These true stories are your unique, personal opportunities to enjoy a taste of Heaven from here on earth. Heaven Is Beyond Your Wildest Expectations shares the testimonies of ten ordinary people who have been to Heaven—having died and returned, or in a vision or dream. These real-life, modern-day stories inspire faith that, no matter what happens here on earth, all troubles are momentary, light afflictions compared to the glory that awaits you in Heaven. For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison (2 Corinthians 4:17). When you see God’s love permeating all of Heaven and realize that He reaches down to you right where you are, your heart will come to rest in Him—knowing He is watching over you and that His angels will minister to you in every moment of need. When you know that Heaven’s splendor and glory is your eternal destiny, you can endure whatever you must while patiently waiting for the day when you will enter Heaven and your eternal joy in the presence of the Lord. This book is revealing Heaven to you!
Sid Roth is an American author, actor, and Christian media figure. From one of his book bios: "Sid Roth has a passion for people to experience the power of God for the purpose of having intimacy with Him. He is a pioneer in the convergence of Jews and Christians in Messiah Jesus that brings about an explosion of God s power."
Disappointing. Purportedly "ten true stories of experiencing heaven", this book is rife with internal contradictions and scriptural inconsistencies. Sid Roth has a reputation of honest, if enthusiastic grasping for the "supernatural", so perhaps he just got carried away. Assumedly Roth documented what could be documented, especially of the dead-and-recovered cases, and thought them credible enough to publish.
Oddly, though the stories differ greatly, the writing style is consistent. Since some of the stories were interviews, perhaps they all were and the writing done by Lonnie Lane.
A quote: "A NASA scientist later told me there is an impurity in gold, and when its removed, gold is no longer yellow, it's crystal clear." Yes, polished, pure gold reflects like a mirror (and, therefore, sometimes looks glass-like), but it isn't clear; it's a metal--a dense metal. Perhaps a different chemistry applies in the new Jerusalem.(ref. Revelations 21:18)
Read the Bible, folks. Don't get swept up in this perhaps-well-intentioned nonsense.
This book leaves you wanting to know more. It's fascinating and powerful all at the same time. The way different people's experiences overlap and yet are unique is amazing but at the same time authenticates them.
Interesting -- there were similarities in the stories, but they were all different. Several things come out -- the music and the colors beyond anything we can imagine here on earth....And the overwhelming love of Jesus --

This is one of my favorite books on people's experiences in Heaven. Here are a few of my favorite quotes:
"I don't know how many universes you can place in his eyes." "Every time we take a breath of air, the Father God is saying, 'I love you.'" "There is nothing in the physics of Heaven that is similar to the physics on earth." "We have so many senses in the spirit body unlike the five sense we have here on earth." "I had a mind that thought with a speed that is incomputable on earth." "God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him." (Jonathan Edwards) "Everything made sense now. There were no missing pieces to the 'puzzles of life.'"
A must read with a powerful message. Experience after death life through others who have been there in Christ. Christ is he way, the only way to heaven.
Bad! Gets worse as you go through it. The stories of heaven become more and more far fetched. It feels like the author is grasping for straws to make us think that heaven is some wonderful mystical place. Don’t waste your time.
A well-meaning book with very little 'heaven' in it. It's 10 experiences - 1 per chapter - and about 9 of them were just visions that were heavy with symbolism for the recipients. Only 1 was an actual 'ok maybe he really did go to the spirit world for a while.'
You can tell they're visions because A) the doctrine is mostly wrong and b) the various stories contradict each other. For one guy heaven is a garden. For another, it's a 780 story skyscraper.
The one story was cool - I think it was chapter 8 or 9, where a guy sees a 'diadem tree' that is like a chandelier. That was some neat imagery.
There are silvers of true doctrine in here but for the most part it's very old school 'this is what you expect heaven to be so here you go' with six-winged angels and weird creatures.
I enjoyed reading this. The life experiences of those who have undergone an intimate revelation of life beyond death were incredible and way beyond expectation. It was very informative and reminded me of my own spiritual being that I should be more conscious of. That having been said, the only thing I didn't like was the feeling that I was being given a list of other books to read - almost like a commercial to buy more product. While I appreciate that many people will love having a way to get more info on the people who experienced heaven's glory and splendor, it wasn't necessary for me personally.
Unputdownable. Amazing descriptions of heaven and the father and the son Jesus Christ, with verses from the holy bible bearing witness to the veracity of the descriptions. But some chapters describe the father and the son differently which is not right. Other narratives confirm the unity and oneness of both persons of God.
Although these short accounts of people's experience in going to Heaven and seeing Jesus are interesting, I find that I enjoy the complete story where the person who has had the experience in Heaven tells how it has changed their lives.
A waste of money .. I felt it’s an old school way of convincing people to go back to their religion .. but you don’t do it by saying wrong things about other religions. The language and the stories are bad. He started right , only the first few pages. Please don’t waste your time reading it.
Wszystko udokumentowane, w przypadkach, gdy wydarzenie miało miejsce np. w szpitalu.
I read this book while on 3 days fasting and I wept and prayed for my unsaved friends that the eyes of their understanding would be opened to what God in Christ Jesus has prepared for them. The words of this song played continously on my mind as I read and even after. 'Oh I want to see Him to look upon His face. There to sing forever of his saving grace. On the streets of glory let me lift my voice. Cares are passed home at last every to rejoice.' Hallelujah our God reigns!
I truly enjoyed reading these accounts of life after death. Even if you don't believe someone can go to heaven and come back to tell about it, these stories are very thought provoking. To imagine all that is written in this book as true, gives me great hope and peace as I do know the Saviour. These encounters helped me see more with my minds eye of what awaits me.
Those who aren't into NDE accounts of trips to heaven probably won't like it and find something to criticize like they always do but I enjoyed it. I always look for themes when I read this genre and there was a handful among the various accounts. I account I especially liked and will look for his book. I also liked a couple of others. One account was really strange, Ezekielique in nature.
I really like the wonderful descriptions of heaven that were given in this book. The astronomy, the colors, the people, the animals, the plant life, etc.. Also the things that were said by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! It strengthens our faith and what we have to look forward to also! Thank you for this book Mr. Roth!
Some very interesting observations about heaven that seem otherworldly but have quite a bit of commonality.
I am also moved by how these experiences changed the folks and their pursuits in like . Even a medical doctor gave up his profession to tell others about the Lord.
I'm an 18 year old, and I absolutely love watching sid roth on YouTube, This book is amazing, I could feel God's presence reading it. This book has opened my eyes to more of Jesus's love and how Heaven is truly like. It has also reminded me of how terrible hell is.
This book gives you much to think upon and ponder. There were similarities between the stories, yet each held different focuses or a different ways of re-sharing the experience. What truly stands out in all the accounts is the the overwhelming love of Jesus and that the splendor/magnificence of Heaven is beyond our earthly imagination, understanding and vocabulary. I highly this book.
So thought provoking and joyous. God loves me and my Savior . Jesus, died for my sins making me righteous before God. All ages should read this book and understand how much God loves us.
what a bunch of emotional fear.Read the Bible. talk to a minister who you trust. know that God loves you. Share his love do good and pray . God will give piece and guide you in your life.
This book gives such an insight into heaven that it is difficult to take it all in , however the pictures it paints are so breathtakingly beautiful that you would have to be a fool to not believe . Come Lord Jesus .
Enjoyed these testimonials a lot. They made Heaven seem more real. After a while I skipped the commentary at the end of each chapter. It was just a rehash.
So inspiring to hear first hand accounts of heaven. Couldn’t put it down!! Such hope for those who choose to follow Jesus... the only Way to the Father.
It was powerful testimony, making heavens glory personal to me. Best read for believers who want a closer walk with Jesus and for non-believers who want a picture of heaven.
