Maggie Henning has learned what she really is--the last of an ancient race of Phoenix. She knows who her enemy is--OSSA, the leader of the Revenant Army. She had thought the toughest battle fought. She only now is learning the road ahead is harder still.

In the hopes of returning a fallen Realm Prince, Maggie must barter with the Angels for his release. But the path to such a discussion is not an easy one. Traveling with one prince to save the other, Maggie soon learns that there is no black and white in the Realm. That the lines between good and evil, and love and hate, are at best blurry.

She will learn a dark secret hidden in the past. One that calls into question everything she thought she felt. Even as she tries to determine her fate, Luc also faces his own destiny. Does he reach for what the future promises, or does he deny what's so plainly there before him?

If the only pain is in denying destiny, do you give in to the agony, or do you burn with it?

I’ve been ranting and raving over the ending of this book for days now. I have emailed the author and told her that she is dumped, I have poured my rage out by pm to some of my other bookie friends and I have told hubbyman all about the atrocities of Phoenix Burning. Ok ok. I really did do all these things, but out of love. I have a new obsession. His name is Prince Luc of Celine...

I won’t tell you what this little piece of awesomeness is about, the description gives you a good idea, but I will tell you that this book rocked my socks! I was so caught up in this world with these incredible characters that I never wanted to leave.

I got to spend a lot of time with my new fiancé Luc, met a few new characters and got some more snippets involving Maggies mum. I grieved alongside of Maggie and watched her mind open to more possibilities than she ever imagined. I got to know Luc through alternating POV’s (Maggie & Luc) and I think that enriched this story more than words can say.

Lisa floored me again with the power of her descriptions. Ethereal. Wowz. Wanna know the real meaning of Ethereal? Read this book. The lake? Oh yes, Luc, please, take your clothes off and swim with me, you are filthy dirty. The Angel Realm had me completely engrossed and I never wanted to leave it. I wanted to stay hidden in the cave bantering with Luc about my camo panties for ever and ever.

The journey was chocablock full, and so many things happened. We visited Salem, found a secret diary belonging to Maggies mum, shared some soul searing kisses and attempted the impossible, discovered things so horrific that we could never have imagined possible and saw someone we love in a totally different light. It turns out not everyone is who we thought, and that was the hardest lesson to learn. Sacrifices were made and hearts were shattered. And oh my. The letter. *sniff* How could you Lisa?

The ending infuriated me and left me literally begging for more and stalking Lisa Morgan. I need more. Much more. I need to know that all will be right in the world, that Maggie can undo her biggest mistake. After she does that, she needs to set the king on fire. Really really hot fire. Fire that burns his black heart to ash. Sorry, got a bit carried away...

This series is an absolute must read. Want action, humor, a hot as hell knight in shining armor, vamps, faeries, witches, angels, love, & snarky sarcastic banter? Look no more. This book’s got it all. Plus much much more!

I wish to make a challenge of everyone! If we can get a 100 reviews for this book, I will personally do a random drawing for $100 GC!!!

This book was sensational! There is not enough stars labeled for this book seriously. I started with the word “I” and did not stop and until I got to the word “you”. Lisa Morgan has totally and utterly swept me away in her wonderful Realm. Maggie Henning and the Realm, thus far has been tremendously fascinating, and exceptional!

The Author has outdone herself with creating these characters. Building this world that has totally sucked me in and refuses to let me go. Praise for you Lisa Morgan! This is one of the series where you contemplate, how will you ever be able to find a well deserved series to match.
This by a far leap will be in my top 3, of all times favorites. If I had my way everyone would absolutely stop what they are reading and move to this!

We pick up where the story left off. Maggie, being last Phoenix, is now on a mission to save Michel. Set off on this mission with her, is Luc (my new husband). Oh my WORD is all I can say! Throughout this book Maggie is faced with more fights, battles, and struggles. She learns the most egregious truth about people in her life. The Author, leaves us pieces of the puzzle through the books entirety to help us out. All the prior characters are still in this book, fabulous as ever. Though this books seem to mainly focus alot on Maggie and Luc (which I love) It also brings in new characters. Everything and everyone just blends together like a smooth Chocolate milkshake. This book is definitely one that will make you say, no don't do it Maggie, wait stop there, no do not hold back, kiss him, take your clothes off, watch out, OMG MY STOVE IS ON FIRE!!! Yes, be sure you are not cooking or babysitting your grandkids while trying to attempt to read this series. This is a book that will definitely, pull on your heart!!! ie: the bathtub scene. Do you have the same emotioning wrench as I did on my heart? That is another wonderful aspect about this Author. She really knows how to push emotion into her words.

Do not make the mistake of reading this review and place the book on your TBR. I say read it. I love this series so much, I would never eat a butterfinger again if I could get my hands on the next book!!!! That is summary up my feelings right there!!!! Giving up a butterfinger for a book... Shaking my head!!!!

Phoenix Burning (Maggie and the Realm: Book two)

I finished this book a few days ago and I'm still reeling from the book. This book picked up from book one nicely and continued the story. I was such a wrecked mess with book one, that I thought I would find some solace and answers with book two. No the book left me with more questions and whys? How could you? It cannot be? I read a few pages a few times again willing the writing to change magically in front of my eyes. I need book three. I need to get some things resolved and fixed. My oh my this story is engrossing. It draws you in and at times I am devouring the pages and others it is like a lazy Sunday afternoon. You hold onto it keeping it close to allow it absorb your senses. I am so vested into the series and the characters.

I love Luc; I love the rawness of him and the smart ass banter he hides behind so well. Maggie is so; well my heart breaks for her. I am so heartbroken over Michel, I do not have words. I want someone to seriously take the king out; I would pay for the hit myself! Today!!!
I have to say Lisa’s books are wonderful and she wrecks your emotions across the board. Read both Phoenix Rising and Phoenix Burning! I could talk about the series forever but I honestly cannot do that, I have to just say read them! Take the journey and love

Maggie's journey continues in this second installment in the Phoenix series. Having lost Michel, Maggie sets out with the help of Luc on a harrowing quest to bring him back from "shadow". I must say, my favorite book in the series yet!! Written from the varying points of view of Maggie and Luc, there is stronger a stronger emotional feel this book than the first. If you didn't somehow fall in love with these two in the first book, then be prepared - you'll have no choice!! Morgan does an incredible job of building delicious tension and demanding that her reader remain glued to page after page!

Oh my goodness!! Holy Luc Alert!! I am slightly distraught right now because I do not have the next book in this series to immediately read. LOVED me some Luc, and all the twists that happened in this book were crazy. I can't get enough of this world and these characters. Damn Michel....let me just say I couldn't be happier with Luc and Maggie, that was the best thing about this book. I can't wait for Luc to come back and him and Maggie can kick his and the kings ass!

Dearest Lisa, please I beg of you release the next book in this series as soon as possible.

Because I LOVED the first book so much I went into Phoenix Burning with high expectations. Folks, I wasn't disappointed....Lisa C. Morgan does it again! If it's possible I love this one more than the first!

First, another great cover! (Did I mention the first cover in the other review? IDK - If not, it was smokin! hehehe) Book One left us with questions and emotionally gutted! Book Two picks up right where we left off. Maggie decides she is willing to do what it takes to fix a certain problem (come on, I can't give you that......what if you haven't read the first book?) only little does she know that things will take a turn on her journey and it's a turn she wasn't expecting nor prepared for.

I find myself trying to write this review without giving anything away and it truly is hard! Luc, , joins Maggie on her little adventure both aiming at the same goal....only the real question for Maggie becomes, 'Is this what you really want.' I read that question so many times and each and every answer left me red faced and yelling at my kindle. (earning me odd looks)

This book will draw you in and have you questioning, arguing and once again, crying. Truths are revealed that were once hidden and sublte threats make for tough choices. Everything you once thought is tossed out the window as you start to see some characters you loved in a new light. History always has a way of showing itself......let's just hope it isn't repeated.

My favorite part of this book was the new POV. Luc, (yes, the sigh is totally necessary when referencing this Prince of Celine) has a large role in Phoenix Burning and yes, you got it, we are allowed to dive into his thoughts and emotions. It didn't take long for me to start rooting for Luc and then change my mind and decide I wanted him to myself, forget rooting for him to get the girl he loves.

The end left me slack jawed and wanting to high five a certain character to the face...with a chair. I am in love with this series and can not wait until the third book is released. I am impatiently waiting and will drop whatever I am doing once it becomes available. I recommend this book to any and everyone!

Freakin' cliffhangers and curse Michel that ass! UGH! anyway If Maggie wasn't so Hell bent on bringing Michel back, she'd have time to see what was standing in front of her, even with all the teasing they do to each other.
"Do what?" He smiled, knowing full well what I was asking about, "maintain my beautiful tresses?"
"Yeah...my head must look ridiculous, like a rat's nest, but you? Nope. Not a lock out of place."
Luc smirked, lifting a strand and tossing it over his ear like a petulant brat,"I guess I'm just lucky. Don't hate me because I'm beautiful."
I guess the more times she spends with him the more time she actually sees what Luc is truly about. My opinion has changed about him since the first book "Phoenix Rising." As she spends more and more time with him I see how he interacts with her, how he cares about her, how he'd do anything to keep her safe and happy. Then there's the fact I saw her get jealous of another woman talking to him. "Better than what? I asked him, my voice cold surprising us both. "Better than the chick you were just flirting with?" Unlike the first book which had me crying, the events leading towards the ending of this one I was pissed off, and wanting to kick some asses and knee some balls, and SHIT that cliffhanger ARE YOUR KIDDING ME!

I read the first book in this series and then waited anxiously for book 2 to be released. So first let me say, if you didn't read Phoenix Rising (Book 1 in the series) make sure that you buy and read book 1 first.
This book continues right where Book 1 left off. In book 2, Maggie (the young phoenix) and Luc (the Vampire prince) are trying to find a way to bring Michel (Maggie's love and Luc's brother) back from the Angel's. Luc and Maggie travel to the Angel Realm and as they spend more time together, their feelings for each other become stronger and stronger. Maggie realizes that Luc is always there for her and makes her feel safe. I don't want to give to much away...but I can tell you that this book has some emotional moments that really touched me. And I have fallen in love with Luc - his character is so well developed and amazing.
Lisa Morgan write incredible books with characters that you will love. She really develops her characters and gives you insight into their minds and hearts.
So now I've read books 1 and 2 and all I can say is....When will book 3 be released?!? I guess I'll be anxiously waiting some more =)

“Phoenix Burning” is an amazing follow-up to “Phoenix Rising.” There is never a dull moment in this book. You will once again be captivated from beginning to end.
Margaret and Luc are on a mission to talk to the angels about getting Michel back. The journey is a hard one, but with that comes closeness and feelings Luc and Margaret feels for each other. Margaret is torn between the love she lost and the love she feels for Luc. Determined to let nothing stop her from bringing Michel back to the family that loves him might just cost her more than she realizes.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves to read a good paranormal. This book is full of surprises and never lacks action. It is definitely worth reading! I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

This book explores Luc and Maggie's journey all the way to the beautiful Realm of Angels to recover the prince they lost, Michel. Luc and Maggie grow closer along the way. Maggie then learns of truths that dramatically alter her view of the Realm she's trying to save, the evil King, and a prince she never really knew. Maggie is fighting so hard to save Prince Michel that she's blinded to her true feelings for Prince Luc!

This book was action packed and full of emotion. The romance... amazing!!! "A Phoenix cannot scorch what already burns for it." My heart's still breaking for Luc but for a different reason now. The ending has me anxiously awaiting the third book. I'm praying that Maggie and Luc can find a way to be together again!

After enjoying the first book in the series I was lucky enough to get an advance copy of the latest installment to read & review. Continuing from where the first book, Phoenix Rising, left off following Maggie, who recently found out she was the last Phoenix, in her quest to return her vampire prince back to life. Excellent storytelling, with a beautiful vampire/phoenix love scene and plenty of excitement and twists, but what an ending!!! Left me hanging on to that cliff edge by my fingertips! Cannot wait to find out what happens next.

I enjoyed Phoenix Burning a lot. The book was full of adventure, and a journey to rescue a prince from death, and in the process, Maggie takes a journey of the heart as well. She realizes where her true feelings lie, and what she would and would not do for love. Unfortunately in the end, it wasn't up to her, what sacrifices were made. The ending was a mixed bag, with much bad news, but some good, too. I can't wait for the third book in this series.

Okay have you ever got so mad at an author because the one you want someone with dies. Well I got this way with Lisa in the first book, and now she has done and did it again, but no, she can't make it easy for poor Maggie. I cried again and again in this book. I laughed and got so angry, and then wanted to go and ask Lisa, What were you thinking? But I love it so I will just wait till the next one. But I won't say I like it. I loved it.

Wow! If you thing Phoenix Rising was good you'll be blown away by this book! So Maggie is in love, but lost a big part of herself. This book entails the hope of someone coming back... but is that what happens? My viewpoint was totally twisted in this book, in a good way! :) Although I have to say... I wanted take the Phoenix's fire and burn a couple of characters myself! I am so much anticipating Phoenix Shadow, wishing I could read it now!

This definitely deserves 6 stars!! I could not put this book down and when I was forced to come back to real life there was always a part of me left with Maggie. YA is always difficult for me but this does not read like a YA at all. I can relate to Maggie. I don't feel like an old lady reading about teens. I care for Maggie and the other characters. This sequel is definitely a step up from book 1 which I adored too. Can't wait for book 3!! Thankfully I don't have to wait long at all ;)

OH MY, things are about to get real people! Maggie only wants to do what is right in a brand new world, but things aren't always as they seem. As Maggie journeys and fights her way to find answers and a way to save Michel, she finds herself doubting everything she thought she new. There are so many raw emotions here, you truly wish you could tell Maggie what you know! I feel a love story building, and I can't wait for the ride, because it is gonna be crazy!
