This book is a wonderful resource and testament to anyone trying to find joy in their life. The author has clearly been through many trials and tribulations in her life and has gone through this journey herself. She provides a framework for seeking joy, while citing numerous Bible verses to reference. I am very glad I read this book and will be looking into her other works.
This book contains strategies for living a joy filled life, as the tagline says. It is intended mostly for those suffering from depression but also for those combating anger, fear and anxiety.
Mrs. Mason lovingly but firmly takes you by the hand and leads you through each needed (even if painful) step in order for you to experience true healing which leads to true joy.
She understands what you’re going through because she’s been there. But there is no “coddling” here, no “enabling” here, no allowances for excuses here.
I found this book to be well balanced between not being a “buck-it-up” type of message and also not being a misery-loves-company or a “oh, poor dear” false sympathy type of message.
