Destiny lies in your name. From the author of the successful mystery, A COLD WIND BLOWS, Stephen Craig presents the first book in The Cycle of Gareth, and with it begins the tale of an underdog that finds a way to turn the tables.'...a well-grounded short horror story'.'...a pleasure to read'.'Well planned and executed'.
' I found this story quite gripping. There were slight shades of 'Final Destination' within the tale but the only comparison I could draw there was death and the way the victims were despatched.
I am ex-Corporate (Thank God) and I truly identified with the first character and his disgust at the shallowness and non-loyalty and deceptions that so many HR and Corporate people employ to make or destroy people. I have seen it head-on, and truly empathised with that character.
It was a well-grounded short horror story that held my attention brilliantly. Writing horror is certainly not an easy genre, but work like this was a pleasure to read. And the end of the story somehow made me feel justified in enjoying the delicious revenge that death had wrought upon the vacuous executives of a company'.
I loved everything I read by Stephen Craig, his writing skills are quirky with usually a dark theme but the human quality that come through with the writing is just perfect.
