I was expecting GLORY after hearing from every Muslim that I've ever spoken with how beautiful, majestic and poetic the Koran is, but this was actually BORING as all hell. Perhaps it's the translation, I don't know, but I'm definitely feeling let down haha. I didn't quite finish it all due to overwhelming boredom.

I was excited about reading it at face value and compiling a list along the way of all the things I would have to change in my life if I believed everything within the Koran at face value. I did not accomplish this little plan of mine however because it was so hard to get through all the mundane, trivial shit in the way. Why are gods always so long-winded!

This translation is good, but I unfortunately, takes too many liberties in what it includes in parenthesis. I'm a little skeptical of including interpretations of the translator in line with the actual text.

The most recommended translation of Quran as mentioned by various scholars

Easy language and nice links for footnotes. Some other details on compilation and science of Quranic understanding mentioned as well. Highly recommended if you want to understand Quran better (obviously if you don't know Arabic)

The translation was highly readable. The in-text [bracketed] notes were usually nonessential, including adding meaning that the text itself did not necessarily support. Interpretations in footnotes were at times suspect but frequently illuminating. I received what I sought: a better understanding of Islam and better acquaintance with the Quran.

Love it very beautiful and every word you cling onto as if is gold.

Love the beautiful teachings of the glorious Quran. It was very easy to follow and had the Arabic words easy translated.
