From the author of the acclaimed Bad Games books, comes the sequel to the award-winning short story "Sugar Daddy." ______________________________________
DADDY'S BACK...
His harrowing story finally told, best-selling author Adam Kale, aka Alex, hopes the worst is behind him.
It is not.
The "Sugar Daddy" is back, and He has an unexpected job for Alex. Refusal is not an option - not if Alex doesn't want his mother to suffer the same gory fate his friends did twenty years ago.
How will Alex's fragile psyche handle the prospect of having to kill? Worse still, what he has to kill?
Like its predecessor, "Sugar Daddy 2: Family Matters" is a 54 page short story that pushes the envelope and warps the mind. And to think, Alex thought there was only one... _____________________________________
AUTHOR'S
"Sugar Daddy 2: Family Matters" contains a few graphic scenes that some may find offensive. If you are squeamish or easily offended, please take note. Thank you.
A native of the Philadelphia area, Jeff has published multiple works in both fiction and non-fiction. In 2011 he was the recipient of the Red Adept Reviews Indie Award for Horror.
In March of 2014, his novel BAD GAMES was a #1 Kindle bestseller and is now being optioned as a feature film.
Free time for Jeff is spent watching horror movies, The Three Stooges, and mixed martial arts. He loves steak and more steak, thinks the original 1974 Texas Chainsaw Massacre is the greatest movie ever, wants to pet a lion some day, and hates spiders.
Who says sequels suck? This weird sequel continues where Pt. 1 ended. Who is the mysterious man in the audience? Why feels the entity followed by another and threatens to kill the author's woman. What about the author's sexual problems and the strange woman he meets. This story is a roller coaster ride in bizarre fiction if there ever was one. I enjoyed both parts and am glad that the author came up with a follow up to his first story. Recommended!
The sequence go more intense and more terrifying. Adam aka Alex the horror aurhor thought the dark past of his been gone for forever. But he wqs wrong, he was just terribly, terribly wrong about his own statement about it. Because 'The Sugar Daddy' is back and he yet to lewve him for alone. This time he made him a choice to think of. If Alex refuses the choice his dear mom's life would be in great danger. If he choose the his side well who knows what outcome may shown while he did it. Better thing to consider but he got no choice. I didn't feel like it was an average short horror. But even it was too short and sequel of the first part it got its all elements of horror to scare the shit out of you for sure. Best sequel part I ever including the first part too. Highly recommended from my side. Thanks to the author for this mind freaking experience of read...
Twenty years after Adam Kale's terrifying ordeal in the hidden basement of an upscale suburban home, his nightmares still haunt him. Drugs and alcohol are his refuge from the gruesome scenes he witnessed then. But at least the demon has let him go about his business without any physical harm.
Well, not exactly. The demon has come back to ask a favor of Kale. It's like one of those Mafia deals you can't refuse - you're damned if you do, damned if you don't. The big question: Would Kale be up for the task (in more ways than one, as you'll see), and could he trust the demon to keep his part of the bargain?
As with the first Sugar Daddy, this one ends with a bang, and of course, a surprise or two. If you enjoyed Sugar Daddy, Sugar Daddy 2 is a must-read.
I liked this short story even better than I liked the first. Really interesting and really fun. It was well written and well plotted, with the same great main characters that the first one featured. This one was even creepier than the first, and with a great twist at the end that I certainly didn't see coming. I look forward to even more from this author!
Another great short on words, but not on substance. All I can say is: WOW and WTF?!?!
I liked Sugar Daddy, but Sugar Daddy 2--NEVER saw THAT ending coming. Hmmm maybe a trilogy in the making...Sugar Babies?! Come now Jeff, you know you want to.
Whoa, man, I was not prepared for this sequel. I thought the first one had reached a pinnacle of craziness, but Sugar Daddy 2 reached an all new level of freakish and twisted. Menapace through language and writing style keeps you guessing constantly. It was also incredibly creative and I was able to keep up with the twists, I just wished the twists and suspense could have been simpler, it was a little dizzying, but all creatively done. there were a few things I found completely distasteful as well. But I already knew the horror genre is a racy place. It was so suspenseful, though, having read 1, it was the biggest page turner. Menapace is really great at characterization with these, it accounts for about 40% of the greatness, the other 60% would be writing strategy and plot. It should get 5 stars, but for personal preference, the horror aspect was too overwhelming for me, 4.
I have to give an A+ for writing, editing. I'm a bit disappointed with the shortness. You could have done much more with this story. It's a good one, plot. The characters weren't developed as well as the first. I'm going to try one of your novels. I have an idea that with more space and time to expand it will be a 5* .I love your style.
