Here is my standard blurb for a book that I've read to my wife: Another book that I read to Diana. We can't do much anymore after her stroke, so I read to her to spend time together. Diana has always loved to have someone to read to her - and I like to do just that.

Widow with baby boy meets millionaire divorcee, falls in love despite, in my mind at least, show stopping issues. Diana seemed to feel the same way. I asked her how many stars, she said three.

This was a fantastic Contemporary Christian fiction book! Many locations and the baby's age brought back fond memories of first my childhood; then when I was a first time Mommy. Several issues were raised, debated, and finally resolved in this story. Themes of healing following tragedy to forgiveness following anger were inspirational and believable as well. I was able to read a copy of this book via Libby, but it did not in any way affect my review. All opinions are my own.

So enchanting

Love the story you created and wrote so well. I can't wait for the next one. Your books are always to my liking being a Norwegian person loving immigrant stories and later too.

Seemed a little too easy. Several references were made to how the two main characters could blend their life as they were so different. Then we read the epilogue and discover they are married with a second child. How did they work through those challenges? I felt the characters were developed and as the reader could clearly see the challenges as they themselves discovered them. I was disappointed that non of those questions were answered.

I like Lauraine Snelling's historical books much better than this one. This is a heartwarming story about forgiveness. I felt like the characters were a little flat, and the ending felt rushed. It wrapped up a little too perfectly.
