to the theory of autoimmune disorders. I also felt that the regime of treatment was a little extreme also. It is disheartening to learn that the main author Stephen B Edelson had some rather disturbing court cases against him and has since closed his facilities.

I thought the title of this book was misleading. As far as RA goes I don't think there is anything in here that couldn't easily be found online.

I think the book is pretty informative. I disagreed with the demonizing of tropical saturated fats (i.e., coconut oil) and especially disagreed with touting grains as healthy, but it was a good read despite that.

This book is very informative and really does have a lot of info that the doctors dont tell you. I learned a lot about Lupus that I will talk with the doctor about. Good informative book.
