About the author

People seem to be more interested in my name than where I get my ideas for my stories from. So I might as well share the story behind my name with all my readers.

My momma was born and raised in New Orleans. At the age of twenty, she met and fell in love with an Irishman named Patrick Riley Dwyer. Needless to say, the family was a bit taken aback by this as they hoped she would marry a family friend. It was a modern day arranged marriage kind of thing and my momma downright refused.

Being that my momma’s families were descendents of the original English speaking southerners, they wanted the family blood line to stay pure. They were wealthy and my father’s family was poor.

Despite attempts by my grandpapa to make Patrick leave and destroy the love between them, my parents married. They recently celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary.

I am one of six children born to Patrick and Lynn Dwyer. I am a combination of both Irish and a true southern belle. With a name like Dixie Lynn Dwyer it’s no wonder why people are curious about my name.

Just as my parents had a love story of their own, I grew up intrigued by the lifestyles of others. My imagination as well as my need to stray from the straight and narrow made me into the woman I am today.

Living on the streets was a bad enough nightmare, but becoming the target of a notorious gang leader who wants to claim her as his own has Lena living on borrowed time. Lena escapes the streets of Detroit, fleeing to Pearl looking for a new start. Taken under the wing by a kind Doctor and his family, Lena meets his sons Quinn, Blake, and Kenny Jones. The attraction is immediate, but Lena's past has her moving slowly where the three of them are concerned. When Lena is asked to help with the most troublesome Jones, named Bryant, she quickly loss her heart to him as well but there is a wedge between the brothers that needs fixed before they can have any type of future.

I thought this was a fantastic addition to the series, loved Bryant he is intense and totally alpha male. Lena is tough and I thought it was perfect pacing for the way they begin their relationship slowly and Lena struggles with her feelings. Wonderful read.

I think that as much as I love ménage romance... This one was so much more about just Lena and Bryant (who I adored!) Lena didn't feel quite fulfilled enough as a character for me. Decent book, nothing fantastic though.

I've been a fan of Miss Dixie Lynn Dwyer for quite a while and this is my favorite series so far. I loved Lena's story and I especially like the way that Dixie writes all her hero's. They are so unique and Alpha. She really knows how to take 4 men and make them all super sexy and different. I have already pre-ordered Millie's Second Chance and I can't wait for more. Keep writing Dixie...we need more books.

I really liked Lena. She was strong and didn't take any shit but was still sweet.
The guys were ok but didn't stand out to me. I was glad when Lena told Bryant he was acting like a baby cause he really was and needed to stop being such an ass.
The only thing I didn't like was that there was no prep or care before anal. The guys just barged right in and of course Lena loved it. REALLY? That's NOT gonna happen in real life. Ok, Ok, I know this is fiction but seriously?

When Lena runs from Detroit, she finds herself in Pearl where Dr. Jones hires her. She meets his sons who thinks she is trouble but working with Bryant who is filled with anger and cuts ties with his family, shows them another side of Lena. They are all drawn to her but trouble from her past calls her home. Will the Jones brothers show her a reason to stay in Pearl and will it lead them on to a happily ever after? This story drew me in an had me in their corner.

I ABSO-FREAKIN-LUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK!!! I am speechless right now. This story is so romantic, sexy, and filled with angst. At times I as crying so hard for Lena, my heart just ached. Lena is a strong, caring, beautiful, independent woman who is try her best to survive on the streets of Detroit. There's a major threat trying to possess her. She runs away to save herself and find a place to start over but unfortunately she has to leave so quick she leaves behind her two friends Ariel and Sage. She ends up in Texas in a town called Pearl. She meets Doc a really special man who is the town doctor. After she finally realises she can trust him, he and his wife Abigail take her in and try to help her any way they can. It takes her a really long time to trust people because of her time homeless on the streets of Detroit. She meets Abigail's husbands, yes husbands plural, Doc, Frank, and Will and their four sons Bryant who is a war veteran who was hurt in the line of duty and has withdrawn from his entire family and has become angry and hateful at everyone. Then there's Quinn and Blake who run their parents horse training farm and Kenny who is a sheriff's deputy. All of these men are walking talking gorgeous alpha men and they have their sights set on Lena. They make her feel things she has never felt before. Her chemistry with all of them is off the charts smokin hot and will leave you creaming in your panties and set your crotch on fire. Lol. She doesn't know how to react to them. She can't believe she has feelings for all four of them. When the threat comes looking from Lena it get pretty intense and she finds herself clinging hard to the guys then ever nd they wouldn't have it y other way. I extremely recommend this book to everyone! Dixie never ceases to amaze me.

I don’t think I will ever look a bottle of syrup the same way again anytime soon, I am so glad my husband was home for that one 😉 Now granted I am not into more than one man (my Husband) but hot diggity does this author make it sound awesome.
Lena’s life has been full of hard knocks and believe me when I tell you I am a glad I wasn’t sitting next to my spouse a few times (he already ducks or moves away from me during violent TV shows lol). Again; Dixie Lee Dwyer took something that happens every day in this country and around the world and put a face on it and also added hope to it, I know a lot of woman out there do give up hope and just want to take the easy way and wish for someone to rescue them like Lena’s friend Ariel, that poor girl. But not Lena, she wouldn’t give up and she gave as good as she got, and for those women out there who are still fighting the good fight keep fighting and raise your daughters to be strong.

This second time around, reading this book I again had a hard time putting this book down and the other book I am reading suffered for it. The first two books in this series are equally hot, steamy and compelling and well worth the read. I look forward to reading Millie’s story again and catching up with the rest of the series 🙂

Loved it!

Dean's story was fantastic. The interaction between Lena and her men was excellent, but I have to say that the initial interaction between Lena and Bryant was the best. I also liked how Lena was so set on going back for Sage. She wanted to do it before she found out about the danger Sage may have been in, but became adamant after she gained that knowledge. I am looking forward to reading the next in the series.

I loved Lena, she's a strong mature sexy women who's been through a horrible time. Theres a lot more to this story then the others in series. Other characters from previous books are in this story also new ones come into town because of Lena.
The things that go on in story is very graphic and violent. Great ending and HEA for the Jones.

Not bad. Four hot men one very lucky woman. I loved Lena's character. She is petite of course like in all the other books. But I don't care. She is stacked too. I loved that the heroine has a hourglass figure. I also loved the men. Yummy. I wish this place was real! Had some action. Had hot sex.

While I really love all Dixie Lynn Dwyer books for some reason this has become my favourite. Lena was a street smart sassy heroine. I loved how she handled Bryant Jones and his three brothers.
