Masahito Soda
162 books19 followersSODA Masahito (曽田正人) is a Japanese manga artist. Soda studied at Nihon University, but left prior to graduating. He worked as an assistant for Taku Kitazaki, and debuted in 1990 with GET ROCK, published in Magazine Special. His most notable series are Firefighter! Daigo of Fire Company M and Subaru.
In 1997 Soda won the Shogakukan Manga Award for Firefighter! Daigo of Fire Company M, and in 2005 he won the Kodansha Manga Award for Capeta.

This is like one of my favorite anime of all time, I remember coming across it 15 years ago and rereading it in manga form just brought the memories back, I will say Capeta is one of the greatest animanga ever and it will make you love manga and formula 1 in general!
The story about the kid Capeta whose dad is work most of the time, not having much money and secluded and all with his friends Monami and Nobu (here he starts off as an enemy) and you know how it goes but how that ultimately changes when Capeta finds out his dad is making a Go-kart for him in surprise and when he rides it first time, and when his Dad manages to see it, the whole elation on his face is next level and I was gleeing while reading it, its so well done and the relation there is just perfect, a guy whose secluded but had the willingness to never give up, deriving happiness from small things and then seeing him so happy while driving his passion things.. ahh i will go on a whole tangent but suffice to say i am so excited to read it in manga form now and this vol 1 was incredible with great art and great story to come!
