ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! <3

I read this in beta and OMG. It was terrific. If you have been following Drake & Chloe's story in Torn & Twisted then you will love reading the conclusion. It starts off during the months that Drake & Chloe are apart. And then continues as he goes to win her back. This is a highly emotional read. I cried and held my breath so many times. I was so totally pleased by this book. I just know that fans of Drake & Chloe are gonna flip over it! <3

3.5 DRAKE STARS

Tainted is the final book in Torn series. Reminiscing Torn, I adored Drake too much and had a love-hate relationship with Chloe. Then came Twisted, we saw them struggle. And Tainted gives a perfect sweet ending.

Drake and Chloe as a couple learn together what is forgiveness, fighting their demons and staying in love.

DRAKE IS

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stars!

Way a great way to end a superb series! I love Drake and Chloe's story, yes it started out rough but that happens with this thing called life. I loved how she split this story into 3 parts, and told the story from Drake's POV from when he was using. It helps you get a better feel for the way he was and why he did it. Even though K.A. made my heart hurt from reading what he went through, I'm glad to know how his recovery went.

Part 2 was Chloe's story on how to deal with Drake's past and his drug abuse. Chloe is one tough cookie, and the love they share is just beautiful.

And part 3 was a little piece of their future and let me tell you, it was fantastic!! I don't want to give away any details because you need to read it for yourself.

I will read anything K.A. Robinson writes!

I love what K.A. Robinson did with this book. If you have ever wondered what happen while Chloe and Drake were broken up then you will love this final book! You see what Drake went through while he was on his summer tour after Chloe left him on the bus. It was so well written it gave me chills. Drake suffered as much if not more then Chloe did while they were part. Then to see what they went through while trying to repair their broken relationship. It takes a lot on both of their parts to mend the broken pieces of the relationship. But there is so much love between them. They are not just boyfriend/girlfriend, they are best friends, lovers and soul mates. As I read Torn and then Twisted I fell in love with this couple and to see their story all the way to the end... WOW! This book is not just a POV from Drake or even Chloe this book answers every question you would have had!! Thank you K.A. Robinson for a WONDERFUL end to Drake and Chloe's story and I can't wait to read about Logan!! 4.5 Stars

I have to admit when I had Tainted in my hands I was torn between....

and ......

because this is the last book for Drake & Chloe not saying we may or may not see them in the future but as far as them being the focus of the book this was it. I was sad to say goodbye to them and I sure hope we get little glimpses of them in the future!

I honestly was surprised to see the third book was about them. I thought the Twisted was it given the Epilogue but the author gives us the in between period that wasn't revealed in Twisted.

The book is broken into 3 parts consisting kicking off with Drake's POV during the 6 months following all hell breaking lose. If you read the series it was the time frame where I seriously wanted to.....

Drake! We were treated with Chloe's POV following what occurred PRIOR to the Epilogue in Twisted and finally we have Drake's POV after the Epilogue from Twisted....

When we enter the first part of Drake's POV things are just .......

Oh hell the issues that he needed to face and he truly needed to face them alone but don't you have to admit to them first? Well, I could very well sit here and said I .....

and wanted to beat Drake but you know what I didn't. I think the author did a great job describing the issues. We've known from the get go that Drake has never been "vocal" per se or completely opened up. He was damn good at.....

rather than face his problems head on. Chloe made her position on these problems very clear in Twisted and Tainted opens with that scene but from Drake's eyes and I had to .....

Chloe on for taking a stand and STICKING to it! We got to watch the band get the big break we all of us have wanted and they were truly on their way to being .....

Yes that was great! I also loved that Jade, Eric and Adam finally just layed everything on the line for Drake but of course it ultimately took him......

before he followed through. When you read it from Drake's POV and see everything he kept bottled up for so long you will be like I was....

How one person could keep that all to themselves for all that time is astounding but then again Drake is a MAN and we all know when it comes to men......

I loved the way Chloe's POV was presented and how she handled things and of course them coming together......

was like a ......

There is one part in all this where I was ........

When I got done I had to do my typical ...

I knew what their ending was from the Epilogue of Twisted but Tainted gave me further insight and a way sweeter Epilogue and I was totally..

Overall Tainted was a 4 star read for me. I'm glad I got to see the "behind the scenes" portions of Twisted and how everything ended up for Drake & Chloe. If you've read Torn & Twisted then you have to read TAINTED now.

If you haven't read this series I recommend you do so Torn was by far my favorite of the series followed by Twisted. Tainted was a good read but it didn't pull the emotions out of me the first two did and I think that's due to the Epilogue of Twisted.

I'm really looking forward to Logan's book I've really liked him all along (although Drake was ALWAYS my favorite between them). I will continue reading any books that spin off from this series. There are so many awesome secondary characters that I would love for the author to delve further into!

I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review with this being said I also purchased the book!

3.5 STARS!
I had a lot to catch up on with this series so had to go back to TORN to start from the beginning and boy am I glad I did! K.A. Robinson is a new author to me and I will undoubtedly read more from her in the future.

I enjoyed this series - it was a quick read going through all three books in three days. What's not to like when you have young love thrown in with a love triangle here and there, a troubled rock star with an all consuming love for the sweet girl next door. That combined with a mother from hell and a very supportive secondary cast of characters gives you a fun and entertaining though at times frustrating read.

Speaking about the series as a whole there were many things that I loved and some things that fell short for me. I know that this is a tour focusing on Tainted but here are my thoughts for the entire series....

The series was written well and very entertaining and very true to young love in college with young adults still growing and maturing and trying to find their place in the world. The author did a great job painting this aspect of the story and I was there with them reliving my college days!

I LOVED Drake in book 1, he was protective, caring and funny. I could see and feel why Chloe would fall head over heels for him. But as the series continued into book 2, the character I had come to love did a total 360. Yes circumstances caused this downward spiral but I felt that with more communication that this could have been remedied right away. In Tainted, I wanted to see more fight coming from Drake, the strength that he exhibited in book 1, wasn't quite there and I felt that he kind of just gave up. However, he redeemed himself to me as the book continued, when after a near death experience, he comes to the realization of what was important to him in his life - mainly the woman of his dreams and his life and future. Watching that inner strength return allowed me to breath a sense of relief because I wanted the Sweet Drake from Torn to return and boy did he!

I liked and didn't like Chloe throughout this series. I appreciated that Chloe had a tough life growing up and because of this I felt that she lacked inner confidence and strength. Yes there were choices in love that she had to make early on in the series that frustrated me at times because I felt that she couldn't make up her mind. I understand young love and how we can sometimes fall fast and hard and we can be so indecisive. But as the issues with Drake progressed and her heart broke so many times, I felt that Chloe couldn't hold strong and true to her decisions of trying to stay away from him to protect her heart - I felt that she always gave in to him and never let him work for it. I wanted her to be stronger...I wanted her to be tough! Thankfully we saw this more in Tainted and I was so so happy! I realize that as we grow, we mature more and I was happy to see this of Chloe in the last book.

I have to say that I did like Logan...like a lot! It was so obvious from the get go that he felt something more for Chloe and that she didn't reciprocate. I felt that all he wanted was to protect her, love her and take care of her. So I do feel that he was a little unfairly made to look like the bad guy so that it would eventually be ok for Drake and Chloe to be together. I hope that the author goes back to this character as I would like to see a happy for him.

I will say that out of all three books, Tainted was my favorite. I am also a sucker for a happy ending. I enjoyed how it was structured and hearing the different points of view at key points in their lives. The ending melted my heart, it made me so happy to see everything conclude as it should for this couple.

I think K.A. tells a good story - I look forward to reading more from her.

4.5 stars!

I was really excited to read this book! I loved the other books in this series and I couldn't wait to see what happened to Chloe and Drake next! This book was different to what I was expecting because it actually goes back in time to scenes in the second book and then it goes into the future! The first half of the book went back in time, the next 40% went six months into the future and then the last 10% went seven years into the future! I haven't actually read a book like this one before with being split into different parts, so it was a new experience for me! I liked it though! I originally gave this book 4 stars to start with, but then I bumped it up to 4.5 stars because I felt that 4 stars didn't do this book justice! It really was amazing! I enjoyed the whole idea of this book being split into three different sections, but I didn't enjoy the first half as much as the second half! The plot of the first half was highly effective and I understood it as I had already read some of the scenes through Chloe's eyes! I loved getting to experience them through Drake's eyes too though as he was a pivotal character in these scenes! The six months into the future scenes showed Chloe and Drake adjust to being back together and Chloe adjusting to Drake's growing career, but the last seven years into the future scenes made me squeal! The scenes were perfection and showed that Chloe and Drake's love really could withstand anything! The characters were again amazing! Chloe was again the main female character, but she wasn't in the first half of this book that much, as it was told during a time she wasn't there! When she was in this book though, she was just as amazing as what she was in the first two books! She was there for Drake and she grew to accept him for his career choice, even though she was scared of what was going to happen with it! I also loved that Chloe gave Drake his space and left the ball in his court with their relationship and if it was going to continue! She had also grown tremendously from the first book in this series as well! I just adored her! Drake was again the main male character and in this book, I got to go inside Drake's head and see how he felt and what he was experiencing when he was away from Chloe in the second book in this series, Twisted! It was such an experience going inside his head during his drug addiction, but it was also amazing seeing him battling his demons to get better! I also adored that it was his ultimate love for Chloe that got him through! Going into the future in this book also showed how far Drake had come! It showed that he was a lot stronger than he thought he was and it showed him that he didn't need to take drugs ever again to get him through! I'm really sad that Chloe and Drake's story is over, but what a story is has been! I'm also super excited that another character in this book, Logan, is getting his own book! I can't wait to read it and I'll definitely be anticipating its release! The cover for this book is so hot! Like seriously, can it get any hotter?! I think not! Big thank you to K.A. Robinson for an ARC of Tainted and to TheSubClubBooks for having me on the Blog Tour!

I'm so sad that Drake and Chloe's story has come to an end. i miss Drake already. But it was time and all good things must come to an end.
Drake was every bit as delicious in this book as he was in Torn and Twisted. However, this time K.A. gave us more insight into who Drake truly was beyond the hottie rock star. We really got to see some vulnerable moments with Drake.
Chloe- I love this girl. She was so strong. it was great to read about her and not want to slam my head against the wall because she was a whiny B**CH. She proved to be independent, strong, loving and sweet. She was never immature in Torn or Twisted but in Tainted she still did some growing and maturing. I also love that the chemistry between her and Drake didn't waver. I'm also glad that K.A. did not involve other characters for the sake of bringing in other characters and turning the book into a daytime drama or Jerry Springer episode.
Tainted was a great way to end Drake and Chloe's story. The only thing that poked at me is I found a few scenes in the story that were rushed or missing something. I guess I am of the thought that if you took the time to mention it in the story, do not just do it in passing. This was the case involving Drake and his manager in regards to Chloe. This isn't to say that the flow of the story was altered or impacted negatively, it was more you were left with the question of-- "So what did the manager have to say about that?" Which I think the manager would have been quite vocal about it. Just my opinion though. There were also a couple of spots where i would have liked to have "heard" more from Drake and what he was feeling or thinking. They were some pretty vulnerable and intense moments and given Drake's personality, I think he would have had more intense reactions as well. it is those parts that make this a 4 star over a 5 star for me.
I enjoyed how the story was broken up into 3 parts- it was how Drake evolved and changed too. Trifold.
Part 1: shows us Drake's vulnerable and selfish side. There are things he must come to terms with and understand. There are things he must do on his own.
Part 2: shows us how Chloe and Drake relearn how to love each other so that they can completely trust and give themselves to one another, not just physically.
Part 3: shows us how Drake and Chloe have changed and how they have come to realize how their love is something worth holding on to and worth working on.
Overall, Tainted is a great read and definitely worth finding out what happens to Drake and Chloe.
I'm hoping K.A. does a spin off or maybe we will get Logan's or even Amber's story in another book.
This is an easy read with lots of laughs, angst, love and schmexy. D 4/5

Just when I thought this couples story couldn't get any better! I'll admit after the ending of book 2 I was a little like 'huh'! Cause it just ended so I was so happy when this one finally came out!

Chloe ~ I still love her so much! She is one of my favorite female MC's! She tries hard to hold back to work things out and talk about everything that needs talking! But who can hold off for long when Drake is your finance! She is thrown into the world of Rock Stars and isn't sure of what to do and how to handle it! But she does the best she can and with the exception of Brad she deals with it well!

Drake ~ I knew from the previous books he had his own demons, but I didn't realize how many and how they affected him! When he does finally wake up from his stupor of cocaine, he realizes just how bad he is and the consequences of the decisions he has made! The way he slowly gains Chloe's trust back is speaking volumes of his character! He could have so easily just threw his hands up and say 'Fuck it!' But instead he keeps pushing forward till he reaches his goal!

Overall this was the perfect ending to Drake & Chloe! I so recommend plus Torn & Twisted too!

Till next time ~ Sweets Books

This book was uniquely organized to cover various points of view and timelines to conclude Drake and Chloe's story. This review may contain spoilers for the first two books Torn and Twisted.

Part One: Facing My Demons. This is Drake's point of view in the six month period from the time Chloe found out he was using drugs and left him, up until they reconciled in Twisted. Although we have seen this confrontation and the after effects from Chloe's point of view, now we get to see Drake's thoughts and feelings as he spirals out of control, loses Chloe, almost loses his band, and his music career. He is in denial of the significance of his issues and just how badly he is screwing up his life. We see his pain, loneliness, fear, and desperation as he spins farther and farther out of control. And also see the events that finally led him to begin to face his problems, change, and work towards healing so that he could fight to win Chloe back.

"Chloe, drugs, and women are the only things I know. I can't go without having at least one of them."

I won't lie, Drake frustrated me in Twisted as he sunk into this dark period and it did not change for me in his point of view. I just wanted to shake sense into him so many times. He disappointed me, angered me, broke my heart, but then also made me want to hug him and stand by him. The author did a good job showing how his thought processes were skewed and how he was trying to do better in his own way, but then would fail and the cycle would start over. I loved seeing how the band tried to support Drake with tough love. But ultimately it had to be Drake's decision to take back control of his life.

What was I doing? How had I become this person? I hated myself for being weak. I was better than this.

Part Two: Learning to Love Again. This is in Chloe's point of view and three months after reconciliation. Chloe has to learn to trust Drake all over again. As they are on a road trip, they slowly uncover their secrets, fears, and promises for their new beginning. They still have challenges, but are working together to build a new life. I loved seeing the Drake we fell in love with in the other books. The man who could be vulnerable, sweet, protective, and caring. This is a man given a second chance and he is savoring it. And Chloe has really grown on me as this series has progressed. She has matured and figured out what she can and cannot live without. This couple has been through so much drama and emotional turmoil and they are still dealing with the fall out, but they are trying to mend their relationship, heal, and move forward. There were some really tender and emotional moments during this part that made me smile and tear up.

"I'm so lost, Chloe. I think I always have been."
"I'll help you find your way. You are such an incredible person, and that shines through even when you try to hide it. None of us are perfect, and we never will be."

Part Three: New Beginnings (Extended epilogue): All I will say about this is that I loved seeing farther into the future...and having more of Drake's point of view.

I really enjoyed the way she organized this into three parts. It allowed us to get the full story that covered various time periods, fill in some gaps from Twisted with more detail, and get to see farther ahead with this couple. It made me anxious, tense, angry, annoyed, swoon, and smile. This one was not as angsty as the others, but probably because we already knew the outcome and knew eventually it was going to work out. So it was easier to hold on and have faith. And it was not about love triangles and extraneous drama, but more personal growth and healing. But it still had pain, despair, heartbreak, anger, but was tempered by love, humor, romance, and hope. It was a wonderful conclusion to their story and it brought it all together. I enjoyed spending more time with secondary characters: her friends Amber and Logan, and his band Adam, Jade, and Eric. Even though this was the end of Drake and Chloe's trilogy, I am looking forward to more books with the side characters and hope that maybe we will still see a little more of Chloe and Drake popping up. The next book is set to be about Chloe's friend, Logan.

Thanks to KA Robinson for providing me with an arc in exchange for an honest review. Will be posted at Reviews by Tammy and Kim.

When I first met Drake in Book One – Torn, I was pulled to him just like Chloe. He is the ultimate tattooed bad boy; the one everyone tells you to stay away from because he only wants one thing. Drake is exactly that man until he gets to know Chloe; then, it is all about her. With his addictive personality, Drake becomes obsessed with her; he knows he wants more with Chloe, but he doesn’t know if it can happen without him hurting her.

Fast forward a bit and in Twisted, Chloe and Drake’s solid relationship is short lived. For most of the book, they are not together because Drake is touring with his band and Chloe is staying with her cousin. While they are apart, there are many half-truths and straight out lies that threaten to destroy what they have. Ultimately, it’s Drake’s addiction that tears them apart and leaves Chloe facing memories of her past with her mother. Chloe does what she has to by leaving Drake, and she spends many months trying to mend her broken heart. After Drake gets clean, he finds her and wins her back and readers get an epilogue of their life six years later.

But what happened after Chloe left Drake with her ultimatum? How did he ultimately get clean and make his way back to her? How did they work through the pain of their past? These were the questions I was left with after finishing Twisted…I wanted to hear Drake’s side and understand his choices. Thankfully, K.A. Robinson offered me the chance with Tainted.

Tainted is divided into three sections. Each section offers readers new insight into the time Chloe and Drake spent apart as well as what happened after their reunion.

In Part One: Facing My Demons, readers get an up close look at what Drake’s drug abuse does to his friends and to his mind and body. After Chloe leaves, Drake’s drug use worsens. He tries to shut off his mind and his emotions by being in a constant high, which ends up almost costing him his life. As Drake works through his demons, we get insight into what caused his drug abuse in the first place.

I have to admit, I didn’t like Drake in Twisted. His jealousy and rage left me wondering why Chloe even tried to stay with him. After reading this section of Tainted, it became clearer as to why he made the choices he did – when Drake’s control is gone, he seeks comfort with things or people that allow him to shut down and not think for a while. I still don’t understand why he wasn’t willing to give up cocaine for the girl he loved, but his decisions made more sense to me through this section.

Part Two: Learning to Love Again: in part two, readers get Chloe’s point of view as she moves forward with Drake by moving to Los Angeles. This section is all about healing each other and recommitting themselves to a solid relationship. Their cross country adventure allows them to reconnect and accept their pasts. Their “healing in reverse” works for Chloe and Drake, and despite a few bumps in the road, they’re in it until the end.

In Part Three: New Beginnings, readers are fast forwarded seven years. Drake is closing out another tour, and Chloe is ready to give birth to their child, opening a new chapter in their lives.

I really enjoyed gaining further insight into Chloe and Drake’s relationship. Tainted allowed me to hear Drake’s side of the story about the drug use and witness the steps he took to get clean. It did seem a bit quick for Chloe to accept Drake’s marriage proposal without working through their problems first, but I guess they never took anything slowly. I would have liked to have seen more about how Drake’s band made it big and how Chloe handled it all – that was such a big concern for Chloe. I needed to witness them grow as a couple and make it work despite all of the outside distractions. But, I did get my happily ever after, and for me, that was a must. I guess I just wanted to see how they got there a bit more. Overall, the Torn series is a must read for those who love angst, steam, love triangles, and a hea for the hero and heroine. I can’t wait to see who else in the Torn cast of characters gets his/her own story.

Tainted
By - K.A. Robinson
I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Tainted is book 3 in The Torn Series and the continuation of Drake and Chloe's story. Tainted fills in a lot of the blanks that were skipped over in Twisted. Tainted starts out being told in Drake's POV. Chloe has known for awhile something was off with Drake but she didn't know what until she found the bag of cocaine. And she made him choose between her and his drugs.
"...Either you get your shit together or I'm walking out the door right now, and I won't be back..."
"...I can't do rehab. Just let me do this on my own. Please..."
Drake struggles only get worse after Chloe leaves him. And the pressures of a record deal on top of losing her pushes Drake to turn deeper into the drugs until he overdoses. Drake is left with the choice to lose everything or get clean.
"...I need help..."
"... I thought we'd lost you. This has to stop Drake..."
Drake spends 2 months in rehab getting clean and another month making sure he can cope with life before going after Chloe. He has to not only prove that he is clean but he has to try to win her back.
"...Please, Chloe. I love you. I want to spend every second of my life with you from now until the day I die. I can't live without you..."
"...I do want to be with you. There's no way I can deny that now..."
Part 2 of Tainted is told from Chloe's POV. She is leaving her life behind in WV to start her life together with Drake in L.A. Drake decides to make the trip a road trip so they can have alone time together before they meet up with the band in L.A. Along the drive they decide to take things slow and work through their issues.
"...How do we heal?..."
"...Together. We heal together..."
The move to L.A is not an easy one for Chloe. Although they spend every moment together they can Drake is very busy with getting his album ready to release and his tour set up. After about a month Chloe finally gets a chance to go to work with Drake. But while Drake is in the recording studio, Chloe is left with the boss who puts doubts about her going on the tour in her head and Drake has to convince her otherwise.
"...Your presence will be nothing more than a hindrance to the entire tour..."
"...I don't want to destroy your career..."
"...Chloe when it comes music or you, I will always choose you..."
A week before they are to leave to go on tour Drake decides he needs a break from everything. He plans for them. To spend a week back in WV before the tour but also to surprise Chloe with a wedding at their spot on Cheat Lake.
"...No matter how long I live, I'll never be able to tell you that I love you enough times..."
"...I'm grateful for every day I've spent with you and for every day that I will spend with you..."
Part 3 goes back to Drake's POV and takes place 7 years later. He is wrapping up the last concert of the tour in Las Vegas, while a very pregnant Chloe is at home. At the end of the show Drake finds out Chloe has went into labor and he must fly 4 hrs then drive another 2 to get to her just in time to welcome their baby into this world.
"...Shh...you can do it. I'm right here with you..."
I really enjoyed this book. I am glad K.A Robinson took the time to allow us to see a little more into Drake and Chloe's lives. From the dark times, to their very precious moments, and a look at their happily ever after. I give this book a Nerd Alert A or 4.5 stars!

Beautiful conclusion to Chloe & Drake's story...review to come on 2/3 with my tour date.

**FULL REVIEW**

“Chloe, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean for it to happen.” “That’s a lie. If you didn’t want it to happen, you wouldn’t have started using to begin with. You’ve gone years without using. I thought you were done with this shit.”

Losing the one person you thought would always be there is a tough pill to swallow…or line to snort as the case may be. Drake has spiraled out of control, despite his constant reassurance to his bandmates and Chloe. When she finally catches him more or less red handed, it pushes her past the edge, and with her past, there is no way Chloe can watch another person she loves hit rock bottom.

“Knowing that I’d lost Chloe sent me spiraling further and further into the darkness now consuming me.”
***
“It wasn’t fair. No matter where I was or what I was doing, she was always there. Every single thing I saw reminded me of her.”
***
“Maybe if she’d stuck by me, I’d be clean by now. Yeah, I knew I would be. It was all her fault that I was still trapped in this hell. If she’d really cared, she would have stayed to make sure I was okay. Instead, she’d left me behind without a second thought. She didn’t care about me. The only person she cared about was herself.”

Drake has to find a way to pull himself up because everyone he cares about it done, and now it’s affecting his career, not to mention his bandmates. There is more than just him to think about…which is probably the hardest thing for an addict to admit. It’s not just about Drake. Time to get with the program; especially if he has any hope of continuing to not only do what he loves but to get back the one person he loves most.

“My heart stopped. So, he had overdosed after all. All of those nights I’d spent awake, worrying about whether or not he was okay, were justified. He’s almost died. I’d almost lost the only person I ever loved, my soul mate.”

Chloe’s need for self-preservation kicks in full throttle when she finds out Drake is using and she does the only thing she can do in order to save herself and possibly even him. She leaves. And every day she struggles with the worry and stress of that loss…but never did she imagine that it could all end.

When the reality of the situation hits both Drake and Chloe, the only thing they can do is hold on to one another. After all, they are the other half to each other, soul mates.

“I tried to live life and forget about you, but I couldn’t. I looked for you in every face that passed by me. I was like an addict, too, and you were my drug.” He smiled. “I’m okay with you being addicted to me.” “I’m sure you are. I just…I don’t know where to go from here. How do we heal?” “Together. We heal together. The rest will fall into place.”

And so they lived happily ever after….

As happy as two very dysfunctional people can anyway. They are happy. And this was a great ending to their story. I enjoyed every page and was happy to feel like I got both sides with Drake’s POV during the time he and Chloe were apart. K.A. has a knack for pulling you into the story and holding you hostage with her words. I look forward to more in the Torn Series.

I read Torn and Twisted and now Tainted in quick succession. I have to say Tainted for me was the stronger book out of the trilogy, the stark reality of addiction stripped back to its core showing the true devastation on relationships all around the addict in its wake. I did enjoy the first two books, but Tainted was exceptional. I like the way it was broken into three parts and covers the intensity of Drake’s mood swings in and out of rehab between Chloe walking away from him in disgust and reconnecting with her when he was clean.

You can really feel the drugs gripping hold of his willpower and affecting his behaviour patterns. The classic defensive attitude and denial that anything was wrong.

Rage filled me at the comparison to her mother. ’I'm nothing like her. I would never hurt you like that!

‘You already did, Drake. You’ve been lying to me this entire time. And don’t even get me started on your anger issues. I won’t do it again. I want you to get help.’

~~~
‘I’m not going to rehab, Chloe! You’re overreacting to all of this!’ I shouted, finally losing my temper. There was no way I was going back to rehab. Besides, I had it under control.
~~~

I felt rage fill me as I watched another man comfort her. She was mine, yet I was the one causing her pain. It shouldn’t be Eric holding her, it should’ve been me. How could things have gotten so fucked-up so quickly?

~~~
With each passing day, the reality of my situation sank in. I’d lost her. With that reality closing in on me from all sides, I started using more. Her leaving had the opposite effect of what she’d hoped for. Her absence was pushing me to use more.
The old adage, when you hit rock bottom, the only way is up.
Part of me was fighting this with everything it had, but the other part was on its knees, begging and pleading with me to cave. All of the feelings – the guilt, the anger, the pain – that I’d suppressed with the cocaine were coming to the surface. I couldn’t help but be depressed. Without the cocaine to make me feel like everythings was going to be okay, I realized just how fucked-up my life was.
~~~

You have to accept your past before you can move towards your future.

Drake’s progress is very palpable through the scenes during their time apart and when they initially get back together. I am a sucker for epilogues, and this left me with a definite ahh moment.

As I stared down at my wife and [spoiler removed], I knew that my life was now complete. I had everything that I could ever want. Chole and I had finally found our happily ever after.

If you've read any of the Torn series by K. A. Robinson, then you know the story of Chloe and Drake. And while their story probably could have ended where it did at the end of book two, the author gives us just a little bit more to show us what Drake and Chloe went through to get to that epilogue at the end of TWISTED.

Broken up into three parts. In part one we get Drake's POV as he deals with the fallout from his addiction and the steps he takes to overcome them. It's not an easy fight and it's one that Drake struggles with for half the book. But we do finally get to the root cause for Drake's addiction and see the light at the end of the tunnel when he finally recognizes that too. It's by no means an easy road for Drake, he knows what his prize is if he does overcome all of this. So he fights. And it's a good fight that gets him back to a healthy place and forces him to grow up.

Part two is from Chloe's POV three months after she and Drake have gotten back together. She's finally moving with him to LA and it's during the road trip that Chloe asks the hard questions from Drake and is open to listening. She's knows he will face a daily battle with his addiction, but she knows he needs her complete faith in him. Where Chloe would have kept things to herself, she now voices her concerns, asks the hard questions and puts building their relationship in front of the very physical responses they had to each other before. And just like Drake, Chloe is forced to grow up a bit too.

The final part takes place several months after the epilogue, told in Drake's POV again. This is the HEA for Chloe and Drake as they start their family together. It was nice to see their devotion to one another and that they did take time for themselves before they started a family. But you could tell, just for this short part of the book, that they are settled and ready to take on this next challenge in their lives.

If you haven't read the Torn series, they you absolutely must before picking this one up. For those that have, it's a perfect ending for a couple that had a really rocky start, but managed to find a way to fight to make it work.

This was just what I needed to calm my nerves about there being no more Chloe and Drake after Twisted !!

I cannot even begin to explain how fulfilling this story was for me.

I love all things Twisted but the time gaps and Drake being out of the story for 6 months just drove me crazy , in a good way but still...

As much as I imagined Chloe suffering without Drake it really was nothing compared to what he went through before and during his rehab. The way it was written was great , I felt his pain and I really did want to wrap him up and cuddle him. To think of him as a 10 year old losing his parents was heart wrenching and more so knowing that he never really dealt with it brings more of an understanding to him as a person. He may be a cocky rock star but he just wants to be needed and loved and because he hadn't had that in so long he became addicted to anything that made him feel good.

I loved the road trip and thought it was such a great way to let them get back to where they needed to be. They were able to be with each other and talk and enjoy one another without the weight of the world. Again reading about Drake trying to deal with his parents death was very real and again brought tears to my eyes. It was great to see him come full circle , not completely healed but on the right track and knowing what to do for himself. Despite knowing how it would end I was still captivated by the details and wanting to know every little thing that led up to the end of Twisted.

So glad we got some more hot sex with Chloe and Drake !!

Loved the 7 years later section , without any spoilers it was classic maybe even predictable but it just totally fit the story of Chloe and Drake !!

As much as I will miss them I am so thrilled with their ending !
Cannot wait for Logan's story
And of course would love some Amber and Adam !!

Ya know, I really loved the first book. The second book was good, but I did not at all like that Drake did not trust Chloe and ran to drugs instead of talking to Chloe. It didn't seem like him at all from the first book, and I further felt the Drake in this third book never quite made it fully back to the lovable guy we initially met. I don't know, I liked the conclusion to their story, I just was underwhelmed with this book.

The dialog seemed generic or cheesy or contrived, it simply didn't seem at all to have a natural flow to it. So, I guess the delivery of the book just wasn't as fluid and believable as it could have been, IMO. I just didn't feel the connection I felt in book one. I mean, I normally hate love triangles and Ms Robinson had actually written a book where I wasn't mad at anyone about the triangle, it seemed incredibly real and plausible. Fast forward to book three and I am not feeling the real-ness of everything, it lacked depth, and it didn't work for me.

I do realize that indie authors (or all authors) put their heart and soul in their books, but I am finding some authors are charging a lot of money for books compared to what they did a year or so ago. This book is normally priced at $5, which seems quite expensive, to me. Then I noticed this book was only 154 pages long, and I am very glad I waited until this was on sale for $1.99. I have purchased a lot of really good indie books for $.99 or $1.99 that were much longer, so I guess the pricing and length of this was another underwhelming piece to this read.

I am certain fans of this series will enjoy seeing a conclusion for Drake and Chloe, and lots have really loved it based on the ratings, I just wasn't as impressed. Sorry.

If you've read Torn and Twisted, you might agree with me that this book needed to be written to satisfy us, the readers.

Without trying to rehash the synopsis. Everything you wanted to know regarding Drake and his daily doings since Chloe walked away and what pushed him to check into rehab can be found in Part one of this book.

I'm glad that Drake has a strong support system. Even though he is an orphan and really has no family other than his Uncle who is aboard. His bandmates has become his family and is always looking out for his best interest. Without them, I think he probably wouldn't be around. I'm glad that Drake came to terms with his addiction. It was heartwarming to know that he's willing to turn his life around and confront any demons he has and find closure where it's needed.

Part two walks us through Chloe's life with Drake in the public eye once she's accepted his invitation to go live with him in Hollywood.

I still like Chloe because she remains true to herself. She's still the strong willed person that she is. I was glad to see that she didn't let anyone pushed her around.

Although, her and Drake's relationship needed to be built on a solid foundation of trust and honesty, in the end they did find their HEA and it was simply just beautiful. Drake is once again on my "nice" list instead of my "naughty" list. He really redeemed himself. I know that together they can whether the storm because they built a solid foundation.

I'm looking forward to reading Logan's story. He holds a special place in my heart. A part of me wanted him and Chloe to end up together but Chloe and Drake are destined to be together. I hope that Logan will find his HEA as well.

It's absolutely NO secret that I'm a huge fan of K.A. Robinson's writings. But this book...THIS book was brilliant!

I LOVED that this book was divided into sections to give us the conclusion of Chloe and Drake's story, giving us the complete story of Chloe and Drake...including all the parts that we missed while they were apart. I loved that we were given the opportunity to see Drake's struggles with his drug addiction, his journey through rehab, and the depth of his love and faithfulness during the time that he and Chloe were apart during Twisted (Torn #2). It made me fall in love with Drake all over again.

Once Drake and Chloe were back in each other's lives, I can't tell you how much I appreciated that they didn't jump back into their relationship full force. They recognized there were a LOT of issues they needed to talk about and work through...AND THEY DID. It irritates the hell out of me when a couple splits up, gets back together, and just carries on like nothing was ever wrong with their relationship. HELLO?! YOU BROKE UP FOR A REASON! Each and every one of the issues that led to their MONTHS apart were addressed during a cross-country trip from West Virginia to Los Angeles. I loved watching them fight their physical attraction to one another while they worked things out...finally, a couple who gets that sex does NOT fix your relationship!

To avoid giving away any spoilers, let me just conclude by saying that K.A. Robinson wrapped up Drake and Chloe's epic story of love that could not and would not be denied perfectly.

4/5 hearts

I have really enjoyed these books, watching Chloe and Drakes story as it developed and the hurdles they have had to overcome. It has been an amazing ride and I am so glad that I have been a part of it!

In this final book we actually get to see exactly what Drake went through all those months with out Chloe. What was in his head and how he dealt with everything. I like when I get to see his POV because it gives me an insight into his head. His feelings and emotions. It was not pretty but that is life. It can get uncomfortable but its up to us to make the changes we need to be better people. Drake does just that to prove his love for Chloe. I am so glad. I suffered right along with her when everything went down in the last book. To actually see what he went through in this one tore me up. I love Drake and I am so glad he pulls his head out of his ass.

Can I tell you though the 3rd part of the book had me cringing. There were certain parts that I wanted to smack someone. I love how strong Chloe is. I love that Drake can always sense when she is lying. That makes it even more special because you know deep in your bones that this man loves this woman with every fiber of his being.

I cried when it ended. To watch a couple go through so much shit, I feel connected to them. I give K.A mad props for the ending. It left me sated and so satisfied. It was a hell of a journey but oh so worth it. Beautifully written and captured the moments to perfection. This is a story that will stay with me for months to come.

Manda's 4 Star Review:

What a great conclusion to this fantastic story. Tainted is an emotional journey through what happens after Chloe leaves Drake on the tour bus. Feeling lost without Chloe by his side, Drake falls further and further into his drug habit and hits rock bottom before being forced to face his demons. Knowing the only way back is to face everything he has kept buried, Drake is determined to stay clean and win back the woman he loves.

After having no choice but to leave the man she loves, Chloe is heartbroken. For months she waits for Drake to come for her, but as more time passes she begins to realize he isn't coming. Her friends try to get her to move on, but she struggles with the thought of moving on without him. Then he shows up at her door begging her to hear him out. Unable to turn him away, Chloe wants to take things slow and get to know one another all over again. Knowing the temptations being famous will bring, Chloe must learn to trust again, and Drake must earn that trust if they hope to start over.

I love this series and the characters K.A Robinson has created. She is an amazing writer, who has the ability to created amazing stories you can't put down. This is an amazing conclusion to a wonderful series. I hate when I get to the end of a series I love. I'm happy to know how it ends but sad to let the characters go. This is a great read and a fantastic series that I highly recommend! Fantastic job K.A Robinson you are awesome!

4.5 star review!

**ARC provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.**

I didn’t think that Chloe and Drake’s story could get any better, but I was proven wrong. Not only do we get to see the progression of their relationship in this book but we also get to see those 6 terrible months that they were apart in Twisted from Drake’s POV. I was filled with emotions. I was hurt and then I was happy again. The ending was pure bliss for me!

That insight into Drake’s time dealing with his illegal vices was the most eye-opening, heartbreaking and frustrating time for me. I was so determined to help him but knew that I physically couldn’t. When it comes to the characters that Kelly has created, I constantly believe that they are actually real. I may be borderline insane, but we can just blame Kelly for that because they are as real in book format as they are in my head. I’ll never be able to let go of Chloe and Drake.

I’m just a fangirl over Kelly’s books so it only seems fair that I go crazy over this addition to her published books. From her Torn series to her Ties series, I always anticipate the release of the next book in the series. Thankfully she is releasing Logan’s book next and I have this feeling that it is going to be AMAZING. I’m ready and waiting for my next fix!

Drake and Chloe, Chloe and Drake.... My oh my what a path you two have been on. I have been rooting for y'all since day one and I am so glad in this book you finally got it all figured out!

I love myself the mans perspective in reading books, not sure why but maybe after I have read so many books from the females perspective it is nice to get their side of the story and what a story it was... Not everything is love, flowers and rainbows and getting to go on that missing journey with Drake well we got to see just how unflowery things could be.

I will say this though even without the flowers I still would want myself a Drake of my very own. He was sexy, he was talented, he was broken but he was real. And in this book we got to see it all and I for one wouldn't change a thing.

Chloe has her own demons to fight in this book too but she and Drake are able to work through them together and get the happily ever after they finally deserve. (And so do we).

I am a sucker for a hot guy and a happy ending, so I won't tell you I am not pleased to be able to get both of those things from Tainted.

K.A. Robinson did a great job putting us right smack dab in the middle of it all, thank you, thank you, thank you for another great book, another few hours with a hot guy and another happily ever after... Now please help Logan!!!! I for one will be waiting.....

I don’t know if I have the right words for Tainted by K.A. Robinson. I read this book in one day. The behaviors and emotions that were expressed within the pages of this book were too real and some places hit too close to home.

“I think we’ve figured out where things went wrong with you. You never deal with any of your problems. You simply push them to the side and use drugs and sex to distract yourself. If we can teach you how to face things head-on, I think you will be able to go through life without the fear of relapse.”

Ohhhhhh, Drake. He could be the person you pass walking on the street, your co-worker, or your loved one. His journey, to put it best, is realistic. And, then there is Chloe. She is perfect example of someone who watches the love of their life self-destruct but realizes that she has to put herself first. Each of their individual steps apart are what leads them back to one another. Tainted is a wonderful reminder that we must truly love ourselves before we can love another, that even though we may want our loved one to change that we can not do it for them, and that if it is meant to be then it will be. Thank you K.A. for sharing your talent with the world!!

Thank fuck this book was written!!! I mean...could I have read Torn and Twisted and been okay? I guess....

But I'm soooo glad I didn't have to be. Tainted gives you insight into the missing pieces of Twisted and also takes you a little further into the future. Oh it'll hurt your heart all over again!!! But I'm a glutton for punishment and loved every moment. If you haven't started the Torn series, do that. When I hurt, I want others to hurt along with me. Thanks.

Okay, trying not to give anything away...

It happens in 3 parts that help you fill in the blanks. First from Drake's POV, then more from Chloe, and finally again from Drake several years later.

I feel like I got such wonderful closure...though I never really want any of it to end and I want to stay friends with everyone...(I might have a problem....)

You get a whole other ride of emotions and a more in depth view of what really happens. How they break and how they heal. And how they move forward. It's beautifully written, nothing is redundant, and it's so very worth picking up and reading the entire series for the first time, or all over again.

LOVED this one! Please make sure you've read the first two books before this one.

The author could have ended the series with just two books, but I am so very glad she didn't! In Tainted, she split the book into three parts - brilliantly done! The first part was all from Drake's point-of-view after he basically loses control and loses Chloe as a result. I really liked that we were able to see it all from his perspective. In Twisted I was left wondering "What the hell was he thinking, letting her just walk away?!?" Well, that is answered in this book. The second part picks up basically at the end of Twisted and tells the story of them reconnecting and starting to heal. Both of them have things from their past that they need to work through in order to move on. I was really glad to see Drake face things from his past and truly start to heal. In the third part you get to see where they go from there. Will they both be able to fully face their past and work through all of their insecurities? Will Drake's fame and the attention he receives tear them apart?

What a wonderful way to bring this series to a close! If you have been reading Chloe and Drake's story, you will love, love, love reading this book. You get to get inside Drake's head while he and Chloe were apart. It shows SO much about him and about how much he struggled. He was a mess, plain and simple. However, he was a redeemable mess and once he figured that out, he had so much life to live.

The second part is Drake and Chloe's reconnection. I love how real it is. It's not the typical "I screwed up" and then "It's fine, I forgive you and love you forever and ever". No, Drake and Chloe have a lot of work to do to heal and mend. They don't go into this reconnection blindly thinking that all is fixed just because Drake is clean. There are a lot of wounds that still need tending to.

The epilogue is perfect. Just perfect. It brings the whole story to the lovely conclusion that it should be. Awesome.

The first part of the book was Drake's struggle with drugs. I was not very fond of him during this time in "Twisted" and I honestly still was not fond of him after hearing his side. There was a lot more that he needed to work on then just quitting the drug's. Once he has that fight behind him he will have to go and fight for Chloe.

As for Chole's part of the book, she was afraid of getting hurt again. They tried to take it slow, and I thought they did pretty good, but their resolve did not last to long - then the hot sex scenes were back!! Now that they were moving forward Chloe had to make sure she was strong enough to handle Drake's life style.

Now I could have lived without the first 2 parts of the book, but the Epilogue was by far what made this book for me. I love love love hearing about a couples life down the road. I will not tell you anything about his part because it is short and sweet.

Drake and Chloe gave me an awesome journey with their story! I think it's genius to make this book into 3 parts - Drake's POV during their 6 month separation, the other 2 are a continuation of their story once they were back together. I love getting both characters' POV, and getting through Drake's was heart-wrenching, yet sweet at the same time. I'm glad the author didn't go for the typical rocker-getting -famous-hence- cheating- inevitable plot. For me, the strength of this series is the fact that despite their imperfections, they have this great love for each other, and I'm glad that it's still the same in this book. Oh, I just want to have Drake's baby!! How he loves Chloe and how firm and sure he is that she will always comes first is inspiring! K.A. Robinson, send me my own Drake, pretty please?
Looking forward to Logan's story! ( and Adam and Eric seem to have interesting stories to tell too!)
